I have a touch diamond (gsm) with 6.5 but I wan't to downgrade to the original 6.1 rom from htc's website. Will hard-spl (olinex) prevent me from doing that?
Thanks in advance

But remember, if you are down grading back to OEM for warranty purposes, you will also need to flash the original Spl. Or else your warranty will be voided.

Aah I knew there was a catch
So let me get this straight.
-Flashing official ROM shouldn't be a problem?
-I probably should flash a stock radio as well?
-AFTER i've done all that I'll replace HardSPL (olinex) with a stock one?
Right???
Thanks in advance

Exactly in that order.....yep! Always good practice to hard reset it as well to avoid any potential bugs that might have occurred during the flash.
Thanks alot guys really appreciate all your help!!!

did anyone installed it? versions of HSPL, Radio?
1.76.0009 SPL
Too afraid to try the radio first
yeah, I'm allready stuck w/ perfected 1.76.0009 and 6.35.08.29 radio from Euro Zone RUU
Can anyone verify for what CID is this for?
Since it has the same SPL like the European update perhaps it has the same version of the Radio as well.
The radio in this release is 6.35.08.29. I looked at the radio.img in a hex editor.
right then, is the same as European.

So I was right...its the same as the European update. Probably just some area-related changes.
I'm tired of this!
When will an update come for the rest of the EU countryes?

Why dont you just follow CursorDroid's tutorial and flash it yourself?
I gues I could do that. I already have a sense ROM flashed, I just kind of "scared" to chage radio and spl. But if I have to wait much longer, who knows....

No reason to be scared...
In the last month or so, my ROM has been downloaded thousands of times by users worldwide, and only one or two complaints, and one bricked phone (users fault).
Read the directions carefully, and make sure you understand them, and you're good to go. Ask questions in the thread if you need to before you flash anything.
The upgrade link is in my signature.

I usually just flash the radio onto my phone to find out the version! Not really the safest way...

Thanks so much!! Now I can continue to play away without worry that I can't get it back to factory defaults .
it is thanks to you that after 2 weeks of having my phone messed up because of a cyanogen mod stuck in an endless boot with no help from anyone in any forum..that i finally have a working phone.
THANK YOU SIR. you are a king amongst ANTS.
Is there a way to extract the update.zip? I need this to fix my phone and running the exe doesn't detect my phone.
Edit:
Don't worry about it I figured it out and fixed my phone

Just curious, would this also revert my hboot to stock, if I have an AlphaRev s-off hboot?
Thanks!
Edit: I guess it's not really a big deal to fastboot a stock hboot anyways, so disregard my question =P

MANY THANKS.
one question. I am using HTC Desire which i got from EU. I am on FIDO and whenever i get a text message, it lags 4 hours. Does this issue exist on this ROM or on every HTC Desire here or its just FIDO/Rogers/T-Mobile problem?
Secondly, Are these ROOTED ROMS?

Hi, I have found mentioned on gsmhosting forum about new RUU for ChaCha phone.
RUU_Chacha_HTC_Europe_1.33.401.1_Radio_47.17.35.30 33H_7.48.35.14_2_release_204385_signed.exe
but cannot find any download link, so I'm asking for help to anybody from here.
They got this on some FTP, becouse this is Support FTP Files List [10.08.2011], but don't know nothing more, any help?
ps.
I will still try to find some more - and if I will found, will try to upload on some hosting service.
Do we need to s-off for this rom to work? i am asking this since this is HTC's stock rom right?

I think not if you have unbranded phone. But if you got phone from carrer, you will need to debrand first, and for do this, you will need to have s=off.
Right now still looking for this soft to download, and it is hard to find it...

HTC ChaCha
Hi, I have a UK ChaCha tied to T-Mobile. I want to wipe the phone entirely of all T-Mobile software and return it back to how it came from the factory so it will work on any UK network but specifically O2 for the time being.
I`ve been told to hunt down a "clean unbranded factory rom".
Is this available yet and if so how is it done?
Please could somebody also tell me what S=off or S=On means too.
I build PC`s occasionally so not entirely useless but this is all very new to me.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Andy

If so (and you're S-ON), don't upgrade, you'll lose the gingerbreak root vulnerability.
This thread is made for everyone with less then 10 post's and for the one's who are afraid to post in the dev section.

I'm not sure if I have TMOBILE, Because on the device itself you can see the name: "HTC" and not "TMOBILE", But when I turn on the device, you can see in the screen "TMOBILE" (Maybe it's just TMOBILE's Rom ?)

Fullwipe= wipe data/factory reset in recovery, it wipes all app's and setting's and allows you a clean install.
You can always go back to stock by flashing the stock recovery, relocking the bootloader and flashing a RUU

I think you're getting into something too complicated for you
Root, put a recovery or install a rom is simple only if you have some basics and more than basics (imho).
If you know someone (an android geek to be exact lol ) who can help you, it should be better
