App needed to sync Outlook with ActiveSync via mail2web account - General Questions and Answers

I have searched for this in the last 2 hours and still cannot find a solution
this is my setup:
I sync my HTC Diamond to my Work and Home PC's via ActiveSync. I have also synced my phone to my mail2web account.
I now want to sync my Outlook Express on both PC's to my mail2web account so that any changes I make to Contacts, Calendar or Notes will be automatically synced no matter where I am. (not interested in syncing emails as I have a mailboxes setup on my phone which im fine with).
I have looked at various things like synchronica, funambol, etc. I have tried adding the mail2web account to my Outlook but it does not work. Can anyone help me regarding this?
thanks

A bit late and I'm quite sure you already found out out to enable multiple PC synchronisation and one exchange sync.

Help with my Outlook Email Setup & HTC Wizard

I need some help setting up email on my 8125 to efficiently sync with Outlook on my Laptop.
In Outlook on my PC I have multiple Gmail accounts setup. Emails from these accounts come into the same Inbox folder (within the same Outlook Data File, of course). Whenever I respond to an email, the reponse is sent from the Gmail account that the email was originally sent to.
Is there any way to emulate this on the HTC Wizard?
I have no problem synching the Outlook Inbox on the 8125. However, to check email while on the road, I have to setup each Gmail account separately. The emails are downloaded into separate inboxes within their respective account folders.
Because of this any reading/responding/deleting of emails I do on the phone does not sync to Outlook on my PC.
This sux because I have to maintain the separate POP accounts on the phone as well as my Outlook Inbox.
Does anybody else have a similiar PC setup to mine that can offer any insight or suggestions. They'd be greatly appreciated.
Even though I don't know much about them, I have a feeling that an exchange server (or possibly Cingular Xpress Mail) may be the only solution for my problem.
THanks in advanced for any help!

Problem with Outlook2007 and Exchange - please help

I am not particularly experienced with Windows, so please excuse any obvious mistakes.
I recently got a PC with Outlook 2007, (previously I only had a Mac with Entourage, and a PPC Wizard - I synced them with a 4Smartphone Exchange Account).
I managed to get Outlook 2007 to work with the account, then it asked me if I wanted to archive my e-mails, I thought, somewhat naively I guess, that it would just backup my e-mails to the PC - instead it stripped them all from the Exchange account.
Effectively Outlook has archived all my past mails to archive.pst, on my PC, leaving me with no way of accessing them from my exchange account OWA, Entourage, and PPC.
Just replacing mails in the Exchange inbox in Outlook does not cause it to re-sync them with the online account. How can I repopulate Exchange? (Noticeably none of the e-mails are synced from the PC to my PPC either.)
To be honest I find all the options in Outlook slightly arcane; I realise that this might not be the best place to ask, but I really am not versed in PC forums.
Thanks for any help.

Sync ALL mail accounts with Outlook

hi everybody,
i have an issue with my polaris device...it wont sync my email accounts.
here a little closer description:
i have 2 mail accounts in my device, the standard "Outlook-E-Mail" account
and an POP3 account added by hand from myself.
Now i tried to sync the POP3 acc. with outlook on my PC cause there are some
important mails for me, and i dont wanna loose them in future..
i tried to move the mails from the POP3 account to the "Outlook-E-Mail" but that
wont work, i only can move them inside the POP3 Account.
i also tried to make the same account in outlook on my PC, but that doesnt work too..
im a bit pissed did anyone knows how to get my mails from my POP3 account on my
PC outlook so they are safe?

Outlook sync

How to sync Outlook contacts without Kies?I thought Nokia PC sync software was bad but Kies is the biggest piece of useless garbage.Active Sync looks great by comparison.
if you have gmail, try this: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=90284
sync with outlook
Does the captivate come with software for the computer? I am trying to plan ahead. I currently have a WM 6.1 Phone.
My Captivate didn't come with any software, I had to download Kies separately. Contacts seem to have synced fairly well but a bunch of my Outlook calendar appointments didn't sync but I haven't had the time to figure out if there is a common denominator between them.
The is my work account so I can't sync it to Google. I agree that Active Sync worked much better.

Many Outlook to Captivate sync solutions available
You originally asked what software was available besides Kies. There is a lot. You can go to www dot syncdroid dot net where you will find a chart of the software, what it syncs (such as calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, and email), whether it uses USB or wireless, the price (many free), and more. There is also an overview of each software item. Go forth and sync!
Get your outlook to sync with Gmail or Hotmail. And sync those accounts directly with your phone. Problem solved. Both gmail and hotmail allow calendar and contacts sync. Even when I was using WM phones, I never use ActiveSync to sync anything with my PC. Too much hassle and error prone (don't remember how many times I wiped all my contacts clean by accidentally deleted my activesync patenership).

[Q] Sync Outlook Email on Android (through USB, not Exchange)

I don't have Exchange, I just use Outlook at home with my POP3 account, is there any software I can use to Sync my Outlook emails to my phone (Android 2.2), just through USB sync? I can't find any.
I've got my contacts & calendar sync'ing fine, through HTC sync software.
This is so frustrating not having emails on my phone, I'm almost thinking of installing hMailServer onto my WHS box..
Appreciate the feedback.
HTC Desire HD.
configure your outlook to leave copy of messages on the server and add the same account to your phone using IMAP (or if you do not have IMAP access, set it as POP3 and also leave messages on the server)
I would have replied the same as the previous poster but maybe OP doesn't have a data plan?
Sent from my Vision using XDA App
That won't really sync with my outlook though, it's just checking the emails remotely, which I have been doing. I file all of my emails that I want to keep from my inbox into sub-folders, so I really need to sync my phone with Outlook.
Anyone else have some options before I start looking at setting up an SMTP server? Surely there's got to be something that will sync Outlook emails?
I was very surprised that the HTC sync software didn't do it!
I'm assuming by the lack of responce my only option is to setup a SMTP server..
I did find one cleaver idea, but isn't suitable for me, posting if anyone else is searching for a solution:
- Use Gmail (or similar) to pick up your email from your pop account
- Sync Outlook & phone with Gmail
The issue I have with this one is I use multiple domain names that I need to email out from..

This is the best method. You can actually pull multiple accounts into GMail (up to 5, I believe), and then you can also set Gmail up so that you can send as one of those accounts. The latest version of Gmail for Android lets you choose which account you then want to use - right there on your phone.
