Should I upgrade manila on touch Pro?

Hello all, I have a newly acquired Sprint Touch Pro and have been seeing a full manila upgrade floating around, should I upgrade to this or is it not necessary unless using custom themes? Also will it replace/override most of the current manila files? 18Mb seems pretty big for a cab file. Sorry for my ignorance and thanks in advance.

I too aquire a mda vario 4 ( aka touch pro ) and i too dont want to flash my rom but only change to manila 2.1
i need a help from the forum friends how to upgrade to manila 2.1 or 2.5 without flashing my rom

i just upgraded to the new manila after needing a hard reset for something unrelated and i love the new manila it is a lot better. at first it was slow but after some soft resets or changes in advconfig or installing swype (not sure which) it is now just as fast as before. i would recommend it but you may need to hard reset which is what held me up before.

The new manilla's integrate themselves into the os alot more than the older ones, i would not advise installing 2.1 by cab, you are just asking for trouble and errors ect and it cant be uninstalled so once you installed it your stuck with it, either flash a new rom with the manila u want included or keep the original one, im using my own cooked rom with the original manilla, i dont need 2.1 or 2.5, neither of them were made for our device or work perfectly with it, so u mite as well use the manilla that was made for the device your using not a touch pro 2 or HD 2

Can in any way without harming my rom & slowering the system speed .. can I add tabs in the touch flo ( like calender , stock, etc )

I am running touchflo 2.1 (manila 2.1) installed from a cab and have no real problems at all. The only issue I have is with the Tachi dialer and that is only necessary if you wish to make calls from the people tab. If you install the 2.1 touchflo and don't like it you can use total commander and delete all the manila files and soft reset your phone. The manila files are the touchflo files and will be restored from the rom. Hope this helps

Two roms running on my kaiser after flashing!

Hi guys! Here is my pb, ive just flashed my kaiser with the new Anryl WM 6.5 ROM because Utopykzebulon's was not as good . Before that I had AthineOs ME and after Anryl's IOLITE one AND NOW I still have AthineOs image when I turn on my device and moreover I don't have WM 6.5 interface but Manilla2D .... I don't understand how it can be posible! Any idea? Thx

If you read the package list you would see Anryl WM 6.5 ROM includes Manila2D and not the WM6.5 Interface. You arent running 2 Roms you just have the splash screen from your old Rom stuck on your new Rom. I would assume the Rom you flashed doesnt have a custom splash screen but im not sure as I have never used it and it doesnt say in the package list. Read *HERE* about the splash screen and how to change it.

Please take some time to read up about ROM flashing on Windows mobile devices.
If you had done you would know that a NBH image file that you flash to your device has many parts. One of which is a Splash screen. All these parts are optional (you need one part of course).
If AthineOS had a splash in his NBH file but Anryl did not then the splash screen would not change between ROM flashes. This is the same for the Radio, if Chef A includes a radio, but Chef B does not then the radio won't change.
Follow mskips tool for flashing your splash screen and you'll be back to normal.

That happened with me when I tried Abu's v15 & then tried Uto's 6.5 beta. But that doesn't mean you have two ROM's. Don't worry thats really doesn't make your device a small wonder either.

Help I'm A Huge Noob!

Hello I'm a big fat noob. I was wondering if it was possible to just flash ANY old wm6 rom to my 8125 after I have taken all the steps in the newbies guide up to the point of flashing. The guide told me to pick a rom. Can I use any wm6 rom? I would really like something more touch, like a diamond rom or something with touchflow. I'm using a T-Mobile WM5 ipl/spl 3.08 as used as example in the guide. It'son a Cingular 8125. If I can flash just any rom and have it be compatible with my phone, does anybody know a good rom to use? Please help, as I said, I'm a noob.

You must choose a ROM that was designed for your specific device as the ROM's are device specific - Diamond ROM for Diamond - Vogue ROM for Vogue - Elf Rom for Elf - Etc.... get the picture.

OK, thanks alot, I would hate to brick my phone over a stupid mistake like that! Does anybody know of a good WM6 Touch-flow rom for an HTC wizard? I hate the interface with the stylus and would like something more like the large touch buttons and display styles of the Diamond is why I wanted that one. Like I said I'm a noob and just not sure what I can actually use on my 8125

qtek s110 bootloader problem

Hi homies.I have a big problem with my qtek s110(128mb ram)I can't change rom from 2.03 tx.I have radio 1.12 but I still can't change on catula rom or even original rom.What's going on??I will be realy happy if somebody have solution.

Please answer.It's important for me.

u should do bootloader (power off+ camera+ reset)button at the same time .and after u try with Cotulla rom as WWE 3.0X (also WWE 3.05) , ur ram is 128mb,right?but u must remember that radio rom shoud be 1.12 not 1.13,if u 1 work with WWE 3.03. And with another, im not sure
and 1 way u should delete radio rom file of HTC magician WWE 3.0X by Cotulla in folder upgrade before u upgrade to ppc

[Q] Installing Android..HELP!

Hi guys..
I have a really simple question, I have looked all over the net for a simple and STEP-By-Step way to get Android to run on my HD2 but I havent found anything. I have read that I need to change my ROM and Radio but how does one do that? I have a stock HD2 without the color keys.
