No cabs for manila as it must be cooked into the ROM.

Which is better is subjective. 2.53 is the latest, so... the greatest?
Search for disable HTC messaging to find that fix.

You just copy the Sense 2.1.1920.3317 for WM6.1.cab to your device and install to device, but I doubt it will work.
I believe you need to flash a new ROM with 2.5 for it to work properly.

Why not flash a rom which contains both? I am using Googyrom which has both and work great. Check it out in the roms section.
Thank you for the info - Bruce. Since I am a noobee - am afraid to tackle something like this unless I'm sure I'll have a clean install without hitches or bricking my phone.
The reason for my wanting to upgrade to Sense 2.5 is that I'd like to install the GTX Sense 2.5 Theme - Wht BG/ Blk Text.
Looks like I've no other option but to flash a Rom With Sense 2.5 - Just to install the GTX theme. Now the question is which Rom? Can you recommend one?
PS. Maybe I should post this Q in the GTX Theme Thread

Energy has a GTX themed ROM but its 6.5.
Here is a link to one 6.1 w/Sense 2.5, there may be a couple more, just search.

Thankyou very much. Guess Most probably tomorrow I'll be holding a Topaz with Winmo 6.1, Sense 2.5 with GTX Theme.
All thanks to you, Bruce - Hv finally DONE it! Installed Energy Rom 6.5.5 with Standard Sense 2.5 and topped it with GTX theme and Dark Ninja Taskbar. Looks pretty awesome.

you could have added the original arabic keyboard in sense 3 roms (like sensation ara rom) for those who are interested.unless it's already in this patch

i made a patch for sensations rom (virtuous unity,rcmix ...) before but after install it , wifi signal pull down so i didnt publish it
and you dont have to put all framework folder files in your patch (like my arabic patch for 2.50.405.2) , just put framework.jar in it and also no need to browser.apk in app folder
you can reduce size of patch to 9.5 mb!!!

thanks man,i pm you asking for help about that but u didn't answer me,
i just copied the file(same as rtl by leedroid) but taken from 1.34 base (arabic one)
i didn't not want to include the htc_ime ,but it keep showing force close without it(its another 9 mg)
and about the browser,i tried without it,but got some lag in the address line(address line showed twice)
about the wifi,its not that different,but the signal keep turning up and down(but that doesn't affect the speed or the range)
i'll try again taking ur advice and i will test it

on virtuous unity mate v1.29 it's working for the mail, web, Facebook and messages, etc (Arabic language).
i will test it on virtuous unity v1.31 after i flash it (still downloading)

this shud not happen wipe data cache and dalvik-cache and flash again..then at that time only flash gapps..again wipe data and reboot..!!
wait for 5 mins to boot...then first reboot is must..!!!
reboot by ur self and enjoy the rom..!!!

At first you should make a backup from SystemUI and framework-res by ES File Explorer or etc.
For restoring to original one, you can install both file at same time...

thanks ,, after trying for 8 hours i think that there is a bug with mobile network even 2g or 3g ,, the icon is connected and the connection stopped !

There are a lot of differences between HTC and Samsung's' phones.
to S-OFF you need XTC-Clip which is an expensive hardware... you can give your phone to a service center to S-OFF ChaCha for you.
you can download CWM from here : [Updated 02-05-12] ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.8 port for the HTC Chacha. this thread is extremely obvious and everyone can understand what @Moody want to say...
before all of things that I said above at first you should unlock boot-loader following : htcdev

* or any important stuff ..
which must not create any bug ..

all these i hv mentioned .. myt not creat any bug if created such custom rom based on stock ..

The links that i mentioned are the last and best versions for chacha...
For going back to Stock ROM you should make a backup from Stock by "CMW"...
About s-off and s-on,it don't effect your installation... but I prefer to install ROMs on a s-off HTC device.
And making a ROM -in which you talk about it- is possible but not too easy...
