HTC Touch problems with car kit - General Questions and Answers

hi there
I just got my new htc touch, and i have managed to connect it to my car bluetooth through the stereo. I have the contacts but not the call history.
Another thing i have noticed is that there is a huge time lag between actually choosing to dial the no. on the car and it actually going through. its about 10 sec!!
The car kit is absolutely fine, because it works perfectly with other phones.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
Raj

Parrot doesn't work with Desire

I want to use HTC Desire with Car Kit Parrot CK3200LS. The only thing stands agains this is MUTED Parrot's microphone. Pairing is quick and stable, I can hear person who I'm calling, but nobody hears me because mic is MUTED. The same story with every ROM.
Could somebody advice me where to look for solution of that problem?
What version is your Parrot CK3200LS? As Parrot CK3200LS seems to work fine for me, What roms are you using are they all with HTC sense?

Parrot's soft version is 2.12c (most recent), LeeDroid_v2.1a_A2SD, AOSPDesire_1.5.4, Neophyte_1.8, Stock FROYO, DeFrost_4.4, AuraxTSense_7.6.1. I've tried many ROM's - the same story.
What is your ROM, which works good with CK3200LS-COLOR?
I'm having a problem with the CK3100. Not every time, but quite often, when I hang up the phone, the display on the phone and on parrot indicate the call has finished but phone is still displayed in the dashboard and the radio/cd etc remains muted.
Sometimes, if I dial another number or take another call the radio will come back on but often the only sure way to unmute the radio is to durn the engine off, take the key out and wait 60 seconds before starting the car. This is quite inconvenient on the M25!
It also happened with an HTC-620 and, occasionally, an Orbit (Artemis) but never either of my Nokia phones. AVR mobiles who installed the car kit have been particularly unhelpful; their advice is to try another phone.
I wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

Exactly the same problem - not very often but you're right its damn irritating... As a workaround I've installed simple switch on the red +12v switched cable that is plugged in to the fusebox. This way I can quickly powercycle Parrot when that problem happens or turn it off when I leave car for longer periods at the airport. It shouldn't drain battery at all yet somehow it flattened my battery when I was away for 2 weeks.... and I'm sure everything is wired correctly...

Any news concerning Parrot Car Kit?

[Q] Parrot carkit

Hello to all you out there.
I have been the proud owner of a desire for about eight months now. I just got a new car, Hyundai i30, and i am planning to put a BT carkit in it. Can anyone tell me about their experience with, preferebly, parrot carkits?
Tnx
I have a parrot MKi9200. Reasonably happy with it, less so with parrot support.
Sync works, iPod play works as advertised. Software is a bit buggy, but nothing problematic. I recommend you get a good installer for it, though
I also have a parrot MKi9200 and works very good. Also with the HTC Wildfire from my wife.
as mentioned get a good fitter or someone who knows what they're doing. the i30 isn't to bad to take apart to run cables.
hi, got a parrot ck3100, good sync, adr book and stuff to phone but not a2dp (so no music through it).
I also have the 3100, and it works like a charm with my desire (latest radio and cm7).
Syncing and connecting with phone are automatic, voice dial works and parrot is easily updateable with a bluetooth connection. And above all, voice quality is perfect
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I've got the CK3100 and (as people have mentioned above) it works well with the desire.
A minor issue: GB roms appear to have a problem with BT where the phone doesn't immediately switch back to it's phone speaker when the connection to a headset/carkit is lost. I believe this is is GB issue. I've never experienced it before I started using GB roms.
Also, as people above have pointed out, it's probably worth getting a system that supports A2DP audio playback too. I'm using a separate Tunelink device for that.. and it works. But using two separate BT device to connect to the one Desire is a bit awkward.
I am using a PARROT MKi9000 with my Desire.
speech recognition is nearly perfect.
I use it for streaming music/audiobooks over the car-speakers, too without problems.
Installed it by myself without problems. Plug & Play.
Regards,
chrrh...

9200 is the best you can buy imo, does it all(at least all that you can expect from a car kit), and parrot releases updates frequently.

Hi there,
I use the MKi9100 in my Fiat Grande Punto and it works very well with my Desire.
I wouldn´t recommend to use the music playback function via bluetooth, though, as the sound quality kind of sucks...
Yeah, listening music throw bluetooth really killing me))
I should always choose between quality or battery life

[Q] annoying! bluetooth and handsfree.

Hey, i have original rom on my diamond and i have long time searched for an bluetooth handsfree that will be OK in my car, and so i bought myself an Pama Omega sunvisor handsfree and on my sony ericsson it works soo flawless but on my daily phone diamond it pairs up, but one of the two devixes is unwilling to transfer calls, is there some ROMS that is moe likely to fix this or can i install a software fix of some kind making them understand eachother..??
i have tomtom installed and the htc is working kinda OK so i really would stay away of killing all data and making me instal tomtom and everything again, BUT im willing if i can make the bluetooth work!! REALLY!!
i need my handsfree in my car so its worth some work!!
also ive spent quite some money on this handsfree so id like it to work!
MANY MANY MANY thanks!!! for all the help!

[Q] i9003 & BT car kit

Well, I found funny issue concerning using i9003 with BT car Kit. My car audio system is Sony MEX 2600 and Android Gingerbread XXXPM. Sometimes, after listening of music in car, Android will not disconnect it properly... Even though i'm not in the range of BT car kit any more, while picking up a phonecall, both me and person who is calling me don't hear a thing. It seems like phone still thinks that it's connected to car kit and is trying to transfer the conversation to car kit's speakers. It doesn't matter how many times in row it calls - each time I get the same symptoms.. I noticed that it helps to turn off and on again bluetooth, but it's not a proper solution...
Previously, on preinstalled Android 2.2 I was getting similliar problem from time to time... Symptoms were a little bit diffrient, but I'm pretty sure it was hapening because the device didn't disconnected properly out of the car kit...
I've been looking for the answer on many forums so far, but due to the fact i9003 is a little bit rare on the market, I haven't found any answer. Hope to find it here though...

[Q] HTC Car speaker

Hi everyone, I just bought a HTC Car V100 second hand. It should work perfectly the seller said. But I have no manual for it so I can't deal with some things. Someone could tell me where can I download a manual for it? Or someone could load up one? My problem is the phone disconnects the speaker after a few minutes. But just in the car. It seems (for me!) if the wifi is on and searching, disconnects the thing. If it does I have to turn off the bluetooth on the phone turn off the speaker than back again both and than the two thing connect again. Sometimes I have to search with the phone the device and pair them again. But when I tried at home and in work it was on all day and work perfectly! Because is second hand I have no manual for it. I tried to press some buttons on the speaker and now I cant use the voice dialling neither. I don't want to throw in the bin but if I cant work out what is the problem I will. I have a HTC OneS phone and so fare I'm satisfied with the HTC. I would be very pleased if someone could help me to solve this problem. I posted this question to some other places too. And I really need some help. Please! Thx. Peter
