Can anyone please tell me how to change the font that Opera Mini uses..
EDIT!!
I am now able to do it myself .. just put the font that u want opera mini to use in the Windows folder.. and rename it by placing an 'a' before it.. example.. 'Tahoma.ttf' should be renamed to 'aTahoma.ttf' ..copy to windows folder and restart phone..
if any doubts please ask..

yeah... can anyone suggest a good clear font for use....
one doubt.. if u have tried "bolt browser" . . see that the font is damn smooth wen compared to opera mini... can we do that in Op mini???
my favourite font is LUCIDA BRIGHT. u can try that and tell me how it works!!!

meh...I just installed opera mini 5, which is awesome so far...but its not recognizing my tahoma font anymore. anyone else had this problem? I've soft reset and reinstalled a few times and still have crappy thin arial type font.

Use CEtuner.... Just copy it 2 PDA and change the colour u want... :wink:
PS: if u use WM5 and execute CEtuner for the first time your Cetuner GUI like error (but Not) its only becouse WM5 font size not recognize by CE tuner, Set it to right size and its OK again... :lol:

Hi all chefs, great contributions by all of u to this Vox community, i had a small query, can you please extract the Newer Jbed from s740 rom... or post a newer version other than the JBED3DMOD version, coz its old enuf now and has a annoying error/bug in wch the lower portion of the screen of Jbed doesnt match with the screen of jbed, instead it shows the background patch.. i hope u understand wat i m tryin to explain, coz this is a very common bug i suppose,,, thanks in advance

update: AND the voipbuster client is also working!
INSTRUCTIONS for install on other ROM:
(use total commander or resco explorer)
Just copy the contents of the JbedJava folder to the Vox \Windows folder and replace the old files.
Do the same with the files in the 0409 folder.
(if your language is Russian, use the 0419 folder or use 0809 for UK English)
You will need to update you java apps (menu - actions - update)
or reinstall them.
(I installed on Mona Lisa)
finally the gmail java app works properly!thanks a bunch

Hey Frauhottelmann, as always, great greater greatest job... thanks a lot.... the interface of the new jbed is coooool... no more of that annoying transparent bar at the bottom, everything nice...
btw can u please tell me do i need to rename files before pasting into windows folder, coz presently i have just copied ur given folder into the storage card and running it from there itself...
one more doubt, can we change the font of jbed, coz its not the standard segoe font and the present font is veryyy small to read, tried extra large fonts also in opera mini... still small fonts... please tell how to change jbed font and font size....

Usually it should work if you just copy it. But the old Java version is probably included in the ROM, so that might cause an error. You need Resco Explorer or something similar to that. Windows Explorer doesn't overwrite files that are in ROM.

For me replacing don't work, I'll must wait for a CAB file :/
I'll post here the same message I posted on the java bible topic hoping someone will help.
Even if it doesn't support 3D apps and it's an older version there are some users on this forum (including me ) who'd like to have this version on their devices. Isn't there anyone with the right knowledge willing to help us ? Thanks in advance !

This cab include both input and chinese support from HTC Asia rom made by Tom. I just repack the cab to fix the skin portion.

guys, i have a question, is CE-Star no longer working on TD2 WM6.5?
EDITED: the more i browse, the more confusing i am, used to be working fine withe just the CE-STAR, what is missing in the Manila 2.5 ROM?

I tired it with SMS and it worked. You just need to choose the A4 keyboard.
I was wondering, is this only in simplified chinese? Can it do traditional chinese?
Also, I tried to uninstall it but could not.

after I installed it, I can not find A4 keyboard and my SMS is still squares for chinese. Do you know what might be the problem?

I couldn't find this anywhere so I assume no one has posted something like this before.
I flashed my HD2 to Miri's v1.2 ROM and found out I didn't have JBlend anymore. Since I could't find any other JVM that could run Opera Mini as good as JBlend (at least visually) I tried to use the package that came with ROM 1.48 and make a CAB. Unfortunately it didn't install. I removed all the files from my CAB and left the registry parts in it and it installed. I did try to apply the registry changes by importing the reg files but there seemed to a problem and all the 3 registry editors I used said "import finished" and nothing was imported. The CAB however does the job.
So for anyone trying to have the JBlend version that came with the HD2 without flashing another ROM, try this:
1. Unzip all the files in the .zip file to \Windows
AND
2. Install the attached CAB (on the device)
To get the shortcut in start menu, create a shortcut called "JBlend.lnk" pointing to "\Windows\JBlend_AMS.exe" and place it in "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Tools"
(or wherever you want, only, the nice .png icon won't show if it's not in Tools)
Update (March 31st, 2010)
I replaced the files with the ones from the JBlend version that comes with the HD Mini (Photon). Now there's no problem with screen alignment in 6.5.X ROMs anymore.

it lets u run java programs on windows mobile
you guys can try out this too!
is working on my Miri's ROM.
It creates an icon for Opera Mini, making it work like an app.
however, it is buggy sometimes. When u change the input to full screen edit, you cannot press OK or Cancel after typing. This is the only major issue i faced so far.

hum... what exactly is the porblem?
make sure you copy all the files from the .zip file to your \Windows folder and then install the cab, soft reset and now you should be able to run JBlend_AMS.exe from the windows folder.
can anyone else also try this?

Here's a theme that comes in this phone with the original Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard....
It works perfectly on my device (BenQ E72) using Windows Mobile 6.0-6.1-6.5 and i've tested the theme on the Microsoft 6.5 SDK Emulator and works fine too, so i guess it might work on another devices without no problem.
The theme have a dynamic background and it changes acording to the time/hour. *Must be installed on main memory and it requires 5mb.*
**Only works on QVGA Portrait devices (240x320)**
Comes in English and Spanish...If you want another language, please translate the words inside the .txt file from english to your language and then upload it...And please specify the language code...ex: English=0409 Spanish=0c0a French=040c
If the theme doesn't work on your phone or shows an incorrect language try installing the file sdkcerts.cab

Seems you have installed Smartoolkit, try uninstalling it...And install sdkcerts.cab

Which rom is it? I tried with WM6, no problem.
BenQ Theme..
Also no bottom bar on Orange E650/HTC 710 with 6.0 ROM. Other than that great. It would be very good if we had more dynamic themes for newer devices, endless possibilities. thanks..

WM 6.1 0.4.1a3 by Darex.
It works on WM 6.5, but GPRS is not working.

I tried with 0.3.8a no problem. Maybe 20279 build is not useful for this theme.
Did you try to install sdkcerts.cab?
