XDA mini S

HI Guys,
have just picked up my new XDA mini S - traded in the XDA2s and must say it is a great and stable device.
However, having some problems locating sat nav software for it - O2 do not have any and Tom Tom state they do not support the mini s.
Only difficulty I can see is that it is running mobile 5 and has a mini SD card.
If anybody could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated
Hi,
My best advice: tomtom 5 for PDA or Destinator PDA comes in a box, with software and maps (depending on your budget, either just UK or more countries)
You will then need a good sized blank mini sd card, 512mb minimum i would say.
You will also need a bluetooth gps unit (holux/etam/tomtom etc) as wired units will not work with your new xda mini s as it runs a mini usb port.
Then you bung the cd into your pc, and sync your mini s through activesync, and install the programme via the interface to you device. It will then install maps via active sync to your mini sd card.
Activate the set up on request, Set up the gps unit, and boom job done.
If you need any help mounting your new mini s, have a look at my site, and also other bits and bobs that may be of use.
If you need any help, drop me a PM or reply.
Hope thats of use!

i700 to i760 contact/calendar transfer w/o internet or PC

Hi all,
To make a long story short, I basically need to transfer contacts and calendar from a Samsung i700 (SD Card) to a Samsung i760 (microSD I believe) and I don't have internet on the phones and the phones will not sync to my PC (lets not get into that...long story short, remember). I need only basically those 2 items from the phone.
What I have thought of is backing up the PIM on the i760 then putting it on my computer through a card reader and using an adapter take the data to the i760 and using the same backup software, restore that file.
Here's my problem though (if you agree this is my best solution), the i760 will not see the .cab file for spb backup (which I tried to install for example to do the backup). Is there a reason? Does WM2003 not see cab files or was I maybe installing a version too new for the phone? Any other ideas? I saw an XML Contact backup utility before but then it skips over my calendar. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sync Lumia photos/videos to Android Tablet. Is it possible?

Hi!
I'm asking this because I've got a trip in a week and I don't want to carry my digital camera. Instead I will carry my Lumia 800, that makes such a nice photos and videos to me, and I won't take my Zenbook, but I will take my Hp Touchpad tablet with Android.
My question is: there is a way to send photos from the Nokia Lumia to the Android tablet... without Internet?
I thought to flash a Custom ROM to my Lumia, but I have a DLOAD one, so I can only put a dev unlock on the device.
I would love to send the photos to the tablet. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for all, guys!!!

Answer is:
1. Plug in Nokia Lumia to PC (by USB).
2. Run Zune on PC and synchronized all colection (photos/videos).
3. Your media files automaticaly save in localization: My Pictures/From (name your WP7 device) ....
4. Plug in Android device to PC (by USB) and copy files.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing now, but on my trip I won't take my PC
Ok, if you have unlocked device you can try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742717 (but I think you need to send each file separately).

I can't unlock my device (only developer unlock) because I have a Lumia 800 with 2.4HW, so I have DLOAD bootloeader and it's locked
Thanks for your help, btw!
It's possible to write an app that sends photos over WiFi on a standard dev-unlocked phone, but I don't know of one. Root Webserver would probably work (start a WiFi network from either device, connect the other device to it, run the webserver on your phone and access it from your Touchpad's web browser) but it requires Root, and the non-root version doesn't have access to the pictures library.
why dont you just have your phone sync w/ windows live account (including pictures) and then have your tablet sync w/ windows live account and both will have the pictures when they automatically upload.
Oh lordy, just realized how old this thread is. Sorry about that... I need to go back to sleep.

windows 10 mobile. not windows phone. different things.
if you have a Microsoft account , like from o 365 or azure , you might be able to find the recovery key in there, unfortunately , im not quite sure on win mobile as to why you even had to encrypt , usually if you encrypt it was ask you first and then should give you a key, i know in enterprise AD has the key, so in case you've been using this smartphone for business and its in active directory you can get it back, I just purchased one of these phone for kicks , i want to see what can be done with it , i remember when the first HTC had win mobiles and they were fun , Microsoft blew it , they already had smartphones before Apple or Android , Gates was too busy chasing tail to realize what he had
