it's in my sig too
how can i make these into CAB files?
Excuse what may be a daft question but:
Can these be copied over to the device and placed in a folder other that the Windows folder?
The reason I ask is that when trying all the various Touch components it slows accessing my Windows folder down dramatically. (Also slows the device down generally)
There are no ROMS that include these different components for the Charmer.
cheers
im so sorry for bothering but can someone make these files into a cab PLEASE!!

Matt,
I have successfully installed the new Home plugin using the theloon 4.1 beta, however I can't get the new comm manager to install at all. Any ideas on what I need to do? I don't have touchflo enabled, in case that matters.
I took a quick look at the rgu file - it is very different from the one in the 8B touchflo version. It's also about 140k larger. It doesn't look like it's the correct file.
I don’t know why but I can’t enable the Favorites People tab. There is a registry entry or something else to make this work?
Thanks
Hi, I'm running XDA Mobile 6 Release 2a on my Wizard. Is there a chance to get HTC Home Plugin and TouchFLO installed afterwards?
NBD Rom and Wizard retouched doesnt run proper on my device.
t.i.a.
Jacco
tried that combination but my device became sluggish, went back to nbd 7.9, its faster if you want touch files in the rom
[edited]
Can you tell where you downloaded the files for home plug in and touchflo?

It is possible to pick up the files from the ROM's OEM folders and make a .cab out of them. However, people have found touchflo very sluggish if installed afterwards. You can look at mattk_r's last kitchen (one of the sticky threads) if you want OEM folders for touchflo and htc home.

I'm so confused guys! I downloaded this ROM and am trying to get it installed on my phone. Can someone please give me a complete walkthrough on how to do this? Like step by step, everything I need to download, etc.?
I searched Google/these forums and didn't really find exact instructions. Is this the best ROM? Thanks in advance!
You have to install Hard-SPL first to be able to install this ROM.
Follow the instructions given here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334100
And then you can flash the 6.1 ROM using the SD card method.
Follow the instructions given here:

Awesome, now running 6.1 on my Treo . Which 6.1 ROM do you guys think is the best? I used the one that I linked to in my first post which i found on these forums.
Also I dont need to flash the radio or anything do I? All I did in that Hard SPL thing was just the Hard SPL, not the radio unlocker and all that (what is that anyways?).
Also what's the deal with the SMS style in the WM6.1 cooked ROM? Font is huge lol. Everything else seems cool though.
Ok, so I didn't like that this ROM was missing SMS, battery, etc. so I updated to the other ROM listed on this forum that is basically a vanilla windows mobile 6. I love it, so fast and everything.
Which radio do you guys think is best/most stable/best service? I'm pretty sure I'm on 1.54.07 or something like that (I'll check once my Treo is done rebooting).
My TREO after flash to WM6.1 view in about FW 1.12c.00..... its O.K or No?

hi Cameron,
what's the link for that Treo 750 WM6 update to WM6.1 ?
I'm using Telstra plan.
Hi guys,
If you want to make your own Rom for your i617, just follow these steps:
1. Get these runtimes and install on your PC (Windows XP): vcredist_x86.exe and NetCF 2.0
2. Get the the kitchen: [SamSung i617] kitchen, then extract to any where you want.
3. Get the original AT&T WM6.1 for i617 (only OS part), then put into BaseBin folder in the kitchen: The original Rom AT&T WM6.1 for i617 only OS file (pda.bin)
4. Now let you start to make the kitchen work:
- Run Dump [pda.bin].cmd then wait to complete.
- Get the file: initflashfiles.dat, then put into OEM\OEM_Lang_0409
Done. Now you can cook anything you like, after cooking, just run Build [pda.bin].cmd to rebuild the new Rom (in RomUpdate folder).
There is a guide to update Rom in the Attatchment.
But note that:
- Maybe some of PCs have some problems (cause virus or any reason), it can't show full hidden files. Just install fresh Windows XP again to fix it.
- To port the newer version of build, let you have to learn Here
And the last, I did sell my SamSung i617 to change a new toy
Sorry for my bad English.
Good luck.
Thanks for the kitchen, downloading now
Update clean Rom. See attachment at post #1.

More:
I did try with i600.
My kitchen work fine with samsung i600 .
Nhathoa,
Can you upload your i600 WM6.1 image somewhere? I tried to cook it but didn't work (yet). It would really mean a lot if you can upload a working rom.
Thanks!

Exactlly. The g'reloc.exe can't relocate resover module, but if you skip g'reloc and edit some module, device not boot. Thanks for your report.
More: Did you port build 20282 from ROSE? I did port full XIP and SYS, Free Ram on boot is 83Mb, but low speed, not smooth.
resover is not needed..
porting htc sys should be ok.. but its too much trouble if you want a perfect stable rom
Does anyone upgrade my clean Rom? Is there something wrong?
Hi!i dont understand how i can install the rom on a i600..how can i cook a rom for my i600??"BaseBin\pda.bin" where i can find it?
I CANT BRING THE GPS WORK WITH UR CLEAN ROM,ROLL BACK 2 ORIGIN NOW..
THX FOR UR TOOLS, HOPE FOR UR NEW ROM NOW.
I have tried the kitchen, and dump is ok.But it makes some errors when building . I tried to only run buildos, but failed!
It seems that an older version could run correctly, which I used in a X51v kitchen. So does it need some other files? like .net 3.0 or 3.5. I just installed a 2.0 version

What error did you get?
Hey there guys,
I just purchased an ASus M930.Spent many nights looking for Cooked ROMs and registry hacks for it.But couldnt find any.Any of you guys own one or anyone interested in cooking ROMs for it?If there are people interested, drop me a mail and I can provide you with the stock ROM and help out.
are there anyone have Firmware for M930?
or WM6.1 for this smartphone?
the official rom is in the new Asus' .ABI encoded format
you need to find a way to decode it first
I have the FUU software for the Asus M930.
Erofich,
Please let me know if it is possible to decode the .ABI format, and what can i do to work on it.Any ideas?do let me know.
Thank you
The FUU utility similar to the HTC RUU.
I would really appreciate it if someone could at least point me to the right direction and i can do the work.
I see there is a 6.1 upgrade on Asus' site supposedly for India/Asia models only. Can this be applied to any M930 or does it need hacking to work?
the update is only for India, Indonesia etc...
I am looking to WM 6.1 update

-ive used the rom but there are several bugs related to wifi.
-secondly u cant edit the sliding panels or titanium on on this rom.
-the default file manager is resco, ( no windows file manager )
-windows media player replaced with coreplayer and imo coreplayer sucks @ managing music (pocket player is better imo) albeit the nice video playing features
-menu looks nice ( the right softkey menu )
-basically thats it.
-and there is no office mobile (you can install it)
-if ur not afraid to flash roms go ahead and flash it (make sure u have the backup original rom in case anything goes wrong)
and if u want to install the wm6.1 rom instead u need to fiddle with the registry.
hope that helps
There is an WM 6.1 update on the official cupport site, simply download ist and insert ur language code with ResHacker... Did this yesterday... The update wasn't workin with Win7, used XP -> Success!
Try it. The positive point is that it's official

Can you please be kind to post the procedure? Tried to change the firmware & registry in the phone but no use.
My ROM is 4.3.2 EU1. What's the region of my phone? Can't find even an official 6.0 firmware for this.
Also when I try to update to 6.1, it doesn't say any language problem. Phone restarts to firmware upgrade screen & wait for the (Virtual) LAN connection to connect but it never does. Why is that?
