I moved my cache to the sdcard. If I delete all files located in the /sdcard/cache/webviewCache/ folder, then browse to some of bookmarks (this forum for example), my login is remembered. Are cookies located in a different directory than where the symlink was created?

Each and every android application is bundled as an apk file. When an apk file is installed different entites (files) of the application are stored in different parts of the system.
How can i find out where all the files of a particular application are stored inside the android file system? Is it the right way to parse apk file and find the places where all the parts of the app are stored?? Any ideas?
The apps .apk file should be in /data/app while the apps personal space with settings, configs etc. are in /data/data/packetname/
If it is preset to install to sdcard there is also /sdcard/Android/data
For files that get created on the /sdcard, there is no way of tracking/knowing what belongs to what app.
The captioned folder is repeatedly being loaded onto my android tablet, even after being deleted. What is the source and how can I block it or delete it permanently.
i have the same folder on my phone.
Safe to delete.
The files in this folder are pictures and appears to be some sort of leftover cache for an app UI. The folder and its contents can be safely deleted. If you want to be sure you can move or copy this folder to a windows PC and open the files in a photo viewer.
In my case they came from an app I tried a while back ago and then uninstalled called " Cleanmaster"
Hi folks,
hope I'm posting this in the correct place.
I have my DCIM folder on my SD card, and I have deleted the folder instead of an individual photo in the folder several times now.
Is there a way to prevent the deletion of this folder, by locking it or installing an app that will lock the folder, but not hide it or impact the usability in any way?
Change the permission to read only using any file browser like xplore..
Permission cannot be changed unless its a system folder..
The only option is to be careful not to delete any folder you don't want to or download ES File Explorer from the play store and enable Recycle Bin so you can restore back your folder in case you delete them.
I've installed the ES File Explorer, let's see if that does the trick. Thanks!
SFA is a system manager which uses when we save/open files in the system for other apps.
For instance: i open pcloud to upload some files, press choose and it opens SFA.
The problem that SFA has virtual download folder which shows all downloads: from real download folder + downloads from apps which have no access to device memory.
When the Google assistant had no access to memory it downloaded files to its folder which in the system.
I have no root, so I can't delete these files. Maybe somebody knows how to remove these files using ADB?
Here are the screenshots to explain and show the problem. The screenshots show: the folder in total commander, the folder in SFA (root /downloads), the folder "downloads" which i underlined.
mediafire() com/folder/jvcz2dhmqkwje/SFA
PS Can i add my own folders to SFA favorites list (you can see on the screenshot: downloads, root, bugs, cloud storage)? Apps can add the to this list. Maybe it's possible to edit it?
