I found this great program. Save contacts they way YOU want.This can be done easily with BAF List As Editor.I know there are more of these kinda programs but this is a great one.
Download location
"BAF List As editor allows you to manually change and override the "List As" property for any contact. The built in contacts manager only allows you two choices for how to list a given person in your contacts, but BAF List As Editor allows you to specify whatever you would like!

"An example of where this would be useful could be your mother. You can list her full first and last name (instead of just "Mom"), then use this app to list her as "Mom."
Thanks for sharing!

HI friends. I made an android app named Test Hub. The app is pretty simple. You can practice or test HTML tags with it. It uses your phone's Webkit engine and result is displayed as you type.
I've also included a input method meant for web development. To activate the input method, go to "Settings > Language & Keyboard" and check the box next to "Test Hub". Now when in a text box, long touch the screen and choose "Input Method". Now choose "Test Hub" and now you can use the input method. The most used keys are easily accessible.

I have just released a new application, "Shopping list", for android. I will be glad to see your comments on it!
market.android.com/details?id=ru.grocerylist.android
This application is a useful and simple shopping list for your phone.
Do you often make shopping lists? If you do, this app made exactly for you!
This is useful and simple way of making out a shopping list on your phone. You can input items from keyboard, add from database, filled by you, by barcode scanning and even using your voice! Also, you can mark out important purchases in the list. You just have to tap an item to mark it as "bought".
We hope that this app will expand your phone and make your shopping easier.

Hello everyone !
Here is an android tool to save your SMSes conversations into text file(s).
Today, there are a lot of instant messaging applications who have this kind of features, but I just want to share a very simple extraction tool.
I made this app to save your messages into a simple text file and you can copy the files into your hard disc or USB key.
SMS2Text gives you the possibility to choose what conversations you want to extract, the file structure, date format, chronological order etc...
This app is available in English and in French.

Study Helper is a flashcards based app and it focuses more on sharing and user interface.
You can
1. import question database from csv file
2. share question database via whatsapp or via standard android share menu
3. backup to Dropbox
4. use for storing long lists of data eg. translations of foreign language, commonly used coding patterns, disease and their etiology. the possibilites are endless.
Check it out on Play store :

Hello, I am new here and I would want to start creating some simple android applications. The first task I have to do is to create an app like that:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
where for each of those persons (that are taken from a database), a new small window or a dropdown box should be opened (under the name) with the person's photo, e-mail, phone number, etc.
Also, the list with the names should be automatically sorted in alphabetical order and the users should be allowed to search for a specific person, by typing his/her name.
Could you tell me how I should begin? Which are the first steps? Or could I find a tutorial that could teach me how to build some similar application?
