Customiziable SubMenu Program? - General Questions and Answers

Hello all, I use iDiamonds and love the way it flows and looks. However sometimes adding icons can be difficult, so I was looking for a submenu app similar to Mobile Shell that I could customize the icons with, if it exists. Thanks in advance.

what IS iDiamonds? I searched here at XDA and on web... i don't see any menu system, just ipod related stuff.

idiamond is a TF3D mod, is great but early in devolpment so it's pretty unstable.

touchflo 3d blocks access to system tray

Hello. I am a bit unhappy Touch PRO user because I love touchflo interface but would like also to use system tray-controlled software like openvpn or vsUtil.
I already installed secondtoday (also replaced the "Phone" softkey with it) but there is no way to make REAL tray icons appear there, only fake launcher stuff with Homescreen PLusPlus. The way left to access tray-controlled apps is to quit tochflo today plugin thru loooong series of taps thru settings.
I-d love an alternative such as make real tray icons still appear in Secondtoday or a lightweight tray icons porting popup app. Any other ideas/clues how to get an easy access to tray icons from touchfo....
Thanks for reading
Looking forward to hear Your thoughts
I agree.
My office forces us to use the Good email system. That software uses its own version of the email client, calendar and contacts. I'd like to reassign the tray "buttons" to point to the Good programs rather than being stuck with quick links to now unused versions of email, calendar and contacts.

Hi,
did you find a solution to the problem in the meantime?
Without the trayicons i have to choose between a pretty finger-enabled gui or using my universities WLAN.
Kind regards,
samoht

i assume you are talking about enlargetitlebar which which gives you easier hits on the "system tray" notifications. you should be able to disable it in the registry. mess around in hklm\software\htc. there might be an enable dword you can set to 0. i dont have it installed on my rom and i kind of miss it so i may try to get it back on my next flash.
No, i refer to the system tray at the bottom of today screen as shown in this screenshot.
The manilla interface is drawn on top of it and theres no easy way to access it. I have to disable touchflo in the settings, then start openvpn and afterwars reactivate touchflo. This is annoying... too bad openvpn relies on this.
oh yeah. forgot all about that thing. havent seen it in years. try a tf3d to today switcher thing. ive seen ones that it changes the left home tab soft key to the words "today" which lets you have a second today screen and today items and i guess the system tray too along side tf3d. ill try to find it again.

@The Jack of Clubs:
Thanks so much! This works for me, i can switch between classic today screen and manilla rather fast!

Windows 6.5 Help

I've been searching topics for a while, but I decided it'd be easier this way.
1. Can I change the start menu? Do we have that ability yet? It's extremely annoying.
2. How do I change the taskbar icons? I've looked through many taskbar topics, but I can't find a good answer. I did find one very large topic with a bunch of pictures, but that just scared me haha.
3. How do I change the Touchflo background?
(The two questions above were inspired by this http://www.mobilematt.net/NRGZ28/EnergyROM/New Chapter/Screenshots/Portrait.png)
4.Any clue where I can find a compatible Opera Browser? This IE isn't cutting it. At all.
5. Speaking of programs, do we have a list of programs that are compatible with 6.5 yet? Does the Youtube App work? Mine doesn't, it displays a tiny box in the corner of the Youtube app.
6. WOW IT'S FAST

Add things to the tf3d homes screen

Hey guys i've been searching around a little bit and cant seem to find the answer to this, I'm trying to add things to my Home screen because the only things on there are the clock and calendar. Any help would be appreciated.
The TouchFLO 3D home screen isn't like a normal Today screen; it differs in that it's not directly customizable. You can't, for example, just add a plug-in to the home screen.
There are several additional tabs available here on XDA-Devs, or you can read up on editing Manila files, which use Lua, in order to customize your TF3D yourself. The latter isn't for the faint of heart!

There is limitless customization available depending on what you want.
It should ike you are running just WM today? TF3D is the bomb interface but there are others such as SPB Moobile Shell, Ultimate Launcher, etc....
I run 3 different interfaces simultaneously.

shortcut to favorite contacts

don't shoot me, but i am a bit of a novice. posted here 'cos this is where the hackers are, hopefully with some advice...
i like to keep my main (wm6.1) today screen clean as poss. i don't want any new gui app or touch flo etc etc. just a plain background image with one (transparent icon/bmp) folder containing 8 or so favorite contacts.
and, if poss, have it as a pop-up displaying the contact icons, then tap a non-linked area of screen for it to disappear - if that's possible without cluttering up the system with files too much.
is this possible without much knowledge of heavier hacking/script editing?
(oh, and obviously i don't want to install a big third party app to get 'whatever' to go, if that makes sense)
been searching and trying different things, but to no avail.
cheers very muchly

[Q] Building a Plain text Launcher (Terminal/Command prompt Style)

Hi all, I'm newly registered here and I've found only 1 thread concerning this.
My question is this: How hard would it be to build a Launcher that doesn't use graphics, only text. I ask this because I've never programmed for android, but I have some experience in actionscript and basic. It's not very much tho, and I've tried many different programming languages over the years, mostly basic stuff in school (php, java, c++, javascript).
I always liked the look of CWM recovery on my Galaxy 3. It's really crisp and I wondered if I could make a launcher myself that would emulate that look and feel.
I also liked how more of the screen could be used since you could use vol+/- keys for navigation, and not just your touchscreen. That means smaller fonts and more options on screen at one time.
Is it possible for me, as a total beginner, to build a really simple launcher that I could later expand with widgets etc?
I guess this won't get any replies because it sinks down so fast...
Where should I post this, I seem to be getting no answers...
