as long as it's an SDHC card you can use it. i heard that the largest SDHC card is 32Gb.. but it's probably very very expensive. 16GB one is pretty common now.

Are there any differences between the Sandisk and Kingston SD-cards?
At first I was thinking about buying 1Gb Sandisk card since this seems to work well with the Magician, but I found a Swedish webshop that has a really good price on a Kingston 512Mb card and two of those would be much more inexpensive than the 1Gb Sandisk.
I guess SD is SD no mather manufactor, but it's nice to know if there are any issues?
I have a Kingston 512 SD (Non-high speed version) and a Sandisk 1G (Non ultra version) , the sandisk 1g is a lot faster.
OK, so there are performance issues then.
What kind of "modes" does the Magician support, all of the following... ?
Sandisk SD-Card 1GB
Sandisk SD-Card Extreme III 1GB
Sandisk SD-Card Ultra II 1GB
I have an SD 1 G.B Super Talent, I'd rather say 2*512 SD is better bcz the 1 G.B sucks the battery :S

Really a 1 Gb SD get more power battery than a 512MG?
Looking to buy extra mem. 2gb doesn't do it for me...Box says 4gb is its limit. Will an SDHC card work, or do I just stick with a regular Sd card? Also, can it handle a higher capacity card?
SDHC will work... even with stock rom. I took my 8gb out of my wing to help set up one of my friends tilts
8gb sdhc works fine in my mogul
Hi, im using a low budget 8gb 0(zero) class sd card, would i see a big difference if i upgrade it?? Thinkin of sandisk 8gb class 6???
Get an SDCARD speed test, run it on your current card, compare with test results from other users who are using the sandisk.
Also want to think about uses down the line. For instance if you may want to use the adapter and put it in your camera, look at the camera specs to see if that will work. Always good to have storage. 7
Can someone tell me which is the highest class of SD card, which will b fully used by Desire S
And is there noticeable drop in performance of the phone between full 16gb and 32gb?
Thanks
Imo class 10 is the fastest SD-Class.
I'm using a 16Gb class 10 card and it's really fast.
32Gb card was (for me) too expensive...

Class 10 is the fastest micro SD card for now, but the htc engineer does not suggest that we use it because it could lead to some unknown error.
Class6 is enough.
32GB is supported by Desire S.
The purchase of the brand, Samsung is not a good choice because their indicators are virtual.
That's my personal opinion, just for reference.
I moved from a 16g class 4 to a 32g class 6 card, everything runs smoothly and didn't really notice any drop in performance.

i am using Kingston 8GB MicroSDHC Class 4...its working awesome
Toshiba 16gb class 6. No problem so far.
Got a 32 Go samsung class 10, works perfectly for me
tested via SD card tester,
average write speed 9.2 Mo/s
average read speed 11.4 Mo/s
Maybe I was lucky - but I'm happy with it
8 Gb SanDisk Class 4, works well enough but USB transfer speeds could be better
Class 4 sandisk 8gb, 5.8 write, 11 read. Thanks for the other info, I'm upgrading.
Scandisk class 10 16GB works like a charm with no problems.
Read 19.5
Write 8.6

Sandisk 32GB class 10 or Kingston
When you test a lot of roms (as beta tester), different tools or apk skinned, you need some space and faster w /rw
You could find this class of sdcard not really expensive, you must search a little.
i think people are exaggerating with these SD card classess.. my advice is that class4 and a quality brand should be enough for everyone. in fact you can have a class10 card from a noname manufacturer and the actual speed is same as class4 and a good brand. good brands are all that actually manufacture the chips. they are toshiba and sandisk/samsung. if you buy a sony, nokia or similar, you also buy those mentioned before, only rebranded. there is much written about this on the web, but in general: if you can't afford a 16gb class10 sandisk and they are trying to sell you same spec kingston for half of this price, it does mean something!
What is preferable to a Samsung Galaxy SII mobile - MicroSD card or Micro SDHC card?
No difference.

It just stands for High Capacity, which means is over 2gb. Otherwise there is no difference. When they were under 2gb some equipment wouldn't work with cards that held more room so they started designating sizes over that as SDHC so you could tell if your equipment could be compatible with the higher capacity format. Most everything now adays is compatible, though. So you can choose anyone both are same.
If you can pick up one with a high class speed

Doesn't Matter
Micro sdhc are new cards over 2gb... if you want more informations:

SDHC Vx SD
I think the SDHC it's just needed on Reflex Cameras where we need more speed to storage the photos. In our case I think the regular sdcards can handle a good performance and change for one sdhc could not bring anything new...
Sebastian,
Any card >2GB in size is a microSDHC, and >32GB is microSDXC. Most likely you'll be getting an 8GB card at least, so it'll be MicroSDHC anyway. Sometimes it happens that old microSD card adapters/phones won't function with new SDHC cards. That's explained here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#SDHC
But that's nothing to be bothered about with any phone made in the past 3 years or so. Try to get a class 6 card if possible. I have a Samsung 16GB class 6 card in my HTC Desire HD and it's performance is great. Class 10 may be overkill for normal usage and class 2 is crappy (read: the cards they supply along with the phone in the box). Class 4 or class 6 is good for normal usage, especially if you want to transfer large files to and fro.
the same funtion
it doesnt matter, u should look for its class either,
Sandisk 32gb class 6 in my razr. No need for a class 10 card.

No difference.
in my device i used a 8 gb sdhc class 10, is more reactive than class 6
Android prefers low class card btw. High class may be a little slower actually.
A class 10 is better...

wow, I don't even know that it has the same function
I thought that SDHC is better than a normal SD card, so I bought a 16GB micro SDHC for my tablet

I agree. they are typicallyu the same
Is anybody running apps2SD?
I am considering a 20 dollar 32gb class 4 and was wondering if the performance will be fast enough to run my apps off of it.
I would say get UHS-1
Your card will give you best performance when you upgrade your phone..
search sandisk UHS-1 (can't post link yet)
