Hi,
Did you by accident install your .NET on Storage Card instead of main memory ? If not, how many versions you have installed now ? If you got more than 1, try using the M$ tool to set one of them as standard....

Have you tried to install a newer .net? It will sync to your phone when connected - and install if the version is newer..
You can check you current version by launching \windows\cgacutil.exe
This will show you all of the installed versions. Usually the way .net cf works is features & support are added with the newer versions so you'll have more than one version installed. Some proggies need net cf 1 to run & 2 or 3 won't make up for missing 1.

Question regarding Google Maps Mobile

I have version 2.0.1.33 pre-installed in my X7510. I searched the google maps mobile site, but did not find what the latest version is, does anyone know?
I wanted to know because I get this error "My location Beta is not compatible with the device" message. I was wondering if this problem was fixed in their latest version. Questions pertaining to this same question on their site has no answers, maybe someone here knows a solution?
Thanks in advance.

The current version is 2.2.0.16. I have been successful in the past few months by DLing from www.google.com/glm/ on my device. I find that the page located here shows the version number, whereas www.google.com/gmm/ does not.

I received that same error message on version 2.2.0.10 while travelling a few weeks ago in Florida. I had never seen that message before, and was surprised I got it at all, considering that I KNOW GMM works with my device. I have not gotten that error message since that one time, so it might have been a fluky thing on their servers.
Anyway, I hope this helps in some way,

Thank you very much. This helped a lot.
I downloaded from google.com and got version 2.1.0.10
I wonder why the difference in the latest version???
I still got the same result. Where can I get he CAB file of your version number?
I get the same error, just disregard it. As far as I can tell, it doesn't affect anything with the app using GPS. It must be a feature abailable to specific devices.

Very strange. I DL'd from the URL I presented above (google.com/glm), and [I just double-checked] the version number it installed is also as above (2.2.0.16). I cannot explain why your's is different. Maybe it has something to do with locale???? Curious ... what version did the DL page state for you?

Hi guys I've been trying to download that version many times, but all I get is the "jad" file.
I've tried looking for the download link on my PC and windows mobile phone and the only place I can download it is in the "on a mobile device? click here."
Can someone please point me to the right direction or provide the cab?

Just go to the site from your phone, and from there you can download the cab. The .jad file is for Java, what device do you have?

I have the HTC Touch (Sprint Vogue). I stated that I tried that, but all I get is the .jad file. Other people have stated that they got theirs without any trouble.
I have downloaded the latest ROM with WM 6.1 from their official website.
Is there any other way I can get the cab?
UPDATE
Thanks for the help, but I found that using Opera or Skyfire will not give you the cab file.
You have to use Internet Explorer to get the file.
UPDATE
I got Google Maps to work correctly on my HTC X7510. The option "MY LOCATION" now works fine. All I did was set the options to "MANUALLY" locate GPS. Basically I plugged-in the vallues I used from Start>Connections>GPS Settings.

Android is not a special "thing" you just put anywhere and run, it has a kernel and is composed out of drivers and configurations, i'm pretty shure everething is out there but needs to be packed out together...
I'm a software developer but i have no experience compiling Android, my research is driving me to the HTC Lexikon (Merge) recently launched, this PDA hardware is very similar to the Imagio and it stock's Android so the work will be almost done and we won't need to start from "0", if you can help about please contact me..
Try this one

Post your results !!!
Has AnyOne tried his solution?
the lexikon is almost alike to the imagio
and if it doesnt work you can flash back.
So its a win win

Hi, i am currently developing Android for the Imagio, i just startted the process and some tests, yesterday i was able to boot using a Topaz old testing kernel, but the screen was blank. I plan to compile a custom kernel for the Imagio.
I posted the Lexikon image but it wont work for the imagio because of the processor are different (Imagio= MSM7600) but i guess i could use some drivers from the Lexikon...
Wish me luck, i'm reading a lot to understand the kernel and Android
You can download the image i used here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/h9LTDTdp/droid_booted_imagiotar.html
And maybe, if you find the correct cmd_line arguments for HaRET you can get the screen to work properly
Glad someone is working on this. I'm right there with you! Make a thread on the imagio forum or pm me if you need testing.

[Q] face book ap

HI, i just installed xda face book 4.5 on my htc hd2 and keep getting the following error " this application requires a newer version of the microsoft .NET compact framework than the version installed on this device" what does this mean? why does it come up? could it be because I have cookies sense installed also? thankyou
Why dont you ask in the app thread?
It just means you need to install the latest version of the .net compact framework.
Its just a simple cab install. Either search the forum for it or ask in the xdafacebook thread, im sure they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

[Q] htc hd2 error messages

HI, i just installed xda face book 4.5 on my htc hd2 and keep getting the following error " this application requires a newer version of the microsoft .NET compact framework than the version installed on this device" what does this mean? why does it come up? could it be because I have cookies sense installed also? I get the same message with some not all applications I install. thankyou
The question you are asking relates to one of the big mysteries on Windows Mobile. In fact, if you are using a stock ROM, you´ve got an older version.
Check the support of Microsoft here to install a newer version.
There might be a cab version somewhere, don´t remember where...
Or, last, but not least, most custom ROMs come with a newer version pre-installed... one of the many advantages using a custom ROM.
