Deleting Fat32 and Ext4 part of SD Card with Gparted

Hi,
I have one question, for the new cyanogen mod update 4.2.15.1 I deleted the Ext4 part of my SD card with Gparted and installed everything new. Now I saw that I still have my old pictures on the phone. If I want to delete everything (no old stuff on the phone any more) do I need to format the Fat32 folder as well? Will I have problems with the phone after that or is after the installation of the DRC83_base_defanged.zip everything runs smooth?
Maybe someone could help me with that, I don't wanna delete datas from the phone (fat32 part) what I couldn't install later.

First of all, what does this have anything to do with android development? Can you post in the right section?
Second, your topic tells us what you did. Ok..
You still the old pics on your phone cause it's on another partition on your sd card... You should at LEAST know taht
Third, I don't even understand what you're asking.
1) You deleted Ext4
2) Installed everything new, what does that mean? I assume a new rom, but another ext? or what? Did you wipe the whole SD card? Partition it? Learn to be more specific
3) You saw that you have old pictures on the phone... ok...
4) If you want to delete everything, format the fat32 folder? Fat32 Folder??? Do you mean the fat32 partition on the SD card? And yes, if you don't want no old stuff anymore, you delete the things that are on the SD card.
5) I assume that you just wanna delete everything and I assume that your pictures are on that sd card. You know, you can put stuff on and delete stuff on an SD card. It's there for that reason. It won't cause problems.
If you took out your sd card when it has an ext and using a2sd then you'd have problems.
But still, You make absolutely no sense. From my knowledge, when you take pictures or stuff, it doesn't go on the ext. You say, "If I want to delete everything, do i need to format the fat32?" Then you say you don't wanna delete the data on the fat32 from your phone. What is your question? Do you want to delete or not? You install stuff on the fat32 part? Normally people have stuff installed in the Ext part.

I cant answer this until I'm sure of what you even want to do. And what does DRC83_base_defanged.zip have anything to do with this right now? You flash that before flashing CM. I'm not sure why you want to suddenly install that
If what you wanted to do was keep everything from your SD card and get rid of the Ext, well then.. back up your sd card and partition the sd card.
the only thing I want to know is if there's anything I need to consider when I'm deleting my fat32 partition ? I formated my ext4, wiped it and installed the new rom.

[Q]Help in uninstalling Clockworkmod n SD-Card Problem

Hey i have an Optimus 2x..With Slick2x-G V4.3.6 Rom..I'm having trouble wid ClockworkRecoveryMod Cuz wen i access the ext-Sd only Internal SD is accessible i.e. wen i try to Flash a ZIP file, the internal SD is opened..
I think there is a problem wid the mounting, seems like the external SD n Internal SD paths have been xchanged ..Cuz CWM is accessing the internal SD..
if i'm able to uninstall it and then re-install it may be it'll work normal again...
If any one has any idea about it plz share

Try making a Backup of your Whole Sdcard on a Desktop, then Delete Everything off the Sdcard!
Then Obviously Put whatever you need back one at a time!

[Q] new memory card help

hi. i have a question. im gonna buy a new SD card for my phone (4gig or an 8gig) and since im rooted and have cm7 and did the trans status bar patch, im wondering if im going to have to re-root/re-flash/re-patch all 3 again when i switch out memory cards? thanks for ur help.
I'm not sure what the trans flash deal is, but you shouldn't have any trouble. Just copy everything over from the old to new and continue on. Your phone will run fine without any card in it, although you'll be missing anything installed on the card, of course.
I think when you something flash to phone, you donĀ“t need to keep the zip on SD. When you something flash, its copy to internal memory. So you can plug new SD with no fear.
aright thank u both. ill just have to backup the apps i have installed to my sd card. again, thanks for ur help.
2 things I can think of, first check the type of microSD card, it should be at least a class 4, and check to see if your ROM can do App2SD and take advantage of it

iternal sd card full?

after modding to CM 9, my internal sd card shows as full.
hooking it up to the computer and browsing the internal sd card, I can't see where all my memory is going.
weird.
any suggestions?
hmmm
So I found where its all going. In storage/misc files it says that clockworkmod is taking up 2.32GB
can I safely delete this?
Sounds like you have a cwm backup using blobs.I wouldnt delete it.

Yes you can safely delete it. You can always move the backup to your external sd card if you have one

[Q] need mnt/sdcard/<files>

i lost my mnt/sdcard/<files> i delete them oh what a mistake!
but they were useless .
they story was began from 1 day i decided format my internal sd card then i did it from >setting/sd car and phone storage/format internal storage.
at this time i had 2.2 froyo . i tried flash 2.3.6 GB ,scan sd card for viruses , format ex sdcard.
but when i did the last thing (format ex sd card from>setting/sd card and phone storage/fromat ex sd )i lost my ex sd card too (must mention it i did format 3 time internal sd card and 5 time ex sd card again and again cuz i had sd card removed unexpectedly issue and somewhere said it happen by virus (i guess true cuz i downloaded some app recently and after that the sd card removed unexpectedly was occur)but those formats clear all thing. phone doesnt recognize both sd cards even .
now i live with a 4 gb ex sd card and unavailable int/ex sd card. (yea its unavalable but when i put it off without 4 gb ex sd the phone wont boot up)
in my phone i just see system root (no sd card no internal memory) .
the one thing i am thinkin about that is .maybe should i have this directory files backup mnt/sdcard/<files> .maybe if i copy & paste those files again my sd card come back again .maybe .cuz i have no doubt it mnt/sdcard/files wont change after flash official rom.and i cant flash a custom rom jelly bean (i hear that directory is /sdcardo )till phone cant recognize ex sd card.
i have no other idea.
so plz upload these files mnt/sdcard/<files>
