Just getting into the whole phone modification thing and wanted to know how can I make my Wing take full advantage of the TL,TFLO experience?I`ve downloaded the cabs and installed them but its not the same.I want to get the flipping photos and the music player that has the album art and songs and stuff, can ya help a brutha out
TouchFLO2D (AKA Manila2D) doesn't have flipping pictures.
TouchFLO3D (which has the flipping pictures) can't run on your device.
ThrottleLauncher doesn't have the flipping pictures either...
all of those 3 have support for Album Art

Anyone ever think of creating an audio player that emulates the iphones 'album art' mode? I think thats an awesome feature and amazed nothing similar as been imitated.
Check this out:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xTHpwYkv45g
Dont even think there is a current audio player that incorporates album art of the songs being played, is there? was hoping there was one out that looked like this:
http://mylostblog.altervista.org/?p=79
but that skin apparently doesn't even allow album art, something similar would look awesome.
Hmmm, audio players for the smartphones, there arn't many! There is a however cover flow developments (only for ppc thou), an iphone coverflow like program is discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358049&highlight=PictureFlow. It works really well scrolling images, but no one yet has to implement this into an audio player, and I can see it going to touchscreen first, then over to our smartphones. If one gets created at all that is. So far i've stuck with tcpmp for videos and a skinned version of wmp for music. There is a nice version of Pocket Player thou, which shows you your album art (very small picture of it in the corner), but nothing that matches an iphone, as yet anyway. It's all we can do for now lol. If I find anything I will post it thou.

appreciate it! everyones been telling me about a nicely skinned pocket player one, would you have a link on how it looks? does pocket player use less resource than WMP10? i hope someone does work on a player with album art, just makes the whole thing look a whole lot better .
WMP can show album art, just load it with PC version of WMP and then copy the whole folder into your phone.. In Dr. Martin Gonzo's ROM thread you can see some screenshots

would you know which page exactly?
so been doing some digging, and i ran into this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358049&highlight=music
now thats exactly what i was hoping for, it looks awesome. mind you its still in development and so i contacted teh developer to see his vision on the final product. i'll keep you updated, but theres a small video in the thread, check it out, something we should keep our eye on.
It seems to be the music library in TF3D is missing a vital component - with 16gb cards now available it is possible to store a large number of tracks (I have > 2500). Scolling through all songs/ albums/ artists etc in the library just doesn't cut it when you have that many tracks.
What is required is something like the alphabet bar to the right of the screen in Contacts (and where you add cities in the Weather tab), so you can quickly go to tracks starting with the right letter, and then scroll from there.
Is something like this possible? If not, it seems like a silly ommission by HTC as they have implemented the same kind of thing in other areas of the phone.
Any ideas?
Seriously - no-one else has a problem with this?
Mine won't even find the tracks on the memory card let alone require the need to search through hundreds of them!
All I have are the four HTC demo ones... even tho I've got loads of tracks on the memory card, the only way I can play them is by using WMP rather than the TF3D Library
Works fine for me here.
Have HTC spanish 1.90 official ROM, and an Sandisk SD 6Gb Class4 microSD card.
I have around 250-300 files in MP3/WMA format inside SD\MY Documents\Musica and have no problem using from TF3D.
I have some files in SD\Seleccion\Ringtones in MP3/WAV/WMA format and this files appear in TF3D Music too.
I'm waiting for my new 16Gb microSD card, so probably i put thousands music files into the SD and report back here what's going.
Cheers
do you have to have album art for the tunes to show in the TF3D music app or does it have a placeholder for mp3's without album art attached?

I don't have a solution to this problem, but I got the problem as well...
Right, so this thread seems to have moved on to people who can't get the TF3D player to recognise their music. There are plently of other threads about that - please check them out.
I have no problems using the player whatsoever - all 2500+ tracks are showing in TF3D, and I even got all the album art sorted out. If I only had a couple of hundred tracks there would be no issue at all. The problem is that with so many tracks TF3D is a pain to navigate through - if you want to find a track that starts with the letter Z it takes forever to scroll to it in the library.
I was hoping some enterprising soul with a bit of programming knowledge could develop something similar to the alphabet bar in Contacts (and where you add cities in the Weather tab), so you can quickly get close to where you want to be, and then scroll from there.
Does that make sense? Anyone know whether that might be possible?

