[Solved] "Reinsert battery" image after radio update -- won't go away! - G1 Android Development

Major problem!
I've had 5.0.1H for the past several hours; no real problems. I just applied the new HTC radio update, restarted the phone, and like always, the battery image came up, asking me to remove the battery.
I did this, turned back on the phone, and it's still asking me to take out the battery. I've done this about five times, and nothing's changed. I've tried booting up with the camera + power buttons, as well as the home + power buttons, but it's still telling me to take out the damn battery. Any help?
If it helps, I applied the "Saphire-Radio-Update (rc33).zip" update from http://code.google.com/p/sapphire-port-dream/ .

Um... does it look like this:

If so, that's just showing that's it's FLASHING your radio, do NOT remove the battery! Let it finish or you'll risk bricking!

Wow; close one. For some reason, I just always assumed that meant take out the battery. I don't ever remember leaving it in before, although I guess I've only updated the radio once or twice, so I can't be sure.
In any case, I left the battery in for about thirty seconds with it powered on, and it formatted and started up fine. Thanks for the help! I feel kinda dumb now.

[Q] Help me to fix few problems on ICS

Hi peepz,
Since a week ago I installed ICS (9.2.1.11 WW) (android 4.0.3) First I was really excited about it but after 20 minutes I saw alot of bugs. So I started to look on the forum if more ppl had these but since I have alot of bugs I decided to make this post.
Bugs:
1: My screens give something like dead pixels (don't really know how to describe this so made screenshots and photo's of it) So on the photo's I see the dead pixels (as you can see too) but on the screenshots it shows like there are no problems?!?!!. So if anyone know how to fix this please tell me!
2: Sometimes my screen just turnsblack and I have to hit the powerbutton once for putting it in sleep and hit it again to wake it up... kinda weird? (i also goes to sleep when im playing a game or using a app, so it's not that im idle for too long)
3: When I shutdown my device with the power button and select shutdown. This all works but when I try to boot it up again I have to put the USB cable in my tablet and connect to the pc or the charger else it won't boot up!?
4: On some locations my wi-fi don't work it just keeps saying about getting ip adresses or something but that takes thousand years. (and my mobile does work there. I got nexus S running ICS 4.0.3 too).
So if someone could tell me how to fix one of these problems or maybe even all of them! That would be great!
Yours,
Kasper

Poor battery life.

I will try to give the back story as fast as I can. I was using synergyROM build like 123 for long time on S3, my screen cracked, and I backed up the phone. When bestbuy got my phone in I picked it up and before I got home it got the OTA update and it took me a bit to find how to root it with the update. got it rooted and restored and than updated to SynergyROM 373(newest build). It was just burning my battery up fast as can be. The phone was getting hot at times of use as well. I read that cleanROM was stable as can be, so I came here. After wiping everything and installing the battery might be a little better but not much.
Questions are, Is it cause something is still messed up from the SynergyROM flash?
Could it be something to do with the phone its self? Maybe its a refurbed phone and something is still wrong with it?
Here are some screen shots of my phone info.

Try not talking on the phone all day and only connect to wifi and 4g when needed. Then post some screenies with screen time on amount
Sent from club Clean Rom
I use my phone for work so I have to talk all the time, so thats not an option. Before this phone I would get though a day just fine.
Usually you want to give a 2-3 days for things to "settle down" before you can start judging the battery life (after rom flash usually). It could also be that you have a defective phone. BetterBatteryStats would also give more details of battery usage.
To me, your battery usage looks normal comparing to your activities.
If anything, I would probably lower my voltage or even underclock your device just a tad to squeeze some battery life out of it.

bottom part of the screen flickers

so i bought this 16gb nexus 5 D820 a little over 2 months ago and had no problems with it whatsoever until this noon, when i was just browsing the 'net as usual, my phone became warm, i thought it was normal since i checked cpu-z it said it was 45 degrees and normal, cool..i kept on browsing till it rebooted by itself twice, still no problem, cool. since it was running low on battery i charged it and upon finishing the screen looks like this now, apart from it, everything else still works though.

i thought it was software issue since i didn't crack the screen, nor did i drop it, i was on purity + hellscore then. i flashed google factory image, unroot it and locked the bootloader again making it look as if it was just taken out of the box, but to no avail, it still looks like this up until now
i guess the heat somehow broke the lcd's component,
has anyone ever experienced this before ? how on earth could this happen?
Just a random hardware failure... These things just happen out of the blue... I'm not sure but I don't think this flickering has anything to do with the device rebooting itself on getting hot..
RMA it asap...
Even I am facing the same issue since few days. I am yet yo find the solution to fix this. I do not want to replace the display just for this. I just hope this might not create any problems in future. Please let me know if u have found the solution to fix this issue

Phone goes dead when being stressed (games, maps)

Hi
I have been having this issue for a couple of months and i do not know where i would start to troubleshoot
Basically with full charge every time i use either the Maps or a game (what i noticed anyway) it shuts off and after a couple of attempts to turn it back on it would come on but the battery will be 1 or 2%. and i have to charge it again.
I have flashed it to stock and used pretty much all the ROMs available with no success(. It seemed like a hardware issue but i do not know what it is. I could try replacing the battery but i am not convinced that is the problem.
I did not drop it or abuse it in any ways. Always kept it clean .
I am attaching a screenshot of the battery after it happened
If anyone has any idea of what could it be and share i would REALLY appreciate it
Thank you

S8+ G955U gets stuck

Hi guys this is my very first topic. I have been using this phone for about 6 months and this problem started a few days ago and it's being annoying. Hopefully someone here would know what can I do.
The screen sometimes gets stuck just like freezing and doesn't respond to any kind of touch well the only touch working is if I hold the home button and it only vibrates. The way that it gets back to normal is to press the lock button and unlock the phone again, sometimes it takes a while to unlock it is like it's not responding, after a few attempts it gets back to normal... since yesterday this problem is more frequent so I am here hoping that some kind wisdom person could help me. And the other thing is that when it's stuck the screen change colours like multicolor it could be the entire screen or just part of it. Here some pictures of how it looks I don't know if it's firmware or hardware

You know, to me it sounds like there are an app, or a few that are not behaving when loaded, and clogging the CPU. As you can, take a look at the apps you are using, and see if you can whittle down the ones, and or uninstall some that may seem the culprit.
If you have a backup, perhaps restore to an earlier time when the phone was operating smoothly, and slowly . . . slowly over days or a few weeks, restore an app or two, and see where it becomes poorly functioning again.
Also, look in settings/Battery etc and see what apps are running when the unresponsiveness occurs again. Write those apps down, and as time goes for a few days/week, see what the common denominator apps show up.
Backups are a wonderful thing.
