Gfreek is not included on this screenshot but I have it on my Leo...and I love it!

I think you mean something like WkTask?
Normally, you can use this and keep the Gfreek taskbar. (Although I prefer to use DJCedric's taskbars, as they are 100% made for Leo..)

sorry for the missed upload but I am travelling and posting with a 3g connection... a lot of issues...
I crashed my browser when I was surfing xda and frankly I don't remember which thread, that's the problem!!
Anyway the thread was not related to those icons but to something else... I took the screenshot before all crashed...
thx

Cool! I have never seen this app! Maybe the icons are made with it! When I will be at home I give it a try.
thx
try xtask in dev & hacking.
its much more powerful than wktask, and can do the top left icons
its also 6.5 &6.5.3 compatible, include a position fix for programs which overlap the 6.5.3 taskbar
just take some time to get used to how it works and all the settings options for it.
thanks a lot
many many thanks!!!
I suppose I must start surfing also that part of the forum!!

Is it possible to create a CAB that makes the text under the quicklinks transparent, so that you wil only see the icon??
This in combination with other Transparent CAB's it wil make the home sreen look nice and clean.

Sorry old bean, but you're wrong.
There's a cab to make the icons transparent, but not the text.
Assuming of course that you have already done a thorough search of the forum and have found nothing suitable, the man to ask is AntonioMistretta in his 'Transaparent (sic) Clock and slider and more!' thread under 'HD2 Themes and Applications'.
If a cab exists, he almost certainly knows about it and if it doesn't, then he might just be nice enough to make one for you...!
Addendum:
But PLEASE do search his thread first. He get an awful amount of people asking him for stuff he's already provided!
Use the search it's the first, but i've used it and it take a will, so...
Try this: dega's transparent quicklink text box.cab
They've managed to remove the top and bottom task bars and make them 100% transparent. I am afraid and don't know how to do it/follow its direction.
This is great and will definitely remove having to install extra programs such as HDWalls.

i.e HDWall is a piece of cake next to it.
Personally I don't like transparent bars, they look great on Sense indeed, but ugly in programs where seeing the home background just makes no sense.

For some, others like the OP or me would just like a cab to install with this in it rather than use another mod.

And you will wait in vain. This can't be done with a cab.

Any need for the sarcasm? Not everyone here has the know how nor knowledge of whats required, so a simple "No it cant be done, it has to be done this way for X reasons" more trouble than its worth nowdays is it?

Show me where the list of extra cabs are to only make the clock, calendar / date, top curtain and bottom slider are all listed, the go get HDwall to make the home screen transparent. Its not simple "go here and download HDwall", you have to spend time searching for these extra cabs, then test each one works, and then make cabs for wallpaper.
Was only asking if someone had one cab just to remove the top and bottom bars as it would then only require using bigger wallpapers, not making cabs for each wallpaper.
Well, if you read the thread the OP linked, youll see that this fix requires dumping and unpacking the ROM, making a couple of hex edits, rebuilding the ROM and reflashing it. There's the answer to why it can't be done with a cab.

Don't take it as sarcasm. I was just stating a simple fact.
And the fact that the answer isn't what you wanted to hear doesn't make it sarcasm, I'm sorry to say.
We only wish what you wanted was so easy, but we have tried, and we have failed. And if the answer doesn't please you, what can we do?
Hello,
I wonder if anyone is able to/wants to help me?
I am looking for confirmation of the manila file names for CHT 1.8... (I have been browsing the forum but can only find cabs and not the file names for this)
I have been looking through the files by using cfc-gui but I can’t confidently identify the right files!!
I just want to personalise my own files, initially to achieve a transparent home screen, but ongoing to something else.
The clock files are identified on the CHT thread, but not the bars/panels.
I think I have identified the following files (for not-pressed bars), but on modifying them and loading them onto the phone (in the Windows folder, and then restarting manila, and also soft resetting) they don’t all seem to change as I expected.
These ones do work:
0B7F6995_manila = appointment expand/pull-down grip
30D807DA_manila = thin bar with rounded corners to ‘finish’ lower appointment
0d61c97c_manila = date bar
740dc76b_manila = alarm bar
These ones don’t work:
43A0289_manila = appointment list bar
77BAF4F0_manila = notifications full bar
(if these aren’t what I think they are, then what have I changed by modding these files??!!)
I can see from various mods on this forum that people are able to change the files I want to work with, so I must just be playing with the wrong files.
Any help would be good, and it’ll save me time by further searching many pages of the forum and struggling to identify the files in the Windows folder (which is proving very difficult it seems).
Thank you.
it would be good if there was a manila library on here somewhere - cfc-gui is a really good tool, but it's just not doing a proper job for me on this occasion!!!
PS: I have current version 1.66 standard UK ROM on HD2, non-network specific. My CHT 1.8 is working fine, no issues, I just want to mod it a bit!
Agree with the above would be good if there was a list available as took me ages just to find the default cover art for music and couldn't find the mini music player background. I'm using cfc-gui as well and there's as many/if not more files under unknown as there are with headers which makes it really difficult. I've just been going through them 1 by 1 and I'm going to try edit a few on the weekend so will let you know what I find.
Cheers - any help on this would be appreciated. There are loads of mods for this already, but not many sharing info!!
I'll keep on looking...
In the meantime, if anyone else can assist - much appreciated it will be!
If anyone is interested, I found what I was looking for:
10376502_manila = notifications bar
438A0283_manila = appointments bar
I've attached all of these files as transparent in the .zip below. The only one that isn't fully transparent is the pull-down grip which I have added little grip dots to it so you know where it is, otherwise transparent.
** Back-up original files from the Windows folder before overwriting! **
the clock white background remains white, Any updates of others ?
nice work, i liked it, when ever I flash a new rom I was installing transparencies.. not anymore...
I hope you keep up with this threat...
can you show a picture of this please!!
many people will be much help if you put screenshot..if you ask someone's help try to help someone also and someone will apreciate yours

