Anyone from Belgium? Need some help - General Topics

Hi guys,
does anyone know if there're any mobile operators with decently-priced prepaid data plans in Belgium? I'll need to travel to there (to Brusselles) this May and I prefer purchasing local, prepaid cards for Internet access instead of paing a fortunae for data roaming.

Hi there
I'm from Belgium
We have 3 big operators.
The biggest with the best support, but the most expensive one is Proximus
The second best is Mobistar
And the third one, is Base.
For mobile internet, I think Proximus or Mobistar are the best choices, but not sure it's possible to get Prepaid mobile internet.
You should check their sites

Thanks in advance,

Prepaid phones are everywhere
Prepaid phones are everywhere but with no GPRS connection .
The easyest way to do is WiFi . If you have WiFi device you will
connect in lots of places . For example here I found 318 places

Questions on GPRS/EGDE Facilities In Australia

Hi there to all oz people...
Im heading for Sydney next week and will stay there for some three years to complete my Bachelor Degree on accounting..
Now as i use my PPC (HTC TyTN) for all basic e-mailing need (Push Mail) and some bit of internet browsing or talking in skype time to time on mobile gprs...so i will also need a gprs/edge/3g/hsdpa data connection plan when i wll buy a mobile sim after reaching there.and as this is my first time in australia so i dont have any knowledge on there mobile operators and the facilities they provide.so my question goes here..
1) Will i be able to use gprs in any prepaid (like pay as you go) package? Bearing in mind that im a student.and if yes then which network providers support this and whose cost is lowest?
2) Does they have any unlimited data plan in prepaid or postpaid?and if yes then which network providers support this and whose cost is lowest?
3) Which mobile operators facilities is the best and you reccomand most?
Thanks in advance....
br.
Sajib
PS: I also posted the same question on Network subforum but didnt get any answer in 3 days so posting it here again..
as i guess here definately has a number of oz people and they could help me out here..
it depends on how much you will travel and where you will based. I live across the road from unsw and get good coverage on 3. they have good data packs (for australia) but there is no unlimited here. pre paid is also not normally allowing full use of gprs or 3g. the problem with 3 is they have a small coverage area in the 3g zone, so if you travel much it will go back to gprs with high cost. I spend $85 on mobile+data a month and I doubt you will be able to do better and still be able to use it frequently. I think 3 push mail is $3 unlimited a month as an add on (this post was done under their 3g coverage on my heremes but 20 meters away I get no covereage)
Australia sucks for mobile data, 3G or gprs theres not alot of difference in the price.
we must give thanks to telstra for that
Australia is like third world country when it comes to internet/broadband. In saying that your best option is to go with 3 as they have least laughable data plans. Also, 3 is about to introduce X-Series which means unlimitied browsing, orb, MSN, Ebay all for very decent price. Mind you very limited number of handsets will be supported for X-Series.

Canada(Toronto) - PAYG Sim Card with GPRS/3G data?

I'll be on a trip to Canada in a few weeks time, Toronto specifically.
Can anyone advise on a good Pay As You Go SIM Card available that will offer GPRS/3G data access.
In the UK I'm using a Tmobile VARIO II on Tmobile unlimited Web'n'Walk so unlimited data access would be good.
I will be there for 7 days, so I will also consider a limited data plan depending on the price.
Where can I get the SIM card in downtrown Toronto and what connection settings will I need to input.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Mike

PAYG while travelling

Hi all,
everytime i've travelled abroad recently I've bought a local prepaid SIM rather than use my home sim to avoid excessive roaming costs.
It's worked well for me using my smartphone with the local sim for cheaper calls, texts and especially data and my home sim in an old dumb phone so i can still receive calls and texts on my usual number.
short of having to find out the names of local networks and figuring out which is the best deal does anyone know of any good websites with impartial advice on a country by country basis (including current deals)?

International note 5 + T MOBILE

Hey guys. This is going to a very weird question, I live in Australia and we honestly have the crappiest data plans ever. Is there anyone who can tell me if it's possible to buy a t mobile simcard and use it in Australia indefinitely. And what sort of data/plans you guys have.
I'm a manager only a few months in, but to my understanding you would be limited to 2G speeds. Our Simple Choice NA plans offer unlimited international usage for texting and data, but I'm fairly certain that data is limited to 2G speeds as we partner with carriers out there for our customer's usage and I was recently checking as I'll be out there visiting Melbourne for a couple weeks!

Ah fair enough, I'm not at all fussed about 4g but 3g would be a must. 2G out here is a little to slow, but how much would they cost? I'm trying to see if it would be worth doing

You won't be able to use it indefinitely. There is a fair use clause in the contract that says you have to have the majority of your usage be in the US. They'd eventually cancel your number.
That being said, any Simple Choice plan will work. They all include unlimited data roaming and the only difference is the domestic data allotment. You'd be able to use the $50 plan in Australia.
Any calls to an Australian number would be $0.20 per minute and texts would be free.

But don't I have to live in the US or use the majority of that in the US even with the simple choice? Since I can't call t mobile support. Is there an email or online chat I can send a message to, to take this further? I tried the website. But most of the options I needed, I needed to have a number first.
