Not sure as to why, but I'm missing the am/pm symbols for the alarm in TF3D and also the clock and Alarms and Tasks. All I see is 6:30 when I should see 6:30AM
Can anyone assist?
I have a HTC Touch Diamond
The Regional settings are set for English (Australia) and the Time tab shows the symbols set.

Not exactly sure if you mean the the first Home tab, but it is in 12 hr and has the am/pm.
I have hard reset the phone and it has come back. Just a pain to have reload all the programs again.
no no, in regional settings, in the time tab, there's a Time Style setting... what is it set to?

looks like I didn't have the :tt in my selection.
The hard reset has solved it anyway.
My pda is running much faster now too.
Thanks
i'm glad you managed. and a hard reset is always a good idea to solve trouble.

I need some help. I installed PhoneAlarm about a week ago and ever since, I've noticed that whenever I go into the PhoneAlarm settings (to do anything), after I get out, my settings in my WM6 Notifications and Alarms gets messed up. For example, the sound that I have set in my WM6 notifications for my morning alarms gets messed up.
Any ideas? I'm probably overlooking something very simple but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phonealarm take over all "Notifications and Alarms Settings" you need to set them within phonealarm itself.

Yes, I see that, but I can't seem to select the sound I want for my clock alarms, only generic "Notifications" in PhoneAlarm. That's my dilemma. I want to use different sounds for notifications and clock alarms.
Can I do that in PhoneAlarm?
Hi,
No - phoneAlarm groups all reminders together - uncheck "Reminders" on the first tab - and then you can control Appointments, Tasks and Clock via the system settings (but then without repeating alarms)!

Thanks! Bummer about no repeating alarms, but I can live with that.
There's G-Alarm which is quite good.
Hi!
When you get a SMS or calendar event or battery is running out, you get that "bubble" at the bottom telling about the event. For SMS you get snippet of it and so on.
Some days ago, my TP stopped doing that! I just got a SMS, and it made all the notification sounds and wibrates and I got the icon on top, but not the pop-up. When I click on the icon, I get the black notifications screen, from which I need to click it again, and only then I get the pop-up ballon.
How can I get it back to work as it should?
I've done some changes with Advanced Config, but nothing that relates to that. Nor do I now find anything that could relate to it. Currently I'm questioning if Advanced Config does something else than what it seems to do.... well at least I cannot think of any setting from anywhere that would have changed this.
Do I need to hard reset the phone again?
Firts try to set the default settings back in advanced config and try to use the default skin.
If that don't fix the problem then you could back up your phone, do a hard reset and overwrite the fresh install with the back up you made.
In Settings>Sounds and notifications>Notifications
select the options from the drop down list and tick checkbox next to display message on screen

Duh!
Thanks! Had been there, but didn't see the option as I was too lazy to try to change the notification event.
But I never changed that... so I do not know how it was changed. However, no hard reset needed this time (only one so far... due GPS problems).
It appears there is a relationship with using Advanced Config here
I second that. Advanced Config is the culprit. Uninstall it, re-enable each of your notifications under settings, then do soft reset. When I had Advanced Config Installed, my device just kept unchecking the notifications boxes for no reason. I'd re-enable them and about a day later they would be unchecked again. Uninstalled Advanced Cofig and no more issues.
Hi All,
I have spent some time lookinf ofr an application and so far have been unsuccessful.
I am trying to find a clock, that could be placed on the top taskbar of WinMo 6.1.
The only application I know of that has a similar functionality is KBattery, whoch is a very old and ugly application.
I know that probably Wisbar Advance has this functionality, but the application is too much of a memory hog to install it just to get a clock. I have a nice battery icon showing percentage of battery and would not want to trade it for a clock instead, so I need an additional clock. I tried setting up both battery and clock on taskbar, but because I have the custom icons it does not work.
Does anyone know of such an application? Can anyone make one?
It would need to have similar to KBattery ability to be moved around taskbar.
Thanks in advance
Szadzik
Try P-bar. I have it installed with the clock and memory showing.

Anyway to move it around taskbar?
I opened it and then it covered the battery I cone that I do not want coevered and after a few operations the taskbar disappeared completely. Only soft reset helped.
Any other suggestions?

I don't think there is a way to move it around. It runs in the background, I have it assigned to one of my buttons, so I can activate it. If you tap on the upper right hand corner, it will show up again depending on how you set it on settings.

I played with it for a few hours and it definitely is not what I am looking for. Ugly as hell and even worse, cannot be moved.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't know why you called pBar ugly, but it can show you both time and memory, both time and battery, both time and battery percent, etc...
May be you need a battery indicator that can be moved, rather than the clock. Here is a screen shot of mine. I am using a free battery indicator "ARIEL BATTERY" from this site. I used pBar to show both time and available main memory. All the information and controls I need on the today screen.

Right,
I have a nice icon set installed and do not wnat to have it covered by pbar, that's the only reason I do not like it. I want it in the middle of my taskbar not on the right side.
Hi,
Try Quick Menu 2.8. It has the features you are looking for.

Thanks, I will try that.
EDIT: It is a very nice menu for WM, however it only shows an additional battery on the taskbar, no moving it around though.
I am still looking for a CLOCK that will be shown on the taskbar and can be moved around it, to be positioned somewhere in the middle.
o stick with KBattery
Once every 2-3 days, I 'll get the weather lockscreen, instead of the one I have chosen. It's not annoying, but have you guys noticed anything like that?
go to the weather app-> settings-> untick the last option

Yes I do. For me it's a little bit odd.
It's not persistent though since once I unlocks it and put the phone into standby and wakes it up again it's back to the screen I have choosen. But once in a while the weather lockscreen pops back up again.
Oh.... so it's some kind of notification for todays weather? And here I thought it was some kind of bug... heheheh
Now I just wish there was an easy way to put the weather widget on any kind of lockscreen... so far I haven't got to customize the lockscreens with widgets...
Hey all,
Got my HTC One S yesterday and first thing I went to do was change the keyboard to Smart Keyboard Pro, installed it OK but the usual step of long pressing on any text entry box doesn't bring up the option to choose the input method.
Has this been changed in Sense and I'm just not seeing the option?
Thanks for your help.
Russ
sometimes it will be in the notification bar..
Or just go to settings > Language and keyboard > then select preferred keyboard
Aha! I did have it turned on in settings but quite rightly the input method option now lives in the notification area. Many thanks!
I am using Black Dragon rom and unable to change keyboard also no matter if you set the settings for it.
