BT PAN IP Address - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

Hello,
maybe I can't see a tree in the forrest, but where can I setup an IP address for the smartphones BT PAN network? It will get the 192.168.0.1 if internet connection sharing is enabled, but I only want network access to/from my q9h.
Thanks in advance

Specifying DNS Servers for WiFi Connection

Hi Folks,
I have set up my wife's SPV E650 to hook up to our wireless network at home so she can connect to the internet through the home wireless network. We have static IP's on our LAN. Although I have specified a static IP for the E650's wireless connection, I cannot find out where I specify the DNS servers to allow her to connect to the internet via our ISP, (I know the DNS server IPs, I just can't find out where I enter that info on the E650). So at the moment, I can connect to the home network, but cannot get onto t'internet!
It is quite likely that I am being a spaz and am missing something obvious... regardless, if you can help me, let me know!
Cheers
MW
even if you have a static IP you should not have to specify a static DNS because your default gateway should be your router IP address and your router should automatically give the DNS servers to any device that pulls that ip address

Thanks for your response.
All the other devices on my home network (laptop, PC, Xbox 360, SPV M3100) ask for the DNS server to be specified in a static IP environment, and they all connect to the internet just fine through the wireless network.
I am sure you are right, but I know that none of the above mentioned devices connect to the internet without the DNS servers specified.
So, question remains, how do I specify the DNS servers on the E650? Maybe a registry entry?
@mortalwombat,
i have the same problem with my htc s710.
Even though I run the wireless network with static IPs, I set my HTC S710 to get the IP "from a server" (= dynamic IP setting).
I did this after I tried with an IP Adress within my IP Adress Range.
So what happened is that my S710 somehow gets an IP Adress from my router that is almost in my regular IP Range.
You can try to set an static IP Adress within your Range first and then switch to dynamic IP Adress on you device..

How to get a real IP in my notebook?

I access internet via Internet sharing with my Polaris USB connection
I found my notebook would get a NAT ip (192.168.xxxx)
How can I do to get a real IP?
http://www.whatismyip.org/
I mean I want my notebook to get the real IP not NAT
your laptop have 1 ip for each nic wifi and wired and firewire and bluetooth nic
connected and then it have the loopback adaptor
in a console on your laptop you can type ipconfig and have them listed
Sorry my poor English
All I need is to access my notebook's web site by my friends
so I want a real IP to tell my friend
I can browse other web site by using Internet sharing
but my friend can not browse my web site if I use my Polaris to the Internet
I found there was some HTC USB modem driver to use.
but it seems no use on the Polaris
You have a web-server active on your notebook and it is connected in lan at your home, and you want to view this website from internet when you are in your friend's home: it's right?
If I've understand, you must point at the public IP address of your home's internet access (you can find it in site like http://www.whatismyip.org/), but before this, you must forward the port 80 in your router to the private address of your notebook.
Hoping that he was quite clear...
P.S.: Also my English is not the greatest ...

It was my understanding that with Internet Sharing on WM6, clients are placed into a DMZ and all incoming connections will go to the client.
That means that your web / ftp / etc server should work fine.
However, if your mobile provider makes you use a proxy to access the internet, then incoming connections are not possible.
I'm going to bet that this is what is happening to you, and there is nothing you can do to solve this problem.

This is a wrong thread for this topic, it has nothing to do with Sensation......anyway, I'll share with you my own experience, hope it helps.....
I'm using a Dlink (ADSL modem router) and a Cisco WiFi router, the connection is like:
Internet -> Dlink -> Cisco -> (pc, phone, tablet, nds, etc)
Setup for Dlink:
IP : 192.168.1.1
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
DHCP is enabled
IP range : 192.168.1.3 ~ 254
Connected to internet via PPPoE/PPPoA
Setup for Cisco:
IP : 192.168.1.2
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
DHCP is disabled
Take note that the connection between Dlink & Cisco is LAN port to LAN port, the internet port on Cisco is not used. This way, no matter you're connecting to Dlink or Cisco you'll get an IP in the same subnet (192.168.1.3 ~ 254) which is assigned by Dlink.
I'm no expert in networking, this is what I get after consulting a couple of experts and I just follow exactly. In my situation, things work perfectly that I can see the whole network neighborhood, share folders/files, share printer, etc.
i cant use the same subnet because my belkin router cant work if i do so ... must other solution?

B593S-22 Huawey Router - Remote Management Issue

Good Morning Folks. After a long and unsuccessful internet search I ask, for you expert assistence, if there is a way to remotely control the B593S-22 Huawey Router. I've only managed it via ddns only if I was connected to the same wifi network (FIY I have a public IP). I learned from various researches that some internet providers, a long time ago, provided a script (vivaupdater.exe) that enabled the port 8080 assigning it to the router's IP address (in native port forwarding it is impossible to set it) but I did not find anything more in Internet. Thanks in advance and I hope you can help me.
