Are these not listed in Start --> Settings --> System Tab --> Today --> Items Tab ???
If so you can just untick them, no need to rename??

ActiveSync Backup Directory

19.04.:
moved this to a different subforum
2 hours later
--------------
I think I need to rephrase the question as some more digging has established that ActiveSync indeed does not allow you to change the location for the backup directory.
The question then is:
What is the consensus for the best 3rd party SW? Some posts on the net were recommending Easy Sync; any comments?
Thanks again
-------------------------------------------------
Hello here !
I wonder if I am missing something but the SW won't allow me to change the location on the desktop of the backup directory for file synchronization.
That is, I can change it through the Registry, but only within "My Documents".
Does this mean I have to switch off the sync for "Files" and do it manually?
Thanks for your help

[REQ] Save WLan Settings

Hi all,
is there a possibility to BackUp my WLan Settings from the manila standart Comm Manager? I don't want to insert those 32 number long WPA key each time I install a new ROM. But I don't know where WinMo 6.5 stores the keys (I think in Registry but didn't find a usefull string) or does it store them as encrypted Data in a windows folder??
I think it would be much easier to BackUp them once and restore the files/reg into my costom ROM
thanks,
the_b00gyman.

PC tool to expord HD2 registry in XML

in old good times when i had Touch HD somwhere on XDA (not in HD thereads) i found a PC software that was able to connect to PDA (probaly via activesync i guess) and read the registry.
than it was possible to export selected portions of the registry to PC in XML format. that was useful to automate resotre of certain settings like WiFi, connections and email accounts after hard reset or rom flash
now i lost the software and can not nither recall the name nor find it in the forum.
if you came accross one - please let me know where i can find it again.
many thanks!
philip
i use soft CeRegEditor
cheer!
