I have seen the H build keyboard being able to be installed on G builds, but I am looking for the H build video camera to put on the G build. That was the biggest addition that the H has that the G does not. I know the G has video capabilities, but not a zoom function, right? That is the part that I want. Is this possible?

I was wondering how is camera shoots quality on Moto G after installing Cyanogenmod 11.
I'm interested to see if camera quality is better respect to Moto G with stock 4.4.4 firmware, as reported in forums.motorola.com/posts/e2f2722bfc

It depends on the camera app you are using...cm uses the stock aosp camera which, as the world knows, sucks! I am on cm11 and I flashed the pa gapps which replaces the aosp camera with the google camera which works perfectly well...very good quality and colour reproduction

Can someone help me - I want to film in slow motion on my moto g (using cm12.1). I hav tried to flash original motorola camera but the slowmotion doesn't work.
So does anybody know a camera app in which I can film in slow motion ??

Alex Dobbie posted screenshots from the Moto X Play.. with 'GPU Profile Rendering' enabled in Developer settings..
basically shows you the time it takes to render a frame, process and display it. The aim is to be under the 16.66ms line (60fps), but the MotoX Play shoots waay over during normal usage... means it stutters and frame rates drop below 30fps.
Does the MotoG have the same problem? Can anyone post screenshots?

I was looking how to get 120 fps video recording on custom rom and I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/themes-apps/moto-camera-slowmo-t3231608 All you have to do is to flash zip form this thread and install any Moto camera app (for example that one http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/themes-apps/app-camera-galery-t3216944 ). If you have issues try to delete camera's data. I tested it with aosp running squid kernel and everything works fine :good:

Camera records video but it has normal speed, not slowmotion so it's not working
btw THERE IS ONE SMALL BUG
This mod is from moto g which has 2mpx (or 1,3 i dunno) front facing camera so phone thinks you can record 720p videos so front camera can't reocrd videos with this mod anymore but it can still take fotos. You can easly modify this file if you have root fix it.

I have been trying lots of camera apps but all of then kind of suck, what do you guys recommend?
i recommend (and use) both the motorola camera and OpenCamera.
Cyanogen snap camera and for selfies youcamperfect works for me
Just try ported camera from meizu OS. its so fast, best camera so far on Moto G.. search on themes & apps section as "better camera for MOTO G"
