Having phone problems - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I cannot hear when someone calls me or when I call someone else. They could hear me, but I can't hear them. The only way is when I turn on speakerphone. I didn't mess with any options or pressed the mute key either. Please help.

Are you using a custom ROM? Have you changed the radio? Does your camera preview work correctly?

everything works fine, i just installed a couple of custom fonts

ive had the same problem with my phone as well. What rom did you install?
i have NATF's v4.5 rom on mine.

I had the same issue when I flashed a WinMo 6.5 ROM. To fix it, lock your phone, have someone call you while it is locked. Answer the phone and you will have a "volume" button. This will let you increase the base WinMo call volume. Unfortunately, you have to do that after every soft reset. I'm sure there is a registry key to change this permanently, I just haven't had the time to look for it.

phone not ringing

My new xda2i seems to have a glitch, it doesn't like incoming calls. That is to say when I receive an incoming call it does't ring or vibrate. (yes I've set those settings properly!) If I do an SR it will then respond appropriately for a while but not always and not for long.
I thought it might have been something to do with Wibar advance 2.XXX but Ive disabled this and its still doing it, or not as the case actually is here!
Anyone else had these issues or got any thoughts other than send the thing back??
Pete
i have the same problem, and did as well on my old XDA2 and the XDA2s, the XDA2i is no different, after a while the phone gets "cloged up) some times it will ring but as i go to answer it says unable to answer the call, so i ring the caller back and they tell me they had been ringing for ages, and they hear the ringing tone and just think i am not answering the call.
but a spft reset fixes it, i am always soft reseting, and i have learned to live with it
John
thanks for the post, I guess I'm not the only one then huh? However I dont think SR's are the answer here I think this needs a more thorough resolution. If anyone has any ideas or solutions please respond on this thread.
I had the same problem and found that WisBar Advanced was causing this...
I uninstalled WisBar Advanced and the ringer worked again... There is a new Wisbar Beta that addresses this problem but I have not tried it yet.

Kaiser sound problem

Hi,
I have flashed with Dutty's Official WM6.1 ROM and now it's working fine except sound.
When I receive call only vibrate and the applications are also silent.
Where can be a problem?

You need to flash a new radio, try one of the versions in the first page of the Dutty's ROM Port. Or read the sticky on this forum. There is a radio help link in there.
For the life of me, I can not figure out why my phone (when set to vibrate and ring) only vibrates when receiving a call. I've tried it at the "normal" sound setting and at "automatic" and when calling from my landline, it still just vibrates w/ no ringtone. When going into HTC Home 2.1, i check the ringtone and it plays. Any help on the matter? or a good explanation of what the "automatic" sound setting truly does? I feel like an idiot...
ps I'm using OEM status as far as my rom goes. I've only added HTC Home and the Kaiser Tweak.
Thanks Dave, now it is OK!

[Vibrator] Isn't working

Well, that mayb sounds a bit weird but it's true. My phone does not vibrate anymore, at least, it does not vibrate when i'm being called. I don't know how it is with sms or mms, but when people call me i do not get a nice sensation anymore in my pants .
It all happend when I flashed Hyperdragon IV Lite on my kaiser. A nice dose of Anryl's 6.S_1 after Hyperdragon did not help me either. I've hard resetted my device but I had no success.
My phone vibrates when a connection is established, or when haptic feedback is enabled in S2U2. Also my phone vibrates when I soft reset it. When I'm in Sound & Notifications I cannot select vibrate for incoming calls and searching this forum did not help me either. Please, how can I enable my vibrator?
I'm kicking this thread.
very strange.
try PhoneAlarm to see if you can get that back
never heard of a rom not allowing Vibrate..

I used to have the same issue, missed couple of call....on c1...
I managed to figure out, the problem is the callwait.mid does exist but it was a silent midi....
Just fire up registry editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\CallWaiting
change the sound value from callWait.mid value to callWait.wav...
and you can add vibrate by modify the script to av0pw3r,...
btw, no soft reset required....

it's good for me now.....

phone locked while getting calls ICS 4.0.3/.4

Hi all,
i have a question about the phone app.
Every time i receive a call, my phone get's locked, i can't do anything, until the caller hangs up. So i cannot mute or turn on speakers etc.
When i call someone myself, i have to press the powere button a few times to get the caller in the forground so i can enable speaker, numpad, etc..
I'm running OpenSensation, but i have the same issue on all the other aosp roms (ICS)
I did flashed the firmware by mike, so that one should be up to date.
Anyone else having the same issue ?
EDIT
Maybe there is something broken, now i have it on all other roms... too.
Wonder if you can check the sensor status with adb, any ideas ?
