I searched the internet up and down and was not able to find a decent free flashcard program (actually I found none.) I came across this one:
http://www.vendant.com/FlashCardManager/tour.aspx (select ppc in the dropdown)
It's $25 to buy! It looks amazing so I may have to bite the bullet.
But before then, does anyone know of a free alternative?

Is Anyone aware of any software utilities for the Pocket PC, for Tracking your ebay auctions(I've seen Palm and Smartphone versions) as ebay dont seem to offer a PDA version of their Site ?
Can obviously still view Ebay fine on PDA, but was looking for something simpler and quicker.
Abidia Wireless is exactly what you need and best of all it is free as well.
http://www.abidia.com/p2-46.html and click on the PPC[2000/2002/2003] link on the left hand side.
Xcellent, thanks
Hi
I just installed Abidia, the items Ive won is incorrectly showing items Im watching, and using the search, all the current bid prices are wrong. The images are not displaying, although they have downloaded as I can find them with the file manager, finally the first letter is missing on the descriptions. Does the software really work?
What are the benifits of paying for this service, as all the functionality is there already (although not working for me), will it stop "working" after a few days if I dont subscribe?
Cheers
JustinP
It says $2.49 a month on the site, where is the free version?
Hi
It’s the same download I think, you just don’t enter the Serial number when configuring it. Maybe this is the problem.

Justin
Hi,
I have searched a lot so far, but still did not find it.
Does anyone know an eBook reader that will read the book with voiceoutput? I would love to be able to drive and having the books read to me.
Thanks,
vma
I was looking into the same. There is a program out there (not free) which will do exactly what your after (can't remember the name, try Google). Only thing is I think you have to buy the books from them.
Best of luck. Paul
Yeah... I do remember a software that read's books, but it uses like compressed audio files, which you have to purchase.
I was looking for a software that would use speech syntesis and that would open plain text files.
I had a free speech syntesis program installed once and you could like copy & paste text into it's window and it would actually read the text. But tyy to do that with a whole book...
Still, I find it funny that no one did make such a program. Can it be that I am getting really weird???
Cheers,
vma
One program was called Fonix iSpeak for Pocket PC, but good luck finding it now.
http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=586
Another program is called FLITE:
http://www.viksoe.dk/code/flite.htm
Arh ha. Flite was the program I was referring to. The Fonix ispeak sound even better! Does anyone know where to get it?
Hi,
It seems more dificult than what I assumed... I tried an evaluation version of Fonix (it is a discuntinued product, I guess) and it does not suit my needs: while it does indeed read a book in text format, it will neither show the text nor does it allow to stop reading and then resuming at another time.
So I had a new idea: why not look out for tools on the PC that would convert TXT to mp3?
I looked for it and there are actually tons of tools to do that.
However, from the 5-6 tools I tried, only one was able to actually produce a usable mp3 file out of a complete book.
The file is 100MB in size and the quality is not very good (the quality of the reader, not the compression).
I will to some further testings on that, but basically I believe that we are not yet there...
Cheers,
vma
Please keep us informed on the outcome. I too am interested.
Hi Guys,
Anyone know of a good application that gets rid of all the old garbage on your pocket PC (temp files, temp internet etc)? Also, do programmes exist that defrag a PPC like a normal Windows PC? (I appreciate the hardware and technology is different...) Freeware would be cool but would consider buying if it was really good.
Thanks
I'd recommend and personally use SK Tools; it's discussed in the WIKI HERE under 'Commercial' but I think it comes in some of the cooked ROMs' as well.
Best wishes
pocket mechanic is also good, will also defrag memory cards and clear registry entries.
Try CLEAR TEMP, it's FREE and a VERY SMALL FOOT PRINT: http://mobile-sg.com/software/?p=ClearTemp&platform=ppc

Thanks guys, I'll cook up a little sample and see how it tastes
Tried SKTools and was very impressed with it. Think I'll trial it until it expires but if it continues to shine, I'll be more than happy to pay the pittance it costs to register it!
Thanks for the info...
...oh, I win again! It's me...
Picked up an Orbit 2 yesterday, I was looking for the cheapest total cost of ownership for a new 12 month contract - ended up on business £35 + vat per month, £493 over the year (+ no up front costs), free BT headset and free calls to 10 landlines.
Anyway, I've had it 24 hours and I want to start playing - simplest things to start with seem like registry hacks like GPS photo tagging. I'm experienced with Windows XP, but the old start>run>regedit doesn't work
Looked in the wiki, not too many clues for WM6 - How is everyone editing the registry?
Also settings>connections>wifi does not find any networks, however if I enter the details manually it connects. Does WM6 scan for available networks like XP on my laptop, or do you need to know it's there? What's the best way of discovering local 'community access' points
Sorry if this is bleedin' obvious to everyone else, I did try a search (here and google) but it's all greek to me - any links to good guides for WM virgins greatly appreciated.

Hi,
To edit the registry, I use Total Commander. Many use Resco Explorer.
About the Wifi, when it's ON, WM searching for available network.
When network is found, a pop-up appears and you have to put your user name/password. To find "'community access points" you can use WifiFofum.

Total Commander totally rules!

Pocket controller pro is the best I've tried. You can edit from computer, with your keyboard. Much safer
anyone know where to find it at? I got Dutty's 6.1 rom, but its got no full 1_calc on it. i dl'd a trial version, but its got no currency converter or scientific calculator....
you buy it i assume?
Other than that asking for warez (aka illegal copies of software) is against the rules of the site =/
1-Calc
There is a wonderfull thing on the internet these days called google. You go there, type in what you want, and as if by magic, it pops up the page for what your looking for. Could'nt be simpler. Then just copy to your phone..
Look for the full version and that should have your currency converter + more..
