I have the G build (hated the H too) and I'm getting market access. But it's really strange, I'll click to download and nothing happens, but hours later I'll notice the apps downloaded. Doesn't seem to be able to download over wi-fi either.
Besides that, I am really loving the build.
If it's any help, I noticed that Market wasn't downloading any apps when I was on RC33, and then realized that for some reason, I was logged out of GoogleTalk. Logged back in, and fired up the downloads again, and it worked. No idea why -- are these apps related? Does Market rely on GoogleTalk to authenticate?
I have 5.0.1gr3 version installed on my phone. And I have Bluetooth prublem. It connects but it dus not work it shows that it using bluetooth. But in reality it using normal spiker. And I have markert prublem. I know it on going issue and I hope it will be resolved soon.
Does anybody found a solution for the market downloading?

2) Downgrade via Wipe + custom image + JF RC33. Search for RC29 -> JF RC30 with Root method.

So let me get this straight: Orange have given you a prototype phone, which means they assume you are capable enough as an engineer on how to test it, yet you can't work out how to wipe and flash.
Further, you can't spend five minutes to search and discover the g1 cupcake builds that the xda community have been working on. Well my friend, good luck to you.
For the record, many of use are using 'prototype' G1s here too - its called custom boot images. Unfortunately we don't have a funky cool signature of a company that was beaten out of the Australian telco market. Probably for the best though because if we did, I would be worried that fellow engineers might be losing their jobs by breaking non-disclosure agreements.

Brutal but true. A lot of really talented people got laid off from my work that can figure out how to flash a device... its called reading the requirements my friend.
I'm not the only people who have this version all over the world.
So, i'm not interresting in the version 1.5 because mine is a beta one.
I'm looking for a stable and an working version, that's all.

You came for help from all of the talented developers here, who have worked so hard to make our phones great, expecting to use their stuff, but you won't share your version with them?
Just because one person who is a new member trolled you, it doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same way. The guys who did all of this work, freely shared it with anyone who wanted to try their versions, and never asked anything in return. I really wish I had the knowledge to give something back. If I had a phone with 1.5 on it, I definitely would let them see it.

Do you remember that whole topic about the Ophone that dissaperd?, well i've got hold of the sdk and im going to start porting it for personal use and see if i can even get an ophone g1 crossbreed with some rogers and ion and A2SD as i use it alot ,
The only reason im posting this is if any of you guys want to recive updates or help me with some things untill its at a stable point in which i will release to the public
Any ideas and help on this would be very apreciated as im not 100% positive on how this whole thing works, but im gonna give it my 200% and dedicate my .02 to the community
I hope u guys will enjoy what the future has in store
(and btw, no i dont want donations on this one.. If its something im doing for my self i dont see why i would have to have donations?:S)

(social life, sorry guys i have one.. :L) Ill post my results and how far im done later tonight.. hopefully it will be done sometime in the next few days (dont flame but ill release a taster 1st, a video of me showing it working on my phone when i get it working, then ill give out a few beta testers just to look for bugs, right now however its just a home project untill i get some work on getting it runnning on g1

Quick status update.. Im Guessing this is harder than i imagined, if anyone could give me a pointer to how to make a system.img from sdk i would appreciate it, then it would be done no maps or market yet, but once i have the system.img on my g1 i can see what files need placing on or modifying to put google apps on, im sure its not impossible, im lucking forward to getting this workin.. the g1s capable of running this.. the only thing worrying me is that im guessing its gonna need the new SPL seeing as its apps are bigger than hero.. Anyway, Promise by tomorro i will have figured out how to make a system.img and ill post it up on here

Ok cool. I actually have the boot.gif from Ophone and i have been trying to get it to work on a rodgers rom but i keep getting boot loops...maybe you want to start by changing the boot.gif maybe to the htc one

My hdd has gone on me just now! arrrgh (Posting from dads laptop, sadly it runs winblows )!, One thing i did notice however is that its a very big OS, the whole thing is bigger than Hero, so maybe taking out some of the Chinese widgets like the one on the 1st page which i have no idea what it does but im shure that takes up alot of space so.. And dont replace it with hero one.. Thats still rather big, get the image working 1st before trying to PIMP it out

