Hi, i use the program "OS Remind Me"
If you got any programs like this, that reminds you on missed calls and sms with a sound or vibration so please tell me
The Problem with OS Remind Me ist that it must be startet manual after restart the ppc. (LGKS20 with wm kiss20 firmware)
So i want that the program start automatic, i put the data file from os remind me in the startup file, but it doesnt work.
hope you got an idea and i would prefer freeware
sorry for the bad english

Hi thanks for the answer.
The missed call reminder 1.3 gives no vibration, set the LED vibration on 3, test vibration runs but if it should remind me, just the sound works.
ReReminder gives also just a sound and no vibration, also there is no option to choose vibration.
But both Programs start in Startup, thats good.
Do you think i did somethink wrong ? cant find a misstake..
just a combination with startup with wm6 and OSRemindMe would be perfekt.
what can i try now
I don't use these type of applications so I wouldn't know. If you only want to have OSRemindMe load at start up you can create a shortcut for it using Resco Explorer and copy the shortcut to /windows/startup
the other applications.. unless they have "vibrate" as an options... don't have a vibrate option

I saw this registry tweak:
http://www.mdatweak.com/tweak_detail.php?tweak=14
that adds vibration to buttons of the dial pad
However I tried it in WM6 and it doesn;t work anymore. Does anybody know how to get it working in WM6?
I used the attached cab and got it working in WM6.
It looks like it makes the same changes as on that website, only automatically.
One thing I noticed, which might help or might not, was that it didn't seem to vibrate when I had "Keypad" under Phone Settings set to "Off".
Try setting it to "Short tones" and see if it works.
Oh, and you've reset your phone after making the registry tweaks, right?
yep, that was it. my device (htc herald wm6) was set to no sounds.
I found that it does not always vibrate. Sort of as if the vibrate motor has to start up. It worked best if the settings were set to long tones.
But I'm not using it anymore. in practice it is not as handy as I though it would be
vibrating keypad
hi guys. i downloaded the above attached file to my tytn 11 (orange). i find it does not work well (due to the time lag in the vibrating winding-up process) - and wish to delete it (it is actually quite annoying) and regain the normal keypad tone. i have gone into 'settings' 'remove programmes' and see no item listed. I have gone into 'file explorer' and delete the file name - to no effect. have i done the wrong thing? can anyone help me, please?

I am currently using the most awesome Dr. Gonzo WM6.1 ROM, however my phone seems to have developed a slightly annoying quirk over the last day or so. Every few minutes, it vibrates (two short, two long ..--), as if there is a missed call or waiting message (as I see this is a new feature added by Dr. Gonzo). However, I have scoured my phone and there is no waiting notification of any kind and there is nothing running in the task manager either.
The only plugins I have installed are showaco's FeatherWeather plugin and tlogix's CHome Configurator. Both of which I had been using for a while before this vibration issue started.
By changing the interval of the vibrations (through the menu/System/Config Notification), I can see that it is indeed this script that is causing trouble. Disabling and then re-enabling it doesn't seem to help, nor does switching the phone off. I really like this script (when it functions correctly), so I would rather not just disable it completely.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I would really like to hear them.
Thanks
I've had the same problem before.. the script reads a registry value.
use a registry editor (there should be one one the phone somewhere as its a Dr G ROM).
Goto HKLM\System\State\Shell and look for a key called "Notify", select it and set it to 0. That should stop it.. You might have to reboot the phone.
It worked for me..
Google for PHM RegEdit its free software
hi,everyone.
i use wm5 ppc phone.
when a new SMS comes,my phone wakes up.
but i cannot hear the notify sound every time.whether or not i hear sound,my ppc will wake up,screen lights up,etc.this takes much battery energy.
now,i want my ppc not to wake up,nor lightup the screen,etc---only plays the notify sound, just how "ms exchange pushmail" does.(my ppc recives both sms & pushmails.when a pushmail comes,my ppc only plays the notify sound, without waking my ppc up,nor lightup screen, etc)
i hope you provide me the way.thx.
nobody here?
that feature does exist in my HD. You can try HD tweak programs to enable that feature..but i don't know if that program support ur device.
Hope it works...
I think that all u have 2 do is go to sounds and notifications, then go to notifications tab and choose the "Messaging:new text message" option from the scroll down menu.
Over there u can disable the flash light or vibration.
Hope that helps
Hi guys!
I own a Touch 3g (Jade). After the last (and first) Hard Reset my phone doesnt play a sound or vibrate when an sms arrives.
after the hard reset it worked without problems. I already checked the windows settings, a sound is activated. As well i activated the LED and a notification bubble. Those work without problems.
I've already been searching the registry and found the values wich calibrate the sms notification, but they where correct (ive read a post in this forum about that topic as well).
has anybody an idea of how to make my phone ring and vibrate again when sms arrive?
I would rehardreset it had times when that was necessary
is there no other option? i really dont want to reconfigure everything again

