Android Notification Slide Down Window For Windows Mobile 6.5?? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Is it possible for somebody to make a notification system just like that for either windows mobile 6.1 or 6.5. i love that system, thats the only thing i like on android. It makes it so easy to check iM's ,text messages, and email.

+1
that'd be amazing, even for 6.1!!!

thats a pretty good idea.

man only if i can do it.... any developers out there is it even possible. if it is ill try to do it my self....

Any updates on this?

don't think so...but HTC has something that comes close.
consider flashing a rom with manila 2.1 on either winmo 6.1 or 6.5 (some of the 6.5 roms are great and stable. check out energy's roms. they're fast and stable)

Doubth about Windows Mobile 6.1

hello everyone... im new on windows mobile, and i want to upgrade my HTC 8125 windows mobile 5 to 6.1 with touch flo...
most programs i have are for Windows Mobile 5,
i wonder if they still compatible with wm 6.1?
thanks...
hope u can help me...
you can run just about anything for wm5 on wm6.1
you just need to find a rom that has touch scrolling. the touchflo control panel is not nessesary.
my rom has the touch dll installed in it and in most cases I dont use a stilus. most roms have the scroling feature nowadays anyway.
watch for brightrom final.
I will be uploading it tomorrow.
thanks!
i want touch flo just to have the feature but as a matter of fact... any good room will be good:.. thanks! =)

URGENT QUESTIONS re WM 6.5

Hi All,
Just contemplating upgrading from 6.1 to 6.5 and have a few questions, that I hope you fellas can help me with:_
1. I use sprite backup - So could I roll back to 6.1 and my phone as it was after upgrading to a 6.5 ROM?
2. Will TomTom Navigator 6 still work with WM 6.5 as it does with WM 6.1?
3. What is the most stable/best WM 6.5 ROM out their?
4. How will Pocket informant run on WM 6.5
Big thanks in advance of any assistance.

1) You would have to load up a 6.1 ROM then restore your backup. It is recommended that you NOT restore your back up on a 6.5 ROM.
2) I don't use TomTom, but it should work just as it did with WM6.1. I've read where people say it works fine.
3) This is everyone's own opinion. I'm running RRE. Da_G just released an updated base ROM, which is great if you like bare bones. Shep's is also good from what I hear.
4) Not sure about that, I've never used Pocket Informant.

Thanks for the time taken to input into my thread
I do like bare bones, so Da_G might be the way forward for me.
1.What is it like on battery life?
2. Do you get the normal black theme, as opposed to fancy stuff?
3. How have you found its stability?
Many thanks again.

Personally Shep's rom is the best. I have found the battery life to be nothing short of exceptional!
Frequently arrive home after 11 hours of use with 85%+ left. Emails polling every 15 mins, internet usage and text messaging useage and frequent phone calls.

What Radio are you using with that m8?
I also like Da G's ROM, it's minimal and really good on battery life. Also, I'm not sure if it's the ROM or 6.5, but my GPS seems to be much more responsive. Previously I was using an AT&T test ROM with Rhodium Manila and it wasn't nearly as nice... the UI takes a li'l bit to get used to and it doesn't offer as much as TF3D, but it's incredibly stable.
as for Pocket informant it appears that WM6.5 has changed a few things. and most 3rd party cal. are having issues. I tried SBSH Calendar Touch and PI. PI crashed randomly and SBSH did not display recurring appointments. Hopefully those apps will fix it as soon as MS releases the documentation on WM6.5. Check out there forums and search a little if you want ot find out more.
As for ROM play and test them... I am using PROvens because I liked the way Rhodium was already installed and titanium was removed. but I am sure others have done the same.
Have a great day.
SoBBie
I'm using Radio 1.02.25.10
Really I can't speak highly enough of Shep's work!