I think you should just start out with the regular ROM thread format.
List which hero dump each of your ROM's are based on, what works, what doesn't. What is required. Anything you've added in, what you've taken out. Recommendations on swap if it's supported etc. Link or no link, it's a start.
Maybe you'd like to name your roms, or something and change the thread title as well

Second the above statement. The only hero rom I have used to date with working bluetooth for 32B devices is the one in my signature. It is by no means the fastest but it is stable enough with working bluetooth.
Tmack23 should have the ROM's posted within an hour.

no hard feelings man.....but on there blog Rikard does not state that its finished...he clearly states according to his new blog that this isn't the final release but we are really close to releasing the final candidates into external and operator testing and approval. Which was posted on Oct 14th...which is why I believe all that wont get done in time for there end of Oct release. But yeah, your right, SE cannot afford to delay it again. My post may not help the OP, but I was just commenting on your comment.

Looking through the Post Your Home Screen in the Android section, I'm not sure they are much bigger are they?
yeah they are like 1, 2mm bigger compared to ours. check the new android 2.1 video from the se blog, ull see what im talking about . or go to market check out apps with screenshots and ull see the default bar is larger

I saw interloper posted his CM10, so I figured I should get in on the fun and post my CM9 work.
Now this is ALPHA so there are a lot of things broken. I haven't really had time to test all the things broken, but here's the short list:
Radios (all - cell, wifi, bt)
Cam
Probably accelerometer
So obviously this is NOT going to be your daily driver. This is just a preview of what is to come!
Also, if anyone has any ideas on how I can improve, please let me know! A lot of people have helped get this booting - Shabbypenguin started the ball rolling, interloper has helped with tips, and a slew of others that don't even have a Photon Q have helped me understand how to get this up and running. Of course Cyanogen for the awesome community, and Google for being the grandfather of this madness.
So it boots, but very little will work. Touch works, and any apps that don't use the above hardware should work as well. Without wifi or cell radios, the build is kinda useless - I realize this. But, I'm hoping maybe it'll attract some more developer attention - thanks!!!

So obviously this is NOT going to be your daily driver. This is just a preview of what is to come!
Also, if anyone has any ideas on how I can improve, please let me know! A lot of people have helped get this booting - Shabbypenguin started the ball rolling, interloper has helped with tips, and a slew of others that don't even have a Photon Q have helped me understand how to get this up and running. Of course Cyanogen for the awesome community, and Google for being the grandfather of this madness.
So it boots, but very little will work. Touch works, and any apps that don't use the above hardware should work as well. Without wifi or cell radios, the build is kinda useless - I realize this. But, I'm hoping maybe it'll attract some more developer attention - thanks!!!

Alright, I think I have the cell radio working... Just ironing out the kinks now. Should have data et al up soon

Just wandering what the current status is. Have you had anymore updates.
arrrghhh is at a loss here. He got this ting booting but doesn't know how to get things fixed. As time permits the OUDHITSQUAD will do what we can to keep working on it. No new updates right now however.

I could *try* and help, but my knowledge is pretty limited. I did some work on the Droid 3 from roughly a year ago up until this past March/April, so I'm not completely hopeless. But I'll try and help any way I can.

It's... not. I don't know where to go with it to be honest. It boots, the thing looks great... but very little actually works.
I really need some help with it, and no one wants to help with moto trash - trust me, I've asked in many rooms. Everyone groans when I mention moto...

Hmmm well i had the electrify/photon before this one. The big developers that were working on it were cybik,th3bill and jokersax. Have you tried asking them for advice. Th3bill seems quite friendly. Jokersax i think is still out with rl issues atm... not sure though.

This is my first Motorola device, and actually my first Android device... Most of the devs I know don't know moto...
Do you know where they hang out on IRC? I don't think I've seen any of those guys in cm-dev...

Has anyone asked hashcode if he's looked at this phone at all? I know that he's the king of moto roms, and this thing has an unlocked bootloader so it should be alot easier than other phones. Maybe start up a donation thread to get him a device to work on?
