I just lost my handphone nokia e51.. I want to buy the samsung i780 which is using the windows mobile.. I'm kinda curious whether I can restore my backup file from the e51 (symbian based) to the i780. I need, especially, the contact information from the backup file. Is it possible? If yes, could you provide me with the detailed information? Thanks in advance

No, you cannot restore symbian backu file to WM. What you can do is borow a symbian device, syncronise it with outlook (if you need contacts) that those contacts from outlook you can put to WM.

I have upgraded successfully my Jasjar with the Business VC v7 wm6 rom from Laurentius26 (thanks to him)
After that I have directly backuped my contacts that I saved with Spb Backup
The problem is that I can't access contacts ... Even in messages I click on Add Recipients but it can't enter... I go to SIM Manager and click Contacts to SIM but it doesn't respond...
Please help I'm a big newbie ...
Is there is any cab that I can install , or maybe reinstalling the ROM could help ???

I have my contacts backed up with Spb. How can I do to restore them after a hard reset ? (I don't know how to use Outlook ...) If you can explain me a little more it would be great
But what's wrong with SPB ? Mails and messages have been backed well...

I downloaded the Windows Mobile 6.5 Rom right from Hikey's Thread. But I'm not really satisfied with it, and I'd like to switch back to Windows Mobile 6.1 again , but I've no Idea how to do that.
I have a Second Computer running Win XP which I'm using for flashs. I also installed Active Sync 4.5..
But I have no idea where to get a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM for this Mobile Phone. I have Version 01.00.12.332.04 of the Bootloader.
Can anyone help ?

hello to all.i really need your help.i changed the rom to my hd2 from wm 6.5 to android and i can't find my contacts.the phone tells me that there is no simcontacts in.is there some program or utillity to hepl me retrieve my simcontacts?

What service provider are you using and have you synced back to computer with the original name you had it under before the update/flash.

It should already be on your TG01, and might already be on your HTC, if not install it and see if you can transfer contacts over on a microsd or microsdhc card.

Either PIM back up as suggested above or - sync TG01 contacts with exchange or google and sync back on HTC!

I always use Microsoft My Phone service.
1) Install Microsoft My Phone in your TG01. (http://myphone.microsoft.com)
2) Create an account (it's free)
3) Synchronize
4) Install Microsoft My Phone in your new device
3) Synchronize
That's all!!