why dont you share these info with them ...
Is something being requested in the posts above?
I can't quite work out what it is - is it a transparent clock? - if so, which sort?
Aren't there plenty of clocks for CHT on XDA already, do they not work?

Also a hard reset is always a good reason to try another ROM

Depending on which files you edited..... you might be able to get them back by installing/uninstalling/reinstalling CHT..... maybe.....
Which particular files do you need...??
if by chance I have them backed up Ill post them for you... I dont have that many though....
There is a link in the FAQ section of the CHT thread's main post from Co0kie, for transparencies and some graphics restore cabs.
That should help answer some of your questions.
If you have any other questions still after looking at those cabs and files, let me know.
You can go directly to that thread to the first post where the link is, by clicking the CHT banner in my sig., or clicking the link above will take you there directly.
thanks for the responce guys! i'm actually not sure what manilla files they are lol, i just know there the ones which make the calendar and call history transparent. i've tried re-installing CHT but transparency is still there, it wasnt a cab see. i overwritten the original files with zip file on page one. but would like the glass panel look which dinik created. installing dinik theme the transparent calendar/call history is still there. someone who backed up the manila files before installing that zip file could help... were are they!! lol

I have attached the original files that you highlighted a couple of posts above...
in the zip file are the original files if you want to drop them in manually, or a cab file for if you want to do it the easy way - all it does is place the two manila files in the windows folder, and it's not going to appear in the applications list either (you can't 'uninstall it'), its a one-way cab.
Thanks for all your help guys but looks like its not to be. they were the right manila files but after getting rid of the transparency`s and installing diniks theme everything has the glass panels but calender/call history. maybe the rom i`m using is affecting the theme (cleanex rom). but again thanks for your help guys.
HI,
Is there a possibility to remove the "start" text from the hd2 top bar. Or change the icon.?

There is a way, but I can't for the life of me find the thread for it. They are just simple .cabs, I had looooads but I deleted them after installing Windows 6.5.x as I didn't need to use them. I'll keep searching and hopefully someone will link you to a thread in the meanwhile!

Hello Everyone!
Hi guys 'n' girls.
Thanks Kalavere for pointing me to this thread
Was getting a little frosty in my other thread..
I'm looking for a few things for 6.5...
1) A collection of start icon's (only the icon, no text). Also a separate remove text cab would be nice as I've seen a few others that would give a limb for one...
2) I've not yet seen any of these yet but I'm after a collection of animated load icons (you know, the win icon that spins)
3)A collection of stand alone volume skins. Have seen a couple of these but they always seem to incorporate something else (not that I'm picky lol)
I'm mainly looking for Dusk and Anastasia themed items but i would love to see what else is out there!
Thank you in advance for any help!
Any hints to threads would be greatly appreciated!
Ps. @ Kalavere, I love your profile pic! I'm big in to Gas masks my self, had to mention!

Thanks a lot. Tried but no help. The taskbar I use is from anastasia. However the Start icon change in itself is not possible.
Also the "Start" text written on the top cannot be removed. Is there a way for it really.
It will eb a very nice idea to make a collection of
Volume icons
SMS icons
Battery icons
Start icons
and customization of start text.
Anyone upto it?

You can definitely, definitely change just the icon alone. I just can't find the damned things!
*Edit* This is how to do it manually, there are some cabs floating about though...

I've found an answer to that, thanks to dafunk2.
TO ALL OF YOU THAT WANT ONLY THE CUSTOM WAIT CURSOR:
No guys, there is no way to make a cab for only the custom wait cursor.
This is because the custom wait cursor graphics are into the file shellres.192.dll. Into this file reside also many of the taskbar icons and other miscellaneous graphics. If I make a cab with only the file shellres.192.dll and you install it, you will have my wait cursor, but you will have many of my taskbar icons as well. It's good if you use my taskbar (but if you use my taskbar you already have my cursor ), but if you use another taskbar....you can easily understand what can happen.
So this is why there's no way to make a cab that installs only the cursor.
I'm thinking about to make some colors variations of the cursor, but I think that I will make them for cookers (and who knows how to edit dlls) and I will post the 32bit bitmaps in the Windows Mobile Themes section.
I'm sorry.....but I'm explaining why this is impossible
Anyway, many thanks for the great interest for my custom wait cursor
