Hey guys what are some good websites and good apps that are a MUST have when using your Fuze/Raphael??? I allready have the Gmail App and Google Maps... Give me your opinions.
Thanks
Your question could probably get as many different answers as there are users.
Beyond a couple of TouchFlo / Diamond Tweak apps, the MAIN applications am using on the Fuze are the same as used on my Axim (albeit Updated in some cases):
"Required" Productivity Apps
Pocket Informant
PhatNotes
FITALY
eWallet
Useful Productivity Apps
ListPro
PhatPad
Utilities (not Diamond/TouchFlo specific)
Resco Explorer
MemMaid
Tweaks2k2
TotalCommander (just because)
Skyfire
Apps Not Yet Ported to Fuze - but Probably Will Be
Spb Pocket Plus
Spb Diary (maybe...)
MS Streets & Trips - Pocket Streets (if it will run...)
Pocket eSword
CalcNote and/or RapidCalc
Apps that May Not make the move:
Calligrapher
Most Games (Axim has become default Game Player...)
MasterSoft Money
WebIS Money
WebIS Mail
ABDIdea
Other users, as noted, will almost certainly have different lists - or perhaps even an INVERSION of this one!
Happy App Hunting...
Bump BumpBump BumpBump Bump
Handango.com has commercial apps, but most look overpriced IMO.
On the other hand, one sometimes gets what they pay for at http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/
Some of the free apps are really terrific like S2U2, but there are some real stinkers posted there as well. READ THE USER COMMENTS FIRST!
Live Search Mobile. I love the Speech Recognition, it works darn good man.
Never mind searching; if you simply visit the "raphael software" forum here you'll see this excellent resource:

Question answered, lots of threads like this already, as such closing this one.

Hi!
I'm searching for a software for personal finance management.
I've found several, but this 3 seem to be the most well ranked:
- Spb Finance
- Cash Organizer
- Mastersoft Money
Have you ever used any of this, are they user friendly, practical?
What is your experience with these software?
Which one do you recommend?
I don't want anything complicated.
I just want to control my day by day spending.
Where do I spend most, where can I save, etc...
Can you help me make up my mind...
Thanks!
I've used CashOrganizer for more than 3 years now. I has a great planning / schedule feature that automatically loads repetitive expenses or deposits into the corresponding account as required, a project category system and great report (and fast) generation. I don't sync the data with a computer, but it says it can do it. I have about 10 accounts with at least a year's worth of transactions and it runs very well. I would improve the gui a bit because it is sometimes hard to read. They also have good / fast service via email. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the answer.
Have you ever tried any of the other apps?
Or have you always used cashorganizer?

No. I 've only used Cash Organizer. I haven't tried the others.
I haven't ever tried those 3, but I have Quicken on my notebook, so I use PocketQuicken, works very well!
No problems with Spb Finance here.....
I've been a user of both spb Finance and CashOrganiser.
I use CashOrganiser 8 which I sync with Microsoft Money 2005 on a vista PC with no problems. It's quick, reliable and the reports are useful.
I went over to CO because I had numerous sync problems with spb Finance. This was a couple of versions ago and they have had a major update recently for Vista compatability.
Best bet is to get each of them on a free trail and try for yourself.

Hi!
I've been testing the apps for the past days and I've decided to go with Cash Organizer.
It really seems to be the most complete, friendly and atractive one.
Thanks for helping!
I use SPB for the past two years. I really like it but I do not sync with any desktop applications.
Cash Organizer even for multiple PDAs
I've tried them all, since they did away with MS Pocket Money.
I have had syncing problem with SPB.
I have used the Cash Organizer for several years now and though not perfect, I like it the best.
The bad: Very little Customer support, if it's questions or problems they don't want to deal with.
Upgrading: had great personal support from the developer!
The good: Easy to use.
Will sync 2 or more PDAs, so we run the same software and just sync up in the evening through MS Money. Great way to keep our finances straight!
Have tried the demo of
- Spb Finance
- Cash Organizer
and I preffer Cash Organizer
I will but it once they bring the feature to add notes from the express screen
OK everyone, so I have put on one these iPhone Themes for Pocket PC
I searched around the internet as they are all pretty similar and want to know which one runs best.
A lot of forums say www.windowsmobileiphone.com so I might try that one cause the one that I have is running really slowly on my MDA
Let me know what your thoughts and experiences are
Try the free ones.
Regards,
Carty..
The Package includes the following:
...
- Youtube and Internet
This made my day. Yeah, try the free ones.
Some of those things in that pay package or freeware right? is it legal for them to be making people pay for that stuff?
Anywho...
iFonz with one of the high res 52 pixel icon packs is very pretty / functional. Raise the icon size to 52. Replace all of the icons with pretty stuff. Remap all of the shortcuts to whatever programs you want. Add pages if need be. I have a weak 208mhz TI OMAP850 chip and it takes about 45 seconds to load but runs well after that. I load it up when someone wants to play with my phone but is only impressed by pretty icons or too stupid to use windows mobile (I even set mine up with desktop icons with cLaunch!!).
S2U2 covers the unlock screen.
That should be about all you need to be generally passable. Make sure you get all of the latest versions of each of those programs though. The latest ones work the best and run the fastest.

