hello, new to the forums. ive been using my 6700 for a couple months now and after using windmo 6.1, manilla2d, spb mobile shell, i avnt settled on which one i like best. i just came from my local verizon where i got to play with the omnia and i was wondering if the touch wiz, widget based interface has been ported to the apache.

There is a version out there for QVGA devices, just a pain in the a$$ to find it!

Does anyone know what program to use for handling wm6 Today Screen. I've seen that on the official release there is a vista like today screen. Since it's not included in any of the other releases I thought to do that using a third part soft. I tried to use Wisbar but it's not wm6 compatible. Since I'm not a fan of SPB I thought someone could give me an hand.

Which version of Wisbar did you try?? I'm using WA2 v2.8.0.2 with Faria's WM6 ROM and it's working beautifully. Also using WAD v1.2.0.9 with no problems. There's a newer version out, but these versions are working for me, so I just stuck with them.

Hello m8.
As i ve seen those BIG images in the top of the today screen belong to the smartphone version of WM6. Remember that smartphones doesnt use touchscreens, pocket pc phones do.
That why you see those differences.

am i right in thinking the pro 2 is a the same o/s as the touch HD just with a keyboard and some nice features like twin mics etc
thinking of getting one of these when released, never had a WM device but reading this forum seems it will be able to be made to just about anything i want it to do.
looking at this or the nokia N97

Initially, I believe the Pro 2 will have a WM6.1 O/S, but probably a different/upgraded version of TouchFlo... HTC has already committed to having a WM6.5 upgrade for the Pro2 when it gets the 'official' version of the 6.5 O/S.

TPro 2 can be a mixture of HD/TytnII/Universal and look great
And if wm6.5 does not come with it, I´m sure the update will be possible

Hi all I have just found my old XDA2 which has been lurking in my desk for a couple of years now with little or no use and I was wondering how I can install a later more stable OS like the newer windows etc.......I have a newer N96 which I have been using which does my phone needs but would like to make use of the XDA2 for business contacts etc and surfing the web.
Where can I download the latest windows os?

Assuming it is an XDA II, aka Himalaya, search here for newer ROMs and other goodies, Himalaya sub-forum

I absolutely love my T-mobile Shadow 07! I have a ROM for WM 6.5 Standard on it that I found on allshadow.com, it works great but I cant download the next versions e.g Neo shadow 6.5 and shadow 6.5 red etc. If anyone has any information as to a WM 6.5 ROM that works great I would like more information please. Unless you have the original shadow6.5 Roms?

Well, I tried Erofich 6.1 Rom and I did not love it at all! It seems too basic compared to Shadow 6.5! I'm flashing back to 6.5 ver 5 even knowing it has some bugs! I had ver 4 on my phone for about a week at it just started acting up! So I'm stuck! I tried to re-flash to the official 6.1 ROM from HTC but HTC has stopped supporting the 07 Shadow?!!! BOOOOO I paid $400 for this phone!!!!! I WANT THE MOST I CAN GET FROM IT! LOL "I'm net really shouting" Anyway If you have the 6.5 red/neo or neo red Roms post them here for the old school shadow lovers like me! Thanks

The best is the Stock rom, after I installed that I sold the phone on ebay and made $100 not bad. I now have a optimus T and I love my touch screen. I loved my shadow but I LOVE MODDING my optimus better.

you all know how strange it might be some requests form your boss but this is the most strange one !
My Boss has a system that work on WM 6.5 only and doesn't work on WM 7 and he requested that I should Provide him with 40 New WM 6.5 devices !
you know that they are not available currently So I figured out that I should buy new WM 7 Devices and Flash it Back to WM 6.5 !
I think theoretically this is possible but have anyone tried it ?!!!
I want to Try it on EVO Shift 4G Device , Could anyone tell me what the steps I need to do that ?
any other suggested Devices ? I only want it to be New ,with QWERTY keypad and I can install WM 6.5 on it !

Evo Shift isn't a Windows Mobile device.
Windows Mobile 7 doesn't exist, it's called Windows Phone 7 and it's an entirely different thing than Windows Mobile.
Flashing WM 6.5 isn't as easy as just putting it in and flashing like a rom, you would need to write a supportive kernel with drivers and some way get the resolution changed. This would all be hand(dedicated coder) done since the parts inside android phone's are basically generations new compared to any Windows Mobile Phone.

You can pick up Touch Pro 2's pretty cheap. They can be OC'd to almost 1gHz. I used to run mine at 900mHz all day and night. It was upgraded to WinMo 6.5 . Later on I ran Android on it for quite a while. Dual boot Android, and WinMo 6.5 . On Android it was OC'd to 1gHz stable. So you might want ot look into that. Plus they're still pretty popular, so you can get help with them.

The problem is I cannot find 40 piece of Touch pro 2 from a trusted Retailer !
If you give Sprint a call direcly. I'm sure you could get them from thier refurb department. Might even come with a warrenty. At the very least they can probably point you toward someone who can help you. Also, last time I checked the site. They still sold them new. Been a while though.
