When flashing a ROM on my 8925, I get to the point where it looks like it is about to load, but it stays at 0% and goes nowhere. I tried looking for a fix, but only found the White screen of death which is different from my problem.
Please HELP!

Try flashing in bootloader.
Hold down Power button + Camera Button + insert stylus into reset.
Flash away.

Do you see the upload meter on your PC or on both PC and Phone? If only on the PC, then you might not have the HardSPL flashed or installed, which you would need to do first before you can flash to a new ROM. If you see the load meter on both screens, phone and PC and it hangs, then do what Alltheway suggested.
I tried that too. I have no problem getting to where it is about to load. It just won't load and stays at 0%.
I get 0% on both PDA and PC.

OK... Turn off your Fire wall and pause your Anti Virus program until the program loads to 100%.
Once more... Did you install the HardSPL?
Go here first if you have not installed the CID unlocker ( HardSPL)

I tried loading HardSPL. I get the same problem when trying to load HardSPL. 0% progress. I'll try stopping my antivirus to see if that fixes things. I also have an 8525 in which I'm able to flash ROMs with no problems on the same computer. I suspect it is something with my 8925.

No it is not... The Qualcom processor behaves differently than the Samsung. So the loading environment one processor accepts is not necessary a common denominator.
Disable your Firewall and your AntiVirus and start fresh. Please read the HardSPL ( CID Unlocking) procedure carefully.

OK, I deinstalled my virus protection and turned off my firewall and still I get up to the point that a ROM (even for hardSPL) is about to load and nothing happens.
I did a hard reset and it looks like it cleared the problem. I was able to flash the hardSPL...Thanks everyone!

I have the same issue.. And none of that software is even installed on this machine. I've tried the hard reset too. Still nothing. Any ideas?

0% and then i get a recovery message on my vista pc to eject my battery.

HardSPL is NOT the same as Hard Reset ! Please read the thread on Unlocking your CID.

You definitely have a Anti-Virus program that is conflicting with the install. I would try the install on another machine, then see if you get the same issue.

... lol ... Yeah, I know. I know what I'm doing. Im not a rookie. I've been flashing phones for like 2 years now. I was saying that I've even hard reset'd the phone and tried on a fresh hard reset. To no avail.
*** i got my phone up and running. i am using a very old firmware from at and t from 12/07. however, fromt this point on, any other rom that i try to use is giving me a 302 error, both official and cooked roms except for the old one. can anyone shine some insight on this? thanks.
UPDATE on current problem:
1) i tried to update to a custom rom for the first time. it had worked. i used hard spl 3.29, then installed the natf v4 rom. the rom worked fine and everything. however, it was not to my liking.
2) maybe this was my stupidest mistake because i am a newbie. i tried to install an official rom right after. when i did this, the phone was stuck on 89%, and just freezes. and now i am stuck at the tri color screen (boot screen).
3) nothing i load is working. can someone please point me in the right direction in what im suppoose to do from here. i tried the sticky thread, but i am not having any luck. i need this to work asap. please help. thanks all is aprpeciated.
when i try to install the same natf rom, i get the error 262. it doesnt even go past 0%.
when i try to install the original oem rom, it goes to 89%, and stops and gives me a 309 error.
there's plenty of stickies and other topics around that have potential solutions, try those first, post back if nothing's working.

yes ih ave tried. the phone is not workign whatsoever. it wont pass the at and t screen that show the R, G, and D numbers. i can do hard reset, that doesnt work. it just stops. im still searching all over the forum right now. but i need the right solution because i need to get this phone to work ughh im sorry if i seem like im asking to much. please any help is appreciated thanks.
i also cant plug it in through usb. after it freezes that stops too so i cant load anything to update the phone.
What version of hardspl are you flashing? Maybe your rom do not support that. try to manually go to tri color screen and see if it connect to USB or not.

i beleive it was 3.29. how do i manually go into tri color screen? note i cant go pass the first screen
i am currently trying the sd card method to boot up with the kaidiag.nbh file. its not working. nothing boots up. its still freezing at the first screen.

