Hi all,
Yesterday I have upgraded my father’s HTC touch pro, for the latest official ROM (it had the one that it came with which was 1 year older then the latest release).
I now have 2 problems that my father is complaining about. He works in noise sensitive places and he needs to turn off as many sounds as possible.
There are 2 sounds I was not able so far to turn off.
The sound when the Phone turns ON (the shot HTC symbol sing and sound, when you turn on the phone)
And the sound of increasing and decreasing the volume (when you use the side volume keys, it beeps once every time you increase or decrease the sound).
Please help me turn them off.
THANK YOU ALL FOR HELP.
PS: After some more research we were able to find the solution to the sounds, and disable them in windows.
I updated the baseband today. Now, whenever I am on a phone call, once the screen turns off (not necessarily proximity because I havent' tested with that) after the screen timeout while still on the call, my phone seems to switch to 2g mode and the quality of the call goes down considerably...it sounds all distorted and scratchy. I'm running CM7. I also have juicedefender ultimate running...not sure if that's a factor.
anyone have ideas?
I know what you mean. I've noticed the low quality (2g) sound even before the update. I'm sure you've thought of this, but what if you force 3G (aka 4G) mode? I seem to get weak 3G signal in a lot of places and the phone randomly switches to 2G a lot.
Where is that setting to force 4g? I don't see it anywhere...I think I remember seeing it in my settings when I was using froyo, but haven't seen it in some time.
Hi,
I use my sensation xe for moreless a year, and since last week its acting strange - i swich my sound profile to vibration only at work. After i swich it back to sound + vibration and make a phonecall it switches to vibration only. If i swich it to normal and will not perfotm any phonecalls for about an hour it ok. After reatarting the phone everything is ok until i swich to vibration..
My Sensation xe runs stock ics rom, its not even unlocked. The only thing thqt comes to ky mind is ota update of avg free antivirus that took place last week.
Do you have any clues how to correct this error?
Cheers

Had the find x2 pro for a while now and has been fine but have noticed an issue with the volume of calls using android auto and how I'm picked up on the microphone of the car.
I was running a test as I'm with O2 and the signal kept dropping at certain points, so I plugged my work iPhone 12 Pro in and noticed that the call and music volume was much louder aswell as not dropping the call at any point in my ride home (Vodafone).
So I found my old phone from a few years ago which was a oneplus 6, let it run all the updates and plugged it into my car (71 plate suzuki swift) and low and behold it was the same volume levels as the iPhone and much easier to be heard on the microphone so its either a setting somewhere on the oppo or it is just crap with AA. On the oppo I have to set the call volume to 30(max) in the car but with the oneplus and iPhone it was 20.
I have tried turning off use high quality audio in the Bluetooth setting for the car and disabled absolute volume in the development options which has helped the volume of music but still way too quiet on the calls.
Any suggestions of any other settings to turn on/off as I'm close to binning the phone off
Might have sorted it.
Turning absolute volume back on has enabled media volume sync which was greyed out and now its much louder
Update, nope its not sorted so I'm gonna get rid of the phone come January