Sorry, I think you're just not understanding what I'm saying. I have no problem at all with files and album art etc being recognised by the AudioManager. The problem I have is that when there are thousands of tracks, then navigating through them is a right pain, and I was hoping someone could come up with a better way of doing it.

I have been wondering this as well. I know that HTC produced the Random Access addon for Contacts. Does anyone know - or anyone able - to see if this could be made available for the audio manager?
Yes, I'm frustrated by this too. It would be nice to have the music in the tab, but it would be better to have a great little media player. Any reccomendations?
ya im frustrated by it too. i basically just use that tf3d player for random/shuffle playing.
if i want a specific song ill just navigate to it through file explorer.
kind of a PIA but oh well. maybe they will update it later on.
Audio manager long list issue
I am having same issue. With about 400 albums in my music audio manager there seems no way to scroll thru the list quickly. Hope someone tries and comes up with some kind of solution.
Hello,
I just wanted to play recoded videos on htc album. I have already installed mhubvo, fps and dshow but still cannot play. When I open video files from manila 2d the screen will became fully black, I know its due to missing files but don't know which.
Please help..........
Solution : wmp_WPC_disabled_Xx240.gif, wmp_WPC_ocx_96dpi.gif, wmp_WPC_pushed_Xx240.gif, wmp_WPC_SeekThumb_96dpi.gif and wmp_WPC_ocx_96dpi.skn.
These files are related to htc album for playing videos. So some cooker may delete these files while cooking ROM's.
Anyway; If you are not a cooker then install the attached cab and enjoy.
Note: dshow, mhub/vo and fps are must.
Thanks and regards
I have the same problem. Does anyone have a solution?
I researched it a lot but it doesnt works on most custom roms. To test it, I ported an opal rom on my gene with everything intact, just removing some unnecessary things like rss hub etc to make it fit on gene. THe ROm worked with everything working including the startup animation but even then, videos didn't played in album and photos and videos tab of manila. mHubVO was working as i could use youtube app and streaming media. After spending a week's night time (whole nights ) i became frustrated and left the issue as it is.
i think I remember something about having to have youtube installed....
I'll do a test to see if it works. Thanks.
@kaiserII101: As i have already told, youtube is installed, mHubVO is installed as well as DirectShow 2.0 and FullScreenPlayer 1.5. You tube is working, streaming media is working, videos are playing fine in Windows Media Player (all of em) but HTC Album still cannot play video, dont know what the heck is wrong with it

Dam, Dont you just hate it when threads get abandoned just as there getting interesting
Two questions:
1. Is it possible to increase the size of the cover art in the HD2's standard coreplayer in portrait orientation? Seems a waste to have such a a beautiful big screen and such small artwork. Alternately, is there some other player which is attractive and has big artwork?
2. Is there some tweak or cab which adds alphabetical scrolling down the side of the artist/album/etc. lists in the coreplayer? Just like in the standard contacts app... takes a really long time to get to Z in a big list of albums.
I bet someone can tweak question no. 2 into existence...
Laser, u have the same concern with me. I'm worry why untill now, HTC seems forgetting Music tab's annoyce that there is no alphabet scroll in library. It made me very tired to scroll down to choose my favorite song (which start by letter T for example)
As most already know since kitkat (i belive) all the media that is playing or streaming shows a cover in the lockscreen
In this case im talking specifically of music album art; the problem that i have is that the lockscreen shows an extremly blurry image of the album im playing (as you can see in the screenshots);
Even tho i have embedded the image using MP3tag on the PC.
Even when the image is 1500 x 1500
Also tried replacing the files that are automatically created in the android/data/com.android.providers.media/albumthumbs (which i belive don't have anything to do with the lockscreen.. now that i think about it)
And yet im unable to make the lockscreen display the album art at full quality! That's all i want.
Anyone know if android stores an image that is use to be displayed in the lockscreen while playing something? So that way i could probably replace them one by one with the high res images.
Thank you in advance, i have been in the forums for quite some time now but today is the first time i post a new thread
PD: I'm using Cyanogenmod14 on my Moto E 2015 and using stellio as main music player; but also tried stock and Google play with same result.
