ATT Tilt Bluetooth Pairing Issues - General Questions and Answers

I am attempting to pair an ATT Tilt with an onboard bluetooth device on a GL1800 Goldwing Motorcycle. It pairs but, I cannot hear the person on the other end. It rings in the headset, connects fine, outgoing audio reaches the other party but incomming audio never reaches my headset.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Tom

BT headset problem...

Hello there.
Here is my problem:
My Magician has the earphone broken due to a hardware incident, so I decided to use it with a BT headset. So, I bought a Plantronics Explorer 340 BT headset which works great, apart from some BT disconnection issues. When I get a call (when it rings, it does not connect to the headset), from time to time, the BT of my phone disconnects, thus leaving me with no sound for the BT headset.
Are there any patches (besides the one from the ext roms called BTHUSB_PATCH_AKU26.CAB) that could make my BT connection last while receiving a phone call?
Thank you.

Bizarre headset audio trouble

This is driving me to probably return this handset. With ANY headset, wired or Bluetooth, I randomly (but more often than not) get this problem when answering a call:
My headset microphone plays to my earphones, not to the caller, who can hear nothing from me, and I can't hear them. If I disconnect the headset during this phenomenon (wired or BT) then the handset will continue the loopback from handset mic to the handset earpiece.

Bluetooth Headset Answer

Hi Gang,
I really like my new phone, but one small problem keeps bugging me
With my HTC Touch Pro, when it was connected to my car bluetooth handsfree, even if connected, I was able to be in my house getting a call on my phone and answer and talk and being hear from the person at the other end. So the phone was taking priority even if it was connected to my bluetooth headset.
Now with my new Omnia 2, the headset in the car always gets the connection if close to the car.
Any solution?
Thanks,
Eric

[Q] Nexus S bluetooth and 3.5" jack use

Hi, I'm new here and this first post is a really weird question.
Here's the story.
I am connecting my NS to my car audio deck using the 3.5" jack to the AUX in the car. The NS will detect that a headset is connected. I am able to listen to music or internet radio from my NS in the car.
Now I pair my BT handsfree earpiece to the NS for phone calls when driving. Pairing is fine.
Here's the situation.
When a call comes in I can answer the call by pressing the button on the BT earpiece, BUT once on the call it actually uses the headset for output and mic. There is no mic, so I can only hear the caller from the car speakers, but not be able to talk to them.
I will need to actually select output to bluetooth on the NS in order for it to switch over to the actual BT earpiece and have it work properly.
So the question, is there a setting that will always have the preference for bluetooth first?
If I only have the BT handsfree connected, it will connect to the BT unit without issues.
My car audio deck does not have BT and I wouldn't want to fiddle with the phone while I'm driving (it's against the law in some places and it's dangerous).

[Q] Audio at phone even though Bluetooth headset

I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset which I use with the Nexus 5.
(Almost) every time I make a call, the headset first blips and you can see in the dialer that Bluetooth is chosen for sound output.
But just after dialing, the audio is back at the phone (handset earpiece). So I have to switch to Bluetooth again. Then during calls, sometimes the audio is routed back to the phone again.
It always works when you move it back to the Bluetooth headset again but it is very annoying.
Phone has stock 4.4.2-latest.
Any other threads about this? Bugs @ Google? Couldn't find anything..
I guess it depends on the Bluetooth device you're using. My nokia bluetooth headphones work perfectly where as I face similar problems like you when I'm using it in my car.
Maybe try the app soundabout from the playstore. Seem to work (sometimes) on my N4 when I had phone audio problems.
Easy solution to my problem: Unpaired the headset and paired it again, now it works as expected!
