cant find anything to use in the diamond internally or by connecting up headphones as the antenna then transmitting. I need to know this urgently. Its in the N78 so why cant it be in the diamond? It receives radio frequencies so their must be a way to send

Really? One that includes a majority of ClearChannel stations? Care to point me towards one of these apps?

I use shoutcast website to find various (almost commercial free mostly) internet radio stations. I create M3U playlist for each radio station (using Winamp) and save them to my device in a folder I created called (internet radio stations) I have created shortcuts to each of my favorite radio stations in ultimate launch and had it load TCPMP to play each radio station. Works like a charm for me - I have a dedicated Ultimate launch page strictly for my favorite internet radio stations. Too bad I can't get a good unlimited data plan in Canada to listen to them whenever I want (such as in my car) but I use it all the time when connected to WIFI.

I'm not interested in internet radio stations, I'm interested in the stations locally owned by ClearChannel, and other ClearChannel stations nationally that I enjoy.

You do understand that unless you are listening to FM or AM radio on your device - If it is capable - that anything else is basically online Internet streaming radio - It may be a live radio station streaming over the net or a purely internet radio station. The concept I mentioned above of having your favorite stations can still apply.
Perhaps what you are looking for is an easier way? An all in one app that will be preprgramed with your favorite online radio stations.
There is a serius/XM Satellite radio app available in this forum - take a look at that - you will need to subscribe to Serius or XM radio to get your online listening account and password - (this i still internet radio - Serius or XM Streaming live over the internet)

I hear you,WN. It's not an app but I use a work around call The Mobile Stream Center. I think they also have an Iphone app. Anyway, it's online streaming through media player. It's actual stations!!! I listen to three Clear Channel sations here in New Orleans. You can search the list of stations by their call letters.

Yes, I know technically it is "internet streaming radio", however these are local stations, and that is what I would prefer to listen to.
The application is completely free for the iPhone. I'm not going to pay for something that does something similar for a WinMo phone when I feel I have the superior product in the first place.
Given that ClearChannel has it's database of these local stations and their Streaming IDs online, it should be quite simple for a handy programmer to retrieve that list and build it into an app that utilizes perhaps WMP.

Maybe put FM TRANSMITTER FOR HD2/NEXUS ONE in the title
I vote for a better title also...
Make it clear, because this title sounds like a noob that do not search creating a thread that will be shut down in a matter of minutes.
Maybe something like: "We need help to activate FM transmitter in HD2"
Hey hoss, congrats on Egypt's great win yesterday.
Can you please use proper capitalization in the title? Like what zefiltrin posted: "We need help to activate FM transmitter in HD2".
I have an HD2 and it would be immensely useful to have an FM transmitter!
As I wrote before, FmRadioSDK.dll and HTCFM.dll are wrappers, not drivers.
HTCFM.DLL is wrapper of FmRadioSDK.dll. FMRadioSDK is wrapper of Bluetooth Stack.
Bluetooth stack decode data and forward request and hide all implementation details inside.
I bet HTC doesn't know those implementation details and broadcomm won't tell anybody (unless pay for it?).
we need to work on BT related files.
I posted key functions within FMRadioSDK in FM RDS thread before.
I think we have to write a tool to inject bluetooth stack/driver to see how things work.
The worst thing could be bluetooth stop working while our program control FM Transmitter etc.

Hello my friends,
Can you explain me why you want to make an FM transmitter with HD2 / Nexus ?
And what is the Mhz ?
22MHZ to 200 MHZ ?
Thanks a lot,
regards,
Nixeus
I can answer question #1 - simply because its,
cool, fun, and useful (in the car/hookup to stream your music to a sound system and you forgot the cable and maybe just got the headset)
regards

An FM transmitter, as mentioned above, is useful for sending music to your car's radio in case it doesn't have an audio in jack or you don't want additional wiring.
As for the frequency, that would the regular FM channels' frequencies which fall in the range of 87.5-108.0 MHz. Ideally, if FM transmission was achieved on HD2/N1, it should be able to transmit at low power at any frequency falling within that range. The user would choose the frequency at which there is least interference in his location and use it to transmit low-power FM signals that his car can pick up.
I just played with FM transmitter feature of a prototype nokia phone.
Interestingly it prompts me to unplug accessories (headset) in order to enable FM Transmitter.
That means FM Transmitter is not using headset as antenna.
Looking at size of this device I don't think it use large/long internal antenna either.
Also read some internal documents related to broadcomm BCM chipset. Broadcomm provided SDK to manufactures rather than giving them hardware interface documents. The phone must sends a set of RAM initialization data to the BCM chipset after reset otherwise the chipset won't response to any commands.
In other word, we will need two things:
1. Find a device that using same chipset to provide FM transmitter. So we will know initialization data and control commands.
2. reverse engineer Broadcomm SDK/FM Radio on HD2 to understand the hardware ports.
After that it is possible to write a hardware driver for HD2.
ps. I think FM transmitter is useless. I have one at home. sound quality is too poor, even worse than WM radio. feels like a low pass filter.
And have to keep changing frequency when traveling between cities.
I spent £ 15 bought a cheapest mp3 in car stereo that supports SD card, USB drive and AUX input with many useful features, with expected sound quality.
If I spent a little more on that car stereo could come with A2DP so that I can use phone bluetooth as "FM Transmitter"
I only need it plays music from my key ring USB drive. threw my old Alpine stereo with that FM transmitter away.
This would be great! I could finally kick the ipod to the curb!
really will be useful
goooo....
funny i was just wondering yesterday about getting one of those fm transmitters commonly used for ipods, thinking it might work better than the poor sound i'm currently getting from the head phones i'm using with my leo.
would this be compatible with my TP2?
No you tp2 don't have a (BCM4329)chip so no go

Oh well, i have a 3.5mm to fm adaptor from my ipod, and my cay has bt streaming (Thanks ford!)
hello,
i have a bluetooth headset philips shb 7100.
The bt-headset paired and connected successful with my device.
But the functions play/pause and back/forward not working.
I can hear music, volume control and the calloptions also working.
Is the reason the widcomm stack in acer neotouch?
There is a solution for this?
OR
knows someone a stereo bt-headset that works with this functions (play/pause,back/for)?
doesn't work for me either
Hi!
I have a motorola HT820, and I can't play/pause/next/previous with it either, all though the headset worked fine with iMate SP5 and HP 614c
The problem seems to be that Acer (or at least the ROMs I'm using) don't support the AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).
So until someone figures out a way to include this profile, we're stuck!

yes, I read it in the www
I installed the "avrcp agent" (to find here in forum)
Nothing.
What I not understand:
my headset works with the windows media player mobile with this functions, but with no other musicplayer??
(is in the wmp the avrcp support..)
but wmp is not good to use
I am now using jabra bt3030. it works perfectly in AVCRP.
however, the ACVRP funtion only works in WMP default player.
I had tried to use the funtion in pocket music, coreplayer, mortplayer, nitrogen, but all don't work.
Only works in WMP! Don't know why and hope there is a way to solve it. I don't like WMP too.
I find that it now works with WMP, but I'm not sure if it was because I installed AVRCP agent.
(When I was using Rafyvitto's vanilla ROMs, it didn't work even with WMP...)

News!
pocketplayer 4.1 (no freeware) with the plugin "conduit wm adapter 2.31" (gen_wmhost.dll) works!
The plugin must be configure:

Look into the FAQs of S2P on their site. There's a link to a xda-thread where you will find a modified dll which could work with our s200. It disables the hijacking of BT-Signals by the WMP.
I actually would directly the thread, but it's not allowed for new users to post links :-(
Hope it helps...

According to this, AVRCP should work with HTC Music Player as well (not just WMP), but in my case it only works with WMP... but let's check it and see...

+1, mine is ACER neotouch S200 most recent acer ROM. Nothing work with my bluetooth headset philips shb 7100 other than the darn useless boring WMP . Sometime I just want to totally give up window mobile and try something else, but I have already invested too much on window mobile medical applications.
Car audio Bluetooth connection not working
hi...
I see many of you already have had some problems with bluetooth connections with this phone...but all of you say that at least can put the WMP working...
I'm trying to connect my S200 to the car audio (sony from 08 Ford Focus) and it's not working...the car audio system doesn't recognize the phone, but te phone says it's connected...
Is there any known bug for this? any way I can workaround this problem?
Tkx
I use Pocket Player, with plug-in 'Conduits WM Adaptor 2.31', checked to 'Intercept/Override WMP', checked to 'BT Remote Control', after that can use A2DP .
I also use PocketMusic, but still not know how to config A2DP .
Hi,
I would like to be able to hear all my Windows PC sounds on my Windows Phone via Wifi. Ive been searching for quite long time now with no luck. Anyone knows better?
Cheers
QloudMedia, http://app.qiss.mobi/ , http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/a6a48d5e-a249-42c9-a552-3111c26051e6
Not an audio only, but video (transcoding "on the fly") and pics too
Neat! Thank you! Will give it a try as son as i can
but if isnt it too much to ask, isnt there any free alternative?
also my initial thought (belive i wasnt very clear) was to use the phone as a kind of "wireless headphone" since i could watch game stream, online web radio and so on w/o beeing in front of the pc.
Qloud doesnt seems to do that, or am i mistaken?

No. With QloudMedia you can stream existing audio/video files to your handset. To be able watch something directly from you PC screen, you may try any remote desktop apps (but they are also paid).
im trying "pc remote" and it is really great, but it doesnt have the audio feature,
do you know any?