Don't pay a cent for this crap - it is all freeware - most of which is available on this XDA Site - go and download S2U2 - S2P and S2V by AC - IPhonz from this site - WMP skins, Calc skins, IWeather, Pocket CM Keyboard - Icontacts, some skins for your dialer and IPhone Icons and you will be good to go and free. These people are charging for freeware and not giving credit to the authors of the software - Please do not support them. If you have already paid - You should demand your money back.

You may also want to look up (use XDA search at top of page to find the rest or explore the development and hacking section of this site here

Throttle Launcher (free) or Ultimate Launch (free trial) (worth paying for)
Rumballs Weather Panel theme on XDA also (very cool) (not iphone style but animated weather is very cool
this is a start
Repeat - Please don't support these crooks who are selling other peoples apps and not giving credit.
The real developers do not charge for their apps; however, accept donations if you like their work and want to support further development. We almost already lost A_C and Mr. SSJ5trunks (IPhonz Developer) because of these crooks - If you paid for it - you should demand your money back - Probably won't get it back though since they are crooks.
"is it legal for them to be making people pay for that stuff?"
it's legal for people to try and sell sand in sahara
noticed theres no contact page for that site, there must be a way of shutting it down

Depends on who owns the sand I guess if there is no copyright though
Probably been posted before but I find its nice to get a fresh new post every now and then.
Well I'm impatiently waiting for my new HTC Kaiser as I'm upgrading from an HTC Magician so I'm looking at sprucing it up as soon as I get it. I know how programs get outdated and replaced so often in the WM world and I havn't updated my Magician in a long time. All I had was spb diary & weather, AE Button, cl launch, pocket agenda on my Magician and it did the trick but nowadays it seems so rudementry especially compared to my girlfriends new iphone lol...
I'm not looking to make an exact clone of the iphone, but to steal some of its more useful features such as kinetic scrolling and finger swipes and gestures to make my phone more appealing and finger friendly for day to day use. So far I've found a few very nice efficient and free programs such as icontact and slide2unlock, and some others you have to pay for like SPB Mobile Shell 3 and Vito Winterface, as well as Opera and Skyfire browsers.
Are there any other good programs along these lines? What would you guys suggest? Such as media players and such, as well as game emulators (Big reason why I bought the Kaiser, hope it doesn't let me down!). I can't wait for my Kaiser to finally come in so I can mod the crap out of it. I'd like to remove most traces of the ugly default windows mobile look without bogging my Kaiser down too much.
Thanks!
I cant imagine why an HTC/WM owner should want his/her device look like iphoney...
But in case you want to, have a look on developing & hacking section there are plenty of them

No not to just look like one, mainly to add its finger friendly interface, the iphones gesture based system is the way mobile touchscreen phones should be as far as I'm concerned, very intuitive, but without the iphones limitations, as for looks I would make it look quite different than an iphone as most WM programs are re-skinnable and very modable.
The problem is knowing WM I'll need a nice set of programs to have a fully touch friendly phone, as in phone/texting, contacts, pim, launchers, media, browsers, today plugins, office. So I'm just looking for the best ones atm, I love icontact for one and spb mobile shell 3 looks like it covers most of the others.