thanks. i jsut tried that. it booted up and isntalled update. it went to the tri color screen, then to the white loading screen, and now im stuck again...
ok it got pass the white loading screen. now im stuck at the good ol tri color screen. anything i was trying to load fromthis point foward is not working. evrtygyhing either is stuck on 0% or it jsut gives me an error to go to recovery mode. please help. i jsut want to revert bck to the oem rom if possible. i just need my phone up and running.
i am getting the error RUU 302. where would i go about this to do it from scratch? as i mentioned i so far have 3.29 hardspl installed

Have you tried booting into recovery mode and flashing the RC29 NBH? How did you manage to get it to this state?

Follow the instructions for downgrading from RC30/RC8 or higher. After your phone is reset, it will be on RC29 (or RC7 if you have UK phone) with all previous data wiped.
But i don't know latest RC in my G1.....

It doesn't matter what the latest RC in your phone is. Just follow the instructions for downgrading from RC30/RC7 and your phone will be RC29 (they will actually work for any RC) and hopefully recovered.

It could be a hardware failure if you didn't make any software changes and the device died.
I actually had the same issue with my first G1, went to bed and everything was fine, when i woke up the phone was dead, would not turn on, only blue blinking led on top, tried another battery and nothing. wasn't even rooted. I ended up sending it back to tmo for a new one.
Yeah, if you're getting no response from anything it sounds like a hardware issue. Send it in for a replacement.

My HTC touch diamond is doing strange, one day I woke up and suddenly it gave me a Red,Green,Blue,White screen. As I understood it's called bootlloader or something like that.
I tried reset+volumebutton after that it is starting normal and Ive got my phone back, but if I turn my phone back off its gaving me the terrible Red, Green, Blue, White screen back.
Ive tried to do a hard reset ( reset button + volume + round button) but then I have to press the volume button again to accept, but it isnt doing anything then.
Ive looked for some solutions but everything is chinese for me.
I just want my phone back to normal and I hope I dont have to loose all my files.
Can anyone help ?

Well, if possible, Backup all of your Data using either SPB Backup or Microsoft MyPhone, and reflash a new ROM.
This is what most users will tell you to do.
I think once a device encounters the Bootloader Infinite Loop issue, the only solution is to Flash a New ROM.
and how can I do that ? I am really a dummie at this point.
But it still works only if I put it back on I see the bootloader again.

at first i've to apologize for my "bad" english (it isn't that bad though, but sometimes my grammar isn't right xD)
so, days ago, my hd2 with typhoon gingerbread, was working very good, but
then 3 days ago on my way home my, hd2 freezed.
i thought "well ok, then i just have to pull the batterie out, and put it in again..."
nothing happened, it always freezed at the android-bootlogo....
after couple reboots, it booted into "safe mode", which i've never seen before, but i wasn't able to do anything so it restarted itself.
back home, i tried to delete my nand, via original hd2 rom from htc-website,
but i wasn't able to enter the bootloader (screen with those colors)...
i also tried just to flash another android version, but they also freeze in the android-bootlogo...
so my last chance was WindowsPhone7...for some reason, it works -.-
but i dont want windows on my hd2, want my android back :/
can anyone help me?

In order to enter the bootloader (screen with those colors), you need to have hardSPL installed. Do you have it installed? If not, then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939682. Read step "A" and follow steps and/or additional steps if necessary. Hope this helps.
well there starts my problem, even when i press Vol.Down + PowerButton, the bootloader won't start -.-
well without hspl, i wouldn't be able to install magldr 1.13
right now i'm using windows phone 7 on my hd2, but it drains my batterie in 2 hours -.-

Oh，it's this.I'm not proficient in English.I'm a chinese people.
In my idea.Wm7 and andriod is two different system.But，them are building on specially partition.Now，it looks like the andriod partition error.You can try to rebuilding a new partiton for your phone.And rebuilding the new system.
