WM6.1 in Faraday

Hi!
I have an Cingular 2125 (Faraday) and want to try WM6.1 in it.
Now I'm using NiTroGenious WM6 Platinum Edition (great work!! ) with no problems...
But I want to know if any WM6.1 ROMs in this fórum will work on my cell....
And if any of these ROMs will work, what's your recommendation ?

Hi Gurx. It should work. Try this Rom Wm 6.1 . I'm using it right now and it's amaizing. If your device is SuperCided, than it should work.

I'll give it a try... Just to know: I flash my 2125 with this ROM and install the hotfix.cab, right ?

Yep. the hotfix is for windows media player, so it should work without it anyway. But I wanna know, did it work?

Hi, Gurx, can you walk me through how did you upgrade ur Cingular 2125 to NiTroGenious WM6 Platinum. Ive downloaded the NiTroGenious WM6 Platinum ROM but im getting an "Invalid ID Error". What did i miss? thnx

How can i register me in the HTC EClub when i have a TMobile Branded "Serial Number" ? Is there a hack? I want to have all updates when the downgrad is not possible.

In my opinion it's not possible to register a non HTC branded device at HTC e-club, because they use different serial numbers. But you can get nearly all updates from there here in the forum.

try searching. but I don't see why you have trouble with wm6.1. WM6.1 is a lot more stable and smoother than wm6.0 in my opinion. If you have freezes, that might be due to your SPL not upgrading. All the upgrades you want is on a WM6.1. I have a tilt and I can't register on eclub either. Thats why we have the connections to xda developer community.

in that last link, would the orange uk rom work with a HTC Touch 3g? as i want to downgrade from windows mobile 6.1 to windows mobile 6.0. Thanks in adavnce.

I am not sure if the ROM would work but even if it did you would flash some stuff you don´t need like the files for the slideout QWERTY keyboard or the scroll wheel and the front camera.
Anyway if you haven´t found this already yourself, I´d try going through this thread Jade Official ROM links

You need the specific ROM for Device to flash, otherwise all you will have is a brick...
Check the HTC Touch 3g WIKI and subforum and i'm sure you will find what you need.

When I bought my tilt on ebay, it was sluggish, and sometimes non-repsonsive on win 6.1. I did a lot of reading, and decided to flash a rom from xda. I found that my phone had been flashed before, it had olipro's first spl. After I went to jockyw2001 3.29 spl and flashed Sakajati's Rhodium, it was like night and day. It was like "can this phone really be so cool?" I've been upgrading roms ever since. Like one poster indicated, the spl might be your problem. IMHO, you'll not find any better roms than what is cooked at XDA, superior to stock in so many ways.

Please help needed

Dear All,
I would like to thanks everyone for contributing to this forum. It is an unbelievable point of knowledge. However I am one of those that are not too tech and I would like someone to guide/tell me how I can update my HTC TYTN II on 3 UK network to the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro.
My phone is unlocked and this is the information I do have about the phone:

1. Due to my phone is not locked do I have use HardSPLv1 first before upgrading to win 6.1?
2. As there are no win 6.1 upgrade for the 3 UK what can I use instead?

Just finished intalling hardSPL for G4. Can someone help me install a ROM???

i dont know what to do or where to download the ROMm for the G4
i was lokking wor a windows mobile 6.1 ROM

Just try CR86 Touch HD if you like. If you flashed hardspl, then simply run the RUU_GO.exe and flash the ROM. Don't worry about G4 or G3.
If you have any problems, just PM. Ya, my right hand work is to help noobs and my left hand work is to cook ROM's

Hi there, asi CRACING (I think was him) told you before, if you have un blocked your wizard, (NOW IN THE SECOND LINE WHEN YOU TURN IT ON SAYS IPL: OLIP)
it means it´s unblocked....
so download a ROM, it will come fully working, i mean its just use the RUU and thar way you will have a new OS on your wizard)
or PM me and i will try to help you in english or spanish)

no you can't and never will be able to upgrade it to windows phone 7

yes 6.5 you can, you need to install hard-spl then one of the roms.