WM6.1 vs. 6.5 on Wizard

I'm new to this forum and to flashing the ROM on my Wizard. This is a fantastic forum with a wealth of contributions, though it is rather daunting for the newcomer.
I have experimented with a couple of WM6.5 builds (RC4 and newer Beta), a 6.1 build, and the original 5.0. I find WM6.5 to be rather unusable. WiFi doesn't work well, TouchNFlo is intermittent, and everything is dog slow. 6.1 seems a nice upgrade to 5.0.
Are others having a similar experience with 6.5? Is it too much for this 3 year old device? I'm not sure what the advantages are, other than personal taste for user interface.
Another question (and excuse me for perhaps not doing a better search)--if I find a build I like, but want more than the "clean" version, can I easily add the missing pieces, such as Manila 2D?
Thanks everyone!
Hi! Glad you joined! With regards to your question....WM6.5 officially released on October the 18th so until then all of the WM6.5 builds were based on betas and RCs which usually have bugs and what not which usually end up being slow anyways...there are several 6.5 builds based of of the final/ release version which run fairly quick . WM6.1 has been out for a while now and is the best go between for WM5 and 6.5 as of right now and its highly recommended by me! Im not telling you to (because you should research and pick one on your own!) but i used X2Hs NSN WM6.1 with Manila 2D and it was blazing fast so you should look into that!Cheers!
Maybe try to overclock your wizard? I got H3r's WM 6.5 rom on my wizard. Overclocked to 260 Mhz, about 29-30 MB of free ram after reboot. It works better than some 6.1 roms i tested.
I installed X2H's new "iphone killer" WinMo 6.5 ROM and its BLAZING FAST even without overclocking.... i highly suggest you look into that!!!!!

in fact there are some cabs to add m2d (4 ex) htc home, etx.
and yes im using the iphone killer (wm6.5 based) and is really fast, no need to overclock (i think is no worth to overclock since the wizard work flawless with iphone killer and some others i have tried be4)
but 6.5 have a flexible interface so you wont miss the m2d (i prefer the htc home) but 6.5 is very nice..... and of course if you go to spb shell page there you can download very nice demos and get the best.good looking-funcional interface.
good luck!
p.s. send pm if you want more tips

Over / under clocking iphone killer rom
Hi there, how can you use dynamic over/under clocking with the iphone killer rom?
Download Homescreen++ and deactivate the Windows Standart Desktop Interface an select Homescreen++

Facebook....

Is there any way to port the Windows 7 Facebook app to the HTC HD2, it is completely different and runs a lot smoother then the current Facebook App for Windows 6.5
Not really, no. It's like asking for an android or iphone app to be on windows mobile 6.5. It's completely different now. But I understand, it would be nice to have the same functionality the WP7 facebook has as it was made so recent as opposed to the older 6.5 version with a few things missing here and there, like a full view of who said what.

[Q] how to Get Back to WM 6.5 ?

Hi Everybody !
you all know how strange it might be some requests form your boss but this is the most strange one !
My Boss has a system that work on WM 6.5 only and doesn't work on WM 7 and he requested that I should Provide him with 40 New WM 6.5 devices !
you know that they are not available currently So I figured out that I should buy new WM 7 Devices and Flash it Back to WM 6.5 !
I think theoretically this is possible but have anyone tried it ?!!!
I want to Try it on HTC 7 pro Device , Could anyone tell me what the steps I need to do that ?
any other suggested Devices ? I only want it to be New ,with QWERTY keypad and I can install WM 6.5 on it !
Can this be done with an Android Device ?
Thank you all in Advance.
Not possible.
Contact your business carrier and see if they can get anything, otherwise tell boss it is no longer made and WP7 is not an upgrade but a new product which is incompatable and nowhere near as good as WM6.5.
Just tell him MS have lost the plot.

I feel your pain mate, WM6.5 was great and MS have taken a huge leap backwards. We're not alone either, their market share has plummetted due to the move as people have either desperately scrounged for WM6.5 devices or moved to Android and had their in house apps re-written or found new alternatives.
WP7 and winmo 6.5 are completely different and not backwards compatible as said above.
Winmo 6.5 was good, but Mango is promising, however, specifically written programs written for business are a different ball game, get on to ebay and buy some HD2's, unless you know a developer who can re-write the programme for WP7?

There is no Upgrading for the System !
I will try the HD2 Choice.
Thank you for your support.
The hd2 is awesome. I've had win6.5, win7, ubuntu and a ton of android versions on it. If you have an issue, just wipe it clean and start over.
