I've been trying to cook WM6.5 for my LOVE.
After all that initial troubles and stuff, finaly got my kitchen working fine with it.
But i have a bug that i'm still finding out where does it came from.
Hoping that someone had this problem also:
When i go to phone settings and change the ringtone or the keypad sounds, and then i do ok to leave the settings, it doesn't exit.
Other thing that happens is when i go to sounds & nottifications and change some tones, if i do OK, all the tones settings revert back to it's default and it doesn't exit.
Anyone had this problem?
Thank you
Cheers
To my knowledge, this bug is pretty much a given in WM6.5... depending on the device you use of course..
I had the same thing on the my diamond, and my polaris.
Can't tell you why this happens, and of course, i might be wrong about the given part.. but it's unlikely that it's just a "bug" if it's happened so many times before.
I've resolved the issue, changing some things in my OEM folder.
But at the end i can't figure out what was the problem. But all ended well...
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
hi,
i was thinking if there is some way to turn off all boot logo's and make visible kernel log and system log during booting like on regular linux system is...
what do you think?
zet
adb logcat > logcat.txt
I thing the question was to see bootlog instead splash boot screen.
yes, i know that. but i was writing "during booting"... not to show animation but logs when system is starting...
(heh, posting at the same time, thanks QDT anyway
Like when starting jf's recovery image?
I think that is what he is looking for... I would not mind seeing this either
This is actually hard to do. JF's recovery would just run "dmesg" before starting recovery. If you want a real console, you have to use a serial cable or something like mtdoops AFAIK.
I would prefer that as well. I like the linux look of boot.
I second.
Since day one, the splash screen during boot has annoyed the hell out of me. I have to turn it on and walk away for a few minutes just to keep my blood pressure level at normal. Any device that takes more than 5-10 seconds to boot just has to have a verbose option in my book.
You can count me among the people who'd love to see this.
I wonder if we can figure out a way to make this happen?
It doesn't look hopeful if cyanogen says it's difficult, lol.
as far as it may seems a useless feature, I will welcome it very much too.
I like to see what's going on, at boot time.
It's something I hate on Win and Mac.
So here it is another vote for it!
i would love this. plz cyanogen make it happen in your next ROM!

I just found out... so does windows... http://www.pchijack.com/os/windows-xp/enable-verbose-show-detailed-information-while-windows-start/
I would like it as well. For me doing an "adb -d logcat" or "adb -d logcat |tee log.txt" in a shell on bootup is fine though. Usually I only care right after flashing or if my phone is having problems. When the phone is having problems pushing it to a file on my computer is better than seeing it on the screen anyway.
Its useful only on first boot after reflashing, but it looks sooo sexy
Got another vote from me, I would love to see the linux like boot up also
iVote
i vote for it. just curious what's going on when it takes that long to boot...

The thread that you posted as a response to the questions posted in this thread have nothing to do with what the people in this thread are looking for so I am not sure what you read in here or thought you read.
so i swear, it worked before.....and when it first boots up it works...but after the screen goes off and comes back in, i can't pull the bar down on the lock screen....wtf? there must be a setting somewhere, right?
It really does work as far as a setting for it I have no idea
you know what? i think it's only hwen you don't have a sim card installed. whenever i do, it seems it works, but once i take it out, it won't let me! that's so crazy lol
Hi everyone! I've been away from XDA for quite awhile, so it's good to be back. Anyway, I just got a Note 10+ and on the first day I somehow changed the notification color on the drop down screen to red. I've been back in the settings screen looking for a solution (Probably been right in front of me this whole time). Can someone show/tell me how to change that color? I've attached a screenshot so you can see what I'm referring to.
Edit: Solved. It was a setting in Good Lock. @moderator: Feel free to delete thread.
Did you change the theme? If you did go back and apply the original theme and see if you can get it go back to normal.

I did change the theme, but that was "after" I had this problem. My logic (probably like yours) was that changing a theme would fix it. Then Notification pull down was about the only thing that didn't get changed. I hope this isn't too rude, but I'm going to put a shout out to some of the XDA members that I've been out of touch with: @tdunham, @rompnit. (My memory is going, I thought I would be about to find a few dozen members!)
So, I'm having trouble figuring out how to change the notification sound per app? Everything leads to the sounds settings which only seems to let you pick ONE sound for ALL notifications (with the exception of those that come with their own). What am I missing here? Am I just blind lol? I swear I can do this on my tab s7 (it's out for screen repair so I can't check for sure).
Let me know if I'm missing something here.
Bonus points: how can I make the sounds settings see Google sounds? I installed the app, but they don't show. I'm sure there is probably an extra step I'm missing.
Thanks!
Nevermind, I figured it out. Just have to dig deeper into the notifications in the app info..