You don't need to hard reset, because if you do you're just gonna install the previous programs that corrupted your settings for SMS sound notifications.
That's all you need to know really. Everything else is just trial and error from there.
i've solved the issuie via installing smiley sms
thx alot for ur help
just go into your sound/alert settings, and pick a new sound or set it to vibrate. (is this not common sense?) it is built into windows mobile. i cannot believe you installed a 3rd part application that will just slow your phone down more, when the fix is just a settings change
didnt work, as i wrote i checked those settings, tried to change the sounds and even searched the registry....
but its a good solution, now i got smilies in my sms too
cheers
Hi guys, I tried some experiments with skype and Mort Skript.
So I created this modded version:
rapidshare.com/files/366681199/SkypeMobile_Modded_by_SammyBlaze_v1.1.CAB
udate: mortskript short cut added for first start to start menu
Skype switches now automatically between earphone and speakerphone by simply using Mortscript and Troca2:
Everytime skype is in focus troca2 will be executed so the sound is directed to earphone.
Install on Device.
After installation please reboot and run "RunMeFirstThenDeleteMe" first from Start Menu.
Now you can delete "RunMeFirstThenDeleteMe" (file explorer - my device - windows - startmenu -programs)
I recommend to uninstall your old skype first.
please report your bugs and advice here.
I am trying to integrate Hd2ProximityScreenOff so the screen turns off when you do a call.
awesome! testing this tonight!
Tried it, but unfortunately it does not even run on my Stock ROM Telstra HD2 in Oz.
Sounds nice, but you could say it needs to be installed in internal memory, that this installs and uses Mortscript, and that it's needed to run Mortscript.exe in \Program files\Mortscript to associate the extensions before the shortcut will run. Took me 15 minutes of tracking down what the shortcut was pointing to, opening the file in question to find leads as to how to etc to finally randomly run the Mortscript exe to make it run. Most people don't know/use Mortscript.
Anyway, it seems to work. But there again some explanations from your part would have been nice... at first it wasn't working, and I had to read the script to understand what it did to do correctly. So, it seems it opens an exe that switches output to front speaker whenever the Skype window is in focus. But as I turn screen off when talking (otherwise with screen on I keep pressing on hangup or other stuff when I put the phone at the ear as proximity sensor is not active), and this brings up S2U2, the Skype window wouldn't be in focus anymore, so audio switches back to rear speaker. Also, tapping anywhere in the Skype window during a call makes the little 6-icon popup appear, which the script interprets as Skype losing focus, and audio also switches. Same when adjusting volume, the volume window switches audio. Would be nice to have a simple way to find out a few window names and add them to the script.
Deactivating "lock when screen is blank" in S2U2 seems to make it useable, as long as you have a hardware key assigned to "Turn screen off" and use it.
Also for some reason, everytime I press the power key when Skype is in focus, the device comes back on.

Read my post above. Run \Program files\Mortscript\Mortscript.exe once first.
Made an update
look at first post.
I will try to implement Hd2ProximityScreenOff-0.2 but:
This would trigger the device lock
...this would cause lag in skype
Ok I could deaktivate device lock and then use hd2ProximityScreenOff
It works, thanks ^^
thanks summybussy ..i managed to install. it works fine. but screen is on when i make call....?
So now I understand why it did not work. I will continue to use Audio Route and/or my headphones. But thanks for the efforts. Not something I would even think of doing...
Skype soundswitch and turn display off

Unfortunately the screen remains on during calls.
I use ProximityScreenOff for that in combination with DisableAutoDeviceLock

With AeButtonPlus I mapped windows button (double tab) for device lock.

I have the same problem. Big issue.
It is because mort script run all the time and checks wether skype is active.
With the attached skypecode.mscr it will check only every 5 seconds wether skype is on focus.
replace it with the file in windows folder.
Skype uses a lot of battery on its own, even without Mortscript. Really not optimized at all, firstly it will prevent the device for entering standby as long as it's running, and secondly it uses a lot of CPU even when it has nothing to do.
i got it to work perfect on the 1st try...my only concern is, when someone calls, it rings iin the earpiece as well...can this be fixed?
