hello1
How change default program for Streaming Video in WM 6.0? and how program?
use a registry editor and access the key:
\HKCR\rtsp\Shell\Open\Command.
Change the default value from StreamingPlayer.exe to WMPlayer.exe “%1” and you should be able to view the streaming from your Windows Media player.

I am now converting my videos to mp4 format which plays great in my Touch HD's Windows Media Player Mobile. However, the videos don't show in the library - I have to hunt through menus to find File Open etc...
Is there a reg key or something I can do to make the mp4 files show up in the WMP "library" (which appears to only show WMV files by default)
hanks
Under
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\
Name:
MediaPlayerSupportFilter
String:
.wma;.wmv;.mpeg;.mpg;.asf;.qcp;.mp4
=)

I tried that but mp4 still don't show in the library. I suspect there is a library manager that searches for media and populates the library...not sure if that's the same as the reg key I justed editted...
On my Blackstone it works.
Strange
After "refresh the library" the *.mp4 Video is in the Library
I had an extra semicolon ( on the end of .mp4 so I tried removing that, and then soft resetting.
Still the same result (even after a library update). My media player library only sees the wmv files on my PPC...not the mp4 files. Are you sure there is nothing else you changed?
I store my mp4 file under \storage card\videos
Is that where yours are?
Subject tells everything. For example: I have videofile.avi and videofile.srt in the same folder. I want the media player to automaticly add the subtitle file to the video. I'm using wvga device.
I know that coreplayer can play subtitles, but I just hate that program.
If there's any alternative way to do this. Or some other program than coreplayer, please tell me.
Hi, I installed app Pocket Player to play music but when I firts opened, all my files set default Pocket Player file, and I want then to be opened with my old default program Windows Media Player, how can i set media player as my default music and video player?

You basically go to settings in Pocket Player and remove all the File Associations.
Hi,
I want have access with my vox (WM6.5 from FB) to my notebook via WLAN and network to get files or listen music (e.g. streaming mp3s with TCPMP). Is there a way to realize ?
After short google investigation I found Resco Explorer for PPC to get access to files on notebook. But smartphone version hasn't that feature.
Any idea?
Regards Odiad
you could try to stream music and videos with vlc player.
if tcmp doesn't work, maybe HTC Streaming Media Player will.
Hi Klownk,
thanks for the hint. If I am try to use HTC streaming..... and I go to "Connect" I have to fill an adress. Can you support me how to fill in:
Example:
Notebook name (in windows): Notebook
IP in private network: 192.168.1.105
Music is in: C:\Music\....... (many subfolders with music files /mp3/WMA)
Networkname (SSID): Odiadnetz
So how to fill in into adressbar of HTC-Tool ? And do I have to fill in every path of each song ? Or is there a way to browse in my music folder structure?
Or can I use the tool only for streaming in www ?
Thanks in advance
Odiad
Conduits PocketPlayer can receive (and even send!) streams. It detects available servers via UPNP. You need to have a mediaserver installed on the PC. I did this once to see if it works (it does) but I don't remember which mediaserver performed best. See http://www.conduits.com/community/forum_topics.asp?FID=19
Hi,
Was hoping to dump windows media player and make coreplayer the default player, but cant find any how to..yesI did a search.
Is there a registry hack or something?
cheers.
Bump......
Moved as not software release.
You can change the associations with most file explorers so when you click on the file it opens the program you want, CorePlayer in the settings also has the option to associate the file types you want.
