Disable screen switching - General Questions and Answers

Greetings,
I have a really quick question. I have a titan with a sliding keyboard. When the keyboard slides it changes the screen to horizontal. Is there a way to toggle the switching as in to disable it from switching ? I want to be able to turn the switching from landscape to portrait an and off. Any ideas?

not sure about this.. but...

Slideout kbd rotation - disable?

Hello.
Is there a way to disable autorotation to landscape while sliding keyboard out? It is very annoying for me,because it takes ages to write few words in ICQ(for example).
Also I want to keep the power-on function using keyboard out.
Thanks.

Disable Screen Switching

Can anyone help me out with a way to top the screen from switching when I pull out my keyboard?

thats to prevent the input. I want to know when I slide to open my keyboard how I stop it from switching screen orientation.

[Q] Stop the WM Default lock screen from rotating?

Okay... perhaps an odd question here... I'm running my Touch Pro2 with a default ROM and the default Windows Mobile lock screen. Here's my problem... I carry it in a holster that has a magnetic closure. When I pull it out of the holster the magnetic sensor in the phone thinks the keyboard was opened and rotates the display to landscape. After a few seconds it realizes the keyboard is not open and rotates back to portrait.
The issues is that I need to wait two-four seconds for this process to complete before I can use my phone. Granted, that isn't a HUGE time, but it is annoying. It won't register me attempting to slide it unlock when it's in landscape because it's thinking about going back to portrait. It would be nice to just force it to stay in portrait regardless of whether the keyboard is open or not. But of course the kicker is that it's only the lock screen that I want to act like this. Other programs should still swap to landscape if the keyboard opens.
Anyone have a clue how to do this?

upgraded to JB, lost screen rotation

really strange. this is not "slow" it's just not happening.
home screen
web browser
pulse
other apps
funny thing was i actually like this for most of my use. but then i started to notice it. the strange thing is sometimes i'll pick it up in portrait mode and unlock and i will get the vertical lock screen.
anyone notice this? am i missing a setting somewhere?
It happened to me the same thing, set with a reboot.
Do you have Auto rotate enabled or disabled? (The block with two arrows around it in the quick settings.)
With auto rotate off it doesn't rotate when unlocked. Picking it up (and unlocking) in portrait mode rotates the screen to portrait mode. The lock screen does rotate.

Question how to keep s22 ultra in landscape mode/orientation permanently ?

S22 Ultra has huge screen and I would like to use it in landscape orientation always, is there a way to set it permanently ?
I have already tried 'Turn your phone the orientation you want it to stay in and then lock it with the auto rotate button from the quick panel. You can lock it in either portrait or landscape that way.'
and didn't work for me, here is the video https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...orientation-permanently.4411873/post-86533919
one approach: use bixby routines and set to rotate to landscape for all apps on open

I dont see trigger for screen unlock
Is this not an option in the pull-down toggles anymore? I'm still waiting for my S22U to come in, but on my S8 you can pull down and get a "Auto-Rotate" toggle. You'd enable that, rotate the screen the way you want it, and then tap it again -- the text would then change to "Portrait" or "Landscape" and the rotation would be locked in.
Turn your phone the orientation you want it to stay in and then lock it with the auto rotate button from the quick panel. You can lock it in either portrait or landscape that way.
@itsXpanD and @AndroidNO0B i have tried this, once i lock the screen in landscape and go back. it returns to portrait.

Search your settings for landscape and the rotate to landscape option near the bottom.

Your browser is not able to display this video.
(had to record with other mobile as as screen recording gets stopped when locked.)
managed to make it happen
this is what I was missing.
Huh, that's interesting. Seems to be a more recent addition, there was no long-press menu on OneUI 1.0 yet. Glad it's working now!
