Only roms written for that specific model can be used. The roms here are not interchangable among different models of phones.

Hi all,
I´m quite happy with my qtek 9100, however I have another PDA, which is Samsung SGH i750. And is quite amazing pda, much better then qtek in several aspects.
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/samsung-i750-en.shtml
Better camera (2mp), better processor (Intel XScale PXA27x 416 MHz), remote control integrated by default and works as normal remote control, smaller, etc ... among many other stuff not available on my qtek.
But it has a HUGE backstep... it´s WM2003 SE2...
I know that Samsung already mentioned about an WM05 upgrade had been made, but nothing until now. I remember that i730 took many many months to get an official WM05 upgrade.
So i wonder if anyone have any news about updated news about Samsung i750 WM05 upgrade..
Thanks

Looking for Remote Control App
I'm looking for the Remote Control application that was included in these devices... I had the i730 back in the day, and now have the XV6800... I haven't found a Remote Application that looks halfway decent since... the native one in the Samsung phones were really, really good IMHO.
Anyone know of a way to get it?

Hi All,

working. I m pretty new to this forum.
Expecting your reply.

Thanks for the replies.
Vogue is good but it does not have a Wifi support
and also available everywhere. Thats the problem is.
Thanks,

Hi! Just asking, i cannot access mwguser forum. Is the forum still up? Possible to cook a ROM for zinc ii yet?
Anyone any idea?
I'm sure there are some users here know what's going on with mwguser forum right?
Cooked ROM for Zinc II would be awesome!
If anyone hears of it, please let me know as I as well as others have been asking. I know the unit is much more popular now that the $ is more reasonable. Once I got used to using a cooked ROM on the Atom Life, it is just not the same with a stardard "stock" ROM!
Much Appreciated......

Thanks for the help but is the Download a Thai ROM or can we use it for English? A Thia ROM won't help...Are you using the Cooked ROM and how do you like it?
one other question...Do you know what screen it is that is shown on the ZINC II adverstisement and how to get it? It is the one wiht Two Clocks, (One Large and one small) Then envelope style messaging Icons for e-mail, phone, then a Calendar at the bottom wiht a Black Background.
Many, Many thanks as I am a very NEW Zinc II user and am just getting used to it.

I'm looking to get Android on this smartphone and I haven't found too many options by searching. There seems to be a lot of momentum for HTC phones but little for others.
I've found this app which emulates it, but I'm holding out for a full-fledged flash. Any information or hope for this?

Samsung JET have a Samsung OS - so there is no way to cook a Windows Mobile ROM for it.
you mean it's impossible to replace Samsung OS with WM? I am sure it's possible. Has anyone looked into it? What are the obstacles preventing that happening. Is it fundamental?

I agree. I don't see a reason.
Saying that this is not a WM device is not valid. You can load other OS in your phone if it supports the hardware and the loader interface. If the hardware is so similar, it's a matter of analysis...
If I had one, at least I'd try to flash a OmniaII rom (phone+boot+pda).
I'll contribute $$ to the cooker that could provide such ROM for the Jet s8000.
Cheers
One more contributor here! 50USD for someone that cooks a Jet WM ROM.
I bought one to my wife. The phone is great and I would definitely have one if a Windows Mobile ROM is avaliable...
btw... it has the exact same processor and general specs as the Omnia II
About processors i'm not sure... But OMNIA II have 256Mb RAM vs 128Mb in JET. Maybe there also different radio modules (GSM/UMTS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and different video controllers.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english

i'll contribute another 50 USD if there is a winmo rom for this phone
i think there would be alot in interest here, particularly since many xda users would happily flash a WinMo rom if it were available!
I have recommended this model to my brother and he loves it, his previous phone was the N95. Now to get the Jet to WinMo!:
