I have Pocket Music (5 I think) on my HTC_P3700 and I mapped up and down for volume and left and right for previous/next track.
Hlwever when I turn the display off the left and right buttons don't work, although the volume does.
I think WMP would work but I can't get it to play songs off the "storage card" (the HTC_P3700 has no memory card slot, it has a 4GB built in card)
I still need help, I use my phone mainly for music and this is annoying!

I use GSplayer to play my MP3s because it is fast and efficient. My headphones have a built in Green and Red phone button. What I want to do is set the Green one to Play/Pause the song when GSPlayer is open, and the Red one to go to next song.
Unfortunately, like the hard buttons on the PPC, all it does is open the phone interface when I hit the green one, and closes the window when I hit the red one.
If I use AE Button Plus, it disables the original pick up and hang up functions. Does anyone have any solutions? PocketMusic does allow those buttons to be mapped, but my device seems to have problems with the software, and I don't like the seconds delay between songs.
Hi,
I had a Qtek S100 and I always used GSplayer as my mp3 player. Now I own a Touch, and since the touch has far less hardware buttons I switched to Mortplayer. Mainly because of the volume slider which you should be able to use to control the volume of the player instead of the system volume.
Now, this doesn't work. if I use the volume slider, the volume of the player moves 1 bit, and right after that the systems volume slider comes over the top and takes over.
Furthermore, I can't assign the camera button. When I assign it to toggle the screen on/off, it just opens the Camera.
Does someone know how I can make this work? And how do you guys use your Touch as a mp3 player?
How do I change so that music applications dont go silent when in standby mode (the button on the side)
using dutty v4
You really can't. With the resco player you can toggle the screen off, same with WMP. But you cannot turn the device off. Look for a screen toggle for WMP, Resco has one built in to R-Radio.
I was just about to ask the same question.
About half of the time, WMP keeps playing when I put the device into standby (by pressing the side power button). The other half of the time the player stops playback. Thus far I haven't been able to find any rhyme or reason to the behavior...
When I listen to music with GS player with my HTC Touch the music stops by clicking on the button to turn off my screen.
There is an option in GS player to turn off the screen but I want to use the button on my phone.
is it possible to fix this? I found a solution however this only works for WMP.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]
"UnattendedPlayback"=dword:00000001
the problem is when you click the button you dont just turn off the screen
you suspend the whole device where only core functionality can operate
like nofications and clock and such
but ms made it possible to add wmp because
people dident uderstand that
most players have the option of blank screen which is what you were thinking that
clicking the power button did (which i explained it dident)
one often find the blank screen functionality where one map features for players to buttons
I've searched everywhere using all the keywords I can think of but not had any success yet.
In the old days I used to use S2P or Windows Media Player and if I was on battery the screen would dim or even go blank but music wuld continue to play and I could pause or skip tracks using the d-pad despite the device appearing to be off.
I'm now using TouchFlo3d for music playback. This turns the screen off but also stops the buttons from working. It means I need to turn it on before I can change tracks or anything. I tried a workaround so that any button would wake the device but it ended up calling people by mistake while it was in my pocket. Then I installed S2U2 but that means I have to slide accross the screen to change tracks as well as pressing buttons.
Does anyone know of a way to allow me to press buttons while music is playing without running the risk of dialling people by accident? Thanks.
