Hello,
does anyone know how to change the captions of the menu in HTC-Album 2.5?
Currently the titles doesn't match to the functions, so i have to rename captions.
btw: is there any newer version of HTC-Album for qvga? I found version 3 but only for vga...
Thanx a lot!

Hi guys,
I just bought a htc touch diamond 2. I wanted a different theme on it so I downloaded en installed Manila 2D and aplied the theme I wanted through the usual channels, but after I did that the Touch Flo was gone, the only thing the phone displayed was agenda and contacts, the start menu also went back to just a drop down menu. I did a hard reset to set it back into default settings but why didn't it work?
You may need to go to settings> today > Items (tab at the bottom) > Check the TF3d box.
but is it even possible at all to use manila 2D on the D2?
Edit: I did what you told and it was the TD3D that was dissabled. Thanks
i'm lost. did you want TF3D or M2D?

Is it possible to replace the clock in HD2 for a large analogue one like Hero - but WITHOUT changing anything else on the home screen?
Thanks.
Try max manila.
I had a look at this but the MaxTTM does not seem to work with HD2 to add analogue clocks and other bits(or I'm doing something wrong) and Max Manilla has only one analogue clock. Thanks anyway.
Max Manila has more analog clocks, there is an onscreen toggle which allows you to choose between multiple analog clocks and layouts. Download the Max Manila from the 5th post of the thread ("Max Manila 2.519202525 Ultimate - v2.5 (for latest manila 2.5)". Also read that 5th post and you will understand how it works.
However, installing Max Manila won't *just* change the clock. It is a complete package that allows customizations and enhancements from within the Manila interface itself.
Max Manila 2.519202525 Ultimate - v2.5 is not built for the Manila that is available in the ship LEO rom, it is meant for an older version of the Manila interface, and it is therefore a little buggy on the LEO. EDIT: Is not that buggy at all, it works great. Read two posts down to see why it was buggy at first. The Manila that is included on the Leo/HTC HD2 is 2.5.19211619.0. Version 2.6 of Max Manila will support this newest Manila build, and Max Manila 2.6 is not out yet. Soon.
MaxTTM is a tool to further customize Manila, but how it exactly fits into this story I do not know - I just figured all of this out myself this night too
Thank you very much for the detailed info. so all the "components" available for download will not work on Leo, as they need MaxTTM to utilise ? as some good analogue clocks are available only as components... the default analogue with Max Manila is a bit naff.
I believe all the extras/addons/components that you can find for Manila 2.5 (this post has a list of most, if not all, of them - only use the blue ones. Also check this thread, it contains the same list of hacks) require you to have Max Manila installed on top of your Manila. To use some of the clock replacements etc you indeed have to use MaxTTM to put them in your Manila.
On a sidenote, Max Manila won't work well when you have done custom Sense/Manila 2.5 tweaks which can be found on various xda-developers LEO pages. For example you have to remove the "22. Change Your Quicklinks from 9 to 16 Slots" tweak (link) before you install Max Manila. Probably other standalone Manila tweaks won't work well with Max Manila either.
As a matter of fact the current Max Manila 2.5 is not buggy at all on the LEO. I thought it was because I had used some standalone tweaks for Manila, which are not compatible with Max Manila. Remove all of them before installing Max Manila and Max Manila will work great, all or most of those tweaks are built-in Max Manila anyway - so you don't have to loose a thing.
Can't wait for Max Manila 2.6 which is supposed to be even a lot better!!
To complete the story, I have to mention HDWall, it is a tool to create custom wallpapers for Manila, and to change the icons on the tabs. Also there is a thread with a collection of wallpapers. I don't know whether this will work without Max Manila, I think it will.
*removed*.
*removed*.
Thank you again mate, its getting clearer now, I did have individual tweaks like "number of icons" etc installed before installing MaxManila ! One more question..which MaxTTM works with Leo (with latest rom) as I previously installed latest 4.1 and kept crashing just before executing changes. but this may have been todo with me having installed individual tweaks prior like you mentioned?
I don't know about that, I haven't gone so far as to actually use MaxTTM. I got my LEO just a few days ago and I have had all the time in the world the last few days, so I've been busy investigating everything and playing
Ok, seems that MaxTTM definately does not work with HD2, and apart from that app, I cant find another way of installing different clocks/components.
I just saw MaxTTM uses .NET 3.5
Did you install that, and did you do the necessary registry change to use it?
13. Install Compact Net Framework 3.5 to Make Old Apps Work Again
Some apps you may have used on another phone will not work on the Leo unless you install Compact Net Framework to your phone. Download the cab from the following link and install to Device only - not Storage Card and then reset. http://justpctech.com/PPC/NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab Also make sure your phone is using the 3.5 as default and not 2.5. Go here: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/.NETCompactFramework. Change the DWORD data of entry 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0. Next Change the DWORD data of entry 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1 and then reset. This disables 2.0 and enables 3.5.

yes but keep getting Unexpected Error in MaxTTM
I've started another thread along the same lines as this one. Is there a way of installing Rolex, Tag or Omega analog/dual clocks as a standalone cab. I don't want to install MaxManila as I have a number of different reg tweaks that I don't want to uninstall or change. I found this cab that allows me to install a Rolex, but I can't install my 16 Quicklinks app afterwards.
Is there any way I can have both analog clocks and 16 Quicklinks without MaxManila or any other type of software?
Thanks

Hi there
Try reviewing this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551489
It is very long but the first 20 or so posts will give you the basics.
Please also not that the theming app this is related to is now being developed for Manila 2.5 + and that user of Manila 2.1 (I am one) need to be careful in terms of making sure that you pick the correct .CAB to download as one for Manila 2.5 will not work on a TD2 running Manila 2.1.
What you need is the Max Manila 2.1919xxx Ultimate - v1.0.cab which you will find attached to post #5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4387068&postcount=5).
But remember whilst uninstallable always back up you data just in case.
Hope that helps?
Happy reading.

Hi guys, i'd realy like to know which path leads to the "alarm" menu (the right slider in the clock menu, which you can access through tipping on the clock on homescreen (manila 2.1, wm 6.5).
I need the filepath, to set it up on the right softkey on manila homescreen.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks...
Sascha
P.S.: I don't need instructions how to edit the softkeys, i know how to proceed in the registry.

\Windows\Clock.exe will get you to the same screen as when you click on the clock but not sure how to default to Alarm tab.
All right, thanks so far for this hint, but it actually gets me to the "windows" clock settings - due to the nice look of manila / sense / tf3d (whatever), i would prefere to get to the manila style clock settings (alarm settings).
Anybody else an idea?
Sascha

I don't think it can be done because manila uses a series of Mode9 files for one CPL, so there are multiple files for that function.
Another option would be an external program like G-Alarm.
Okay... that's why nowhere else on the net I found an answer...
Thank you though...
Feature Settings
If it's a *.cpl file it's accessible! See my post and within it several links to more information about accessing Feature Settings via *.LNK files...
In the xda wiki there's a link for the Windows Alarms.

It just needs some more investigation <g>

As Sascha stated, "i would prefere to get to the manila style clock settings (alarm settings)." not the windows CPL, which as I stated can be achieved by linking to Clock.exe
You can't link the Manila Alarm UI to a softkey.
Nice tutorial though.
how to change themes
and
does this change tf3d or just its colour
Windows themes which are top and bottom bars are under Settings\Today\Themes.
For TF3D you have to find Manila themes that are compatible with your version.
How do I find out which version I have?

First;
Manila (HTC Sense) is the multi-tabbed UI that is selected in Settings\Today\Items.
In manila if you have;
Program tab = Manila 2.1
Programs on home tab = Manila 2.5
Then you search the forums for themes and tweaks for your version
One thing you will find is that not all manila 2.1 or 2.5 (whichever the case may be) will work because there are different builds within these, eg, 2.5.2011.....
Try going to your settings tab and see if you have "software" and check there.
For themes;
If its a .cab file installation and it doesn't work, you just have to uninstall it.
If its a tweak that requires you to replace files, find the original files in Windows folder first and back them up to avoid a hard reset.
You can find Windows 6.1 or 6.5 themes that will change your system colors and fonts, top and bottom Bars. Manila themes will only change the Manila UI interface, tab icons, clocks, etc.
Hope this helps.
