corrupt email account??? - General Questions and Answers

Hi forum,
I've got a problem with my WM6.1 Messagign account (Pop3) ... again
After a couple of months, it is not possible to send any mails from this account. Message: "mail could not be sent. check account and connection and try again."
If I set up a new account with exactly the same settings, everything works fine.
BUT if i delete the old account, all my send messages are gone.
What canI do to either transfer the send mails into the new account or repair the old one? (just menu-move... does only work withun one account. not to another)

Removing Email account & messages

hi all
I've recently upgraded my phone from an orbit to an orbit2, which I'm very pleased with.
When installing information on my new device I made a slight mistake. On my orbit I backed
up all my email & text messages using smsbackup. The only thing i forgot to do was create
my email account on my orbit2 before I installed by email messages. So basically my device
thinks there's an email account called ABCOne (this was the name of the email account on my
orbit) on the phone (orbit2). I'm now unable to create a new email account on the phone under the name ABCOne. To sum up Smsbackup has installed 10 emails messages in this account on my device without me creating the account in the email settings.
How can i find and deleted this account and email messages? The reason I know its there is
because im using mobile shell and it tells me the account is there and also smsbackup shows
it to when backing up text etc on new device.
Can anybody help please

Partially lost email account

Have an exchange account set up and also a Gmail IMAP account setup. Both have been working fine since Friday when I got the phone and flashed to NATF 1.1.
I rebooted my phone this morning following a Advance Config change to turn off Assisted GPS and now from the TF3D mail page, I can see my Gmail account, flip thru the messages there, but I can't open them or go to my inbox. Pressing inbox sends me to the account picker which only displays Messages and Exchange. If I'm in my Exchange inbox and flick to the next account, I can get to messages but not Gmail. If I try to add a new account named Gmail, it refuses since there is an account already by that name.
Is there any way to recover or delete Gmail without it appearing in the Account list?

I just added another Gmail2 account. It's annoying to have 3 accounts on the TF3D, but I'll probably flash something else in a couple days anyway, so why bother?

Email - How to dont delete emails (keep them in server)

Hi guys
Well, i searched many times, in google, and here about this, but nowhere i found a resonsable solution for this, that is not exactly a problem.
I have an HOTMAIL account, and a PT-EU rom (official) (abit old) and i have the live mail ( i believe that already came with ) and i receive emails normally.
SO where is the problem?
The problem is: I do not want to delete emails form the server. Just copy to my cellphone, then if i delete from it, the email keeps in the server.[/SIZE]
Everytime i sync with wifi, all deleted emails from my TOUCH PRO (T7272) are also deleted from the server (hotmail).
I have an outlook in my job that does that (in my house, i lost many days trying to configure... and still doing the same thing as my phone, deleting the messages from the server, even worse, couse delete after transfer to the computer...)
ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION?
I know for [email protected] there is @ setting to [email protected] PPop or something [email protected] keeps your [email protected] in the server when you delete it from cell. Sorry I'm no help
i use gmail and it just labels my e-mail as "deleted item" and then removes it from my inbox. but its still in there. check if its in another folder in hotmail.
How have you got your Hotmail account configured, I use my live (hotmail) email address on my phone, configured to get my emails using POP3, with the "Keep messages on the Server" box checked, knowing how you've got your phone configured would be helpful.

my configuration isnt by that type, and well, i think you just told me the sollution.
The way the thing is, is that i have program from microsoft, "live mail" that comes with messenger and some other things. I just needed to login into messenger to it configures my email to receive messages.
I will try to delete it, and try to configure by pop3

Yahoo won't work anymore

My Yahoo mail stoped working for no reason, it keeps saying that my account info form my smtp is incorrect?? WT? No it's not it is correct.
Are you using a pre-configured Yahoo account type on the phone, or using a manually-configured Yahoo POP access account (requires a paid account)? I'm having no problem with Yahoo on my phone (paid account, but I'm using the pre-configured account type on the phone and the paid access for Outlook on the PC).
If it doesn't come back in a day or three, delete the account and try re-creating it.

It's a manually configured POP 3 Yahoo account that was working fine, I did no updates or configuration changes; I noticed that it bombs out when I try to send an attachment, it keeps saying my smtp account informaiton is wrong.
I forgot to mention that this has happend 3 times before and each time I've deleted and recreated my Yahoo account but this time it has not worked. This is really starting to get on my nerves; why does Windows Phone do this? My account settings are correct, ive even double checked they are the same as my Outlook on my computer; what gives?

Okay I narrowed it down to that if I don't attach a picture to it it works fine; WT So now I can't send pictures via email because I gett that stupid error. Help.
Try using the automatic Yahoo account type (which will use IMAP, and possibly a different SMTP server). I don't know why attaching an image is messing up the server you're using, but there seems to be some kind of problem.
I am having the same issue and I am just trying to send a regular plain text email. Then I went to yahoo and for some reason I had to reinstate my account. When another friend of my reported the same problem. We figured it was a yahoo, issue.

There is no new emails, no notifications, nothing.
(My first account is mail.naver.com and the second one is my company's mail account)
I've tried with a third-party mail app, it works well. so well.
I've been receiving emails from the second account with my old phone for more than 3 month.
And there has been no any problem to receive emails or sync with my old phone which is HTC One M7.
I don't think it is the problem of account server.
I have no idea why I can't receive any emails from the second account.
Is there any way to improve receiving mails or... any solution of this??