Ok
Now I understand
Have a look on the section I told you and if you need any special app I can help you to find it
I´m agree with you
WM for itself is not very good, but with several apps you can have a great device!
can we use this thread for useful applications.
whether its tools to customize or certain programms. There are a lot of people who didn't own one of the latest HTC devices, thus they don't have a clue about the names of certain apps.
Those who do, could help them to install the right tools for their needs.
Too Right
we need load of appz for this phone like the iphone has. we must use the multitouch on board and develop loads of application for the HD2. So all you programmers out there get busy when the device comes out and give us some mega apps for this mega phone
the only MUST-HAVE app for me (and I've always had a few that I really like to have) is PhoneAlarm,
this is the best program I have ever found for conserving that all important battery life.
it allows you to set profiles and then switch to these profile based on time, gps location etc. The result is that you can switch things on and off as you need them (bluetooth, wifi, etc etc) which results in minimal power being used when you don't need the things turned on. for example, I have mine set to switch to flight mode at 12pm and then turns back on at 6.30am, this means my phone is effectively off at night (using virtually no power) and switches back on in the morning without me having to do anything. Why not just turn the phone off I hear you ask, well because if I did that I couldn't use the alarm to wake me up in the morning, and I would have to suffer the reboot time (which, lets be honest, isn't great is it)
and it's cheap to buy,
Please developers can we have an app like painting. an app that lets you paint like on the iphone, my little girl is crazy for that. I think the app is called "Brushes" just take a look at theses pics
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...i-masterpieces-finger-painting-new-level.html
I can realy seccond that!
My brother who is a iPhone user showed me lots and lots of nice apps making life easier and fun.
Prisjakt för example is a nice app that scans the thing you want to buy in a store and tells you the best price close to where you are.
Many many apps like this made me a bit confused wither i should still go WM or go over to the dark side... nah...
And why not a Mafia Wars app for WM as well?
Also include Sprite Backup for any kind of backups we may perform on our Leo's prior to flashing
Essentials for me are:
Resco contact manager (dont know with the new sense)
Pocket irc
SPB pocket plus & spb weather (dont know with the new sense)
Mypersonaldiet & MyPersonalTraining (Gym rat)
Resco explorer, because the WM explorer is a ****.
pocket player (good music player)
HiCalc
Tomeraider 3 (wikipedia offline)
Lexisgoo dictionary
ThumbCal
Coreplayer
Vito Audio Notes
Touch Pal (the best keyboard)
Pocket clock pro (best alarm and date/hour software so far)
SpaceTime 3.0 (maths)
PhatPad (to take notes, but I think that will be unusable in a capacitive screen)
SkyFire
Background all tabs...
I had touch hd and all tabs background was a very good app!
Thank's!
two apps I'd love are an ebay app and sky TV app....but no sign of such things anywhere...except on the iphone and since I can't wait to get rid of the stupid thing, I will have to suffer the lack of these two.
I also will have
Resco Registry Editor
Resco Explorer
Schapps Advanced config (assuing it will work on the HD2)
SPB Wireless (for tracking my internet usage)
SPB Time (as silly as it sounds, I found the snooze on WM too small when I'm half awake in the morning)
Resco Photo viewer (for editing images so I can send them via MMS)
I'd add Total Commander, enabling to change/overwrite system-files (such as the weather_cities.xml for other locations)
Generally I'd also really like to see such an variety of free apps for HTC devices as for the iPhone, cos I really don't want to buy such a piece of fruit, but the advantages keep growing...
I'm a Touch Cruise user, and really reading with suspense the first user-reports on the HD2, hoping it'll not be such a disappointment than my TC, but I fear I'll be disillusionned again from what I'm reading till now...
the sad thing is, there are a whole bunch of apps on the iphone that are free, and yet I would gladly PAY for them if they were on WM.
Cool needed Apps
okey, here we go,
Paint like VS paint or Vs Note pad,
Media like Core player, SPB TV or Dimond TV,
Games like Sky force, and Emulators like nes snes + Roms
barcode reader + step counter or pedometer etc...
Comic Reader Mobi
My single favourite app is Comicreader Mobi which makes comics look bloody awesome on the HD2!
I also use Kinoma Play.
* Resco Keyboard Pro.
Improves typing A LOT on the sensitive HD2 screen (due to the fact that it doesn't allow to change a character once you pressed one on the keyboard)
* Pocket Player with this skin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563410
(no more fooling around with the buggy "Audio Booster", ust use the built-in EQ of Pocket Player. Better liberary browsing etc. )
Finger Keyboard 2.1 *free*
Batti 2.1 *free* (I love to be able to see my battery level as a thin bar on the top of the screen)
HTCaddicts CleanRAM 1.8 *free* The best RAM cleaner there is
Microsoft Voice Command (incredibly useful when driving)
SPB Newsbreak (Using this allows me to save so much time as opposed to using a browser alone)
TouchOff 0.5.0 *free* (For simple soft rests)
Touch response *free* (To enable more haptic feedback options)
SPB Traveller (For conversions, currency rates, etc)
Crackwhore's old style snooze options *free* (cause I simply cant use one fixed snooze alarm... this takes it back to the old style of being able to set the set the snooze length of time)
Coreplayer
Advanced Config Tool 3.3 *free*
Dutty's HTC task manager *free*(I really still cant let go of hit x to close apps)
Ewallet (for easy secure access to all my passwords, logins and other sensitive info)
Thanks to the others that have posted, I am keen to check out Comicreader Mobi too and a couple of other apps.
Sorry! Double post!
Must-haves for anybody:
SPB Shell
SPB Keyboard
One of: Resco File Explorer, Total Commander or similar
SPB Keyboard fixes all problems with HD2 keyboards, and SPB Shell is more practical IMO than the TouchFlo 3D interface.
Must haves for tweakers:
SKTools
Advanced Configuration
There's a lot of other good software I could list (e.g. TCPMP), but not everyone wants or needs them, so I don't consider them "must haves".

Do you know of any free alternative to that comic book reader app. I`d love to be able to read comics on my HD2 (for which I`m waiting eagerly(I`m from Romania btw)).
for me: Zooomer - I really like this tool

Trust me, none of them match up to this. It's worth the cost to be able to view the whole page full screen and tap on a bubble to zoom it to readable size! Plus, there's a free desktop version!
As per the title, what's the killer app(s) you recommend for Leo please?
Would a Mod class as an App? If so, Co0kies home tab!
coOkies - and now the thread can be closed best app ever
- Sprite Backup (the most important app!)
- Cookie's Home Tab
- BsB Tweaks (even though I don't use it )
- WiFi toggle cab
- Bluetooth toggle cab
- CorePlayer
- any registry editor
- SkyFire browser
- PhoneAlarm 2.32
These are the must-haves to start with IMO.
Thanks for the input folks, i have to say co0kie's really is the business, even though it's an interface mod as opposed to an app, and i just love it, but my question relates strictly to 'apps'
Appreciate everyone's taste and opinion on what they class as a killer app...
I'll be checking out the ones i've not tried
Thanks

hmmmmm.... yeh ok m8
Ok, strickly apps...
BsB Tweaks
Opera Mobile 10
Resco File Explorer
G-Alarm
Fpsece, I just can't stop playing Street Fighter EX2 . Other suggestions:
co0kie's mod
Swype with Lesscro skin
iGo8
G-profile
In fact there are loads of things on my HD2 which I think are killer and as a bonus it makes and receives phone calls, yes phone calls how amazing is that lol.
Fpsece 0.10 (supporter version for maximum impressiveness)
Crayon Physics
Pocket Sand (dont like to use on HD2 as much as I did on HD, stylus owns)
Opera 10
Resco Suite
Oh yea, and Swype. Funny because I thought it was a stupid concept at first, but after using it, I can't use anything else haha.
The best app on my Device is that i can Phone with it
No, Cookie´s is the best!
Netflix
If you have a netflix account i would say that Netflix Mobile is a great app to manage your Q and it even lets you see previews of the movies right on the phone
LMT - Gesture Launcher - best app for task switching and various other functions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629263
S2U2 & S2P
APMobile
Resco Photo Manager (paid)
SPB Time (paid)
I second LMT Launcher and add GarishKernels Egress 4.1 (RSS reader)
FpseCE best app ever!
It does bug me that most of the killer apps people mention are tweaks and mods over useful/fun apps, still...
s2p player as a music player
G-Remote as a remote control for my Media Server TV
CorePlayer (altho a similar app really should have come included)
AlReader - ebook reader
HD2tweak
Chainfire 3d patch
Freda
S2U2+s2p
tcpmp
Cookies
garmin/igo/copilot/tomtom/navigon all great on hd2, just pick your one.
oh yeah -phone.exe and htc_messaging with exchange support
Reading this has actually made me realise I don't actually have many apps at all!
But the ones I use most and couldn't live without are...
TomTom Navigator 7
Skyfire (with tvcatchup.com bookmarked for Freeview on the go! (I'm sure O2 will be telling me to moderate my data usage soon!))
UK Live Rail Departures (for my job!)
Nanogroove/Scilor's GrooveMobile
YouTube (even though it's built in...use it all the time!)
WebVideoDownloader (WVD)
WinMobile Torrent
And that built in "cprog.exe" process is quite good because it enables you to make calls on it as well....I know, shocking! But try it, it works. Press the send key and a keypad comes up with the numbers of all you friends and you can speak to them with it. But don't go telling everyone. It's a big secret.
Here are my must-haves that have been with me since my HP PDA:
eWallet
TomTom
ListPro
PhatNotes
1Calc
I'm not counting utilities like PocketMechanic and others. Necessary though they may be, I figured you were talking about productivity, not maintenance.
I'd opened a similar thread, but most of the wm apps is for customizing the phone.
Thanks for the replies guys, keep 'em coming please... all welcome
Some of these i'm aware of but i haven't tried many at all yet. I'd much rather get decent experienced opinions first instead of whacking allsorts on my HD2, only to uninstall later...
I see no-one has mentioned MSS Converter, which I myself class as a killer. The amount of conversions this app can do is just excellent. A must have AFAIC
Thanks again
