App to display new SMS on today screen - General Questions and Answers

Is there an app that does just this other than ZoomSMS and Vito SMS-Chat?
Something that looks nicer perhaps?
Maybe something that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Maybe just add a button to reply that goes to the default messaging threaded SMS.
That's it. No other fancy stuff.

That is a really nice looking idea... I have tried Vito SMS before and disliked it as well.
I hope someone tries to make this.

you can try FEWidgets' sms viewer.. but you'll have to use the FEWidgets today plugin for it

I've actually tried that.. and even made a post request on the Widgets thread for a better SMS widget. It's almost what I wanted, but it's not. Not to mention FEwidgets development is slow.

because there isn't anything to develop. all you can do is add new widgets.

iLauncher can do both that.
The bar above the clock looks like PocketBreeze.

You really think so? I used to use Pocket Breeze and never saw anything like that. And with iLauncher, I can just have one line of icons instead of all the tabs? I really like that it's just one line on the Today screen for several commonly used icons.
Today changer
its a today multi page changer (hard to translate) like sk today commander i have seen others nicer search for in google

There is a skin for PocketBreeze by Juni called Panorama which looks identical to the screenshot. The clock was probably added as a custom plugin.

Clean Home Page

Hello,
I'm already looking for a long time..
I want to remove the call history and calendar shortcut / text.
Can someone just make a very neat and easy cab??
I tried making my own one but i failed
And on XDA i can't find the right treat thats works with stock ROM. Or the clock doesnt work.. Or there are other things that don't work..
With my own cab my home tab looks like this:
(The clock is broken. It stays at 000 and i can't click it.. I can't open the alarm either)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And i can't change my background anymore with this cab.. That blue vista is my wallpaper in the other tabs. but for the home page i made my own background, but it doesn't work.
And after removing my cab it works again like it should (accept for the 'oproepen' and 'agena' stuff:

Already tried but it works for VGA only.. So this will mess up your homescreen even more
Search for "Max Manila" in forum search; Allows you to cycle through having no items other than clock on the home screen, no agenda, no call history, and mixtures. Powerful app.
this one works for me

[Q] Widget/app for displaying missed calls, sms, voicemail, and email?

Coming from WinMo and having had SPB Mobile Shell installed, I've become accustomed to having a widget on my homescreen that shows not only missed calls, but my number of new texts, voicemails and emails. I've searched both directly here on the forum and using google with xda in the search terms, and I haven't been able to come up with any sort of widget or app that does what I'm looking for so far.
I've seen ones that work solely for one form of communication or another, but not all of them at once.
Am I missing it? Does such a thing exist, either here or in the Market?
So, does the lack of replies mean that such a thing doesn't exist, and I'm going to need to hunt down separate apps/widgets for each type of notification, or does the lack of replies mean that nobody can believe I asked such a boneheaded question because the answer is supposed to be totally apparent (to everyone else but me)?

How to add icons to taskbar

I have space for atleast another 4 items/icons in the taskbar. Is there a way to add them in?
Im not really bothered about adding program shortcuts in there... rather live features (like the remaining battery power, signal strength stuff like that which are already on).
Ive done a search but inconclusive.
cheers
i have never seen anyone add items really. so don't know any tutorials out thee. i have installed programs, pocketwit, that seemed to do it....maybe contact them? (or they used part of the taskbar normally silent.)
to mod it (which may give you clues):

Looks really great, i installed it and tried several of the skins. Only downside for me is that it takes up a lot of ram, and ram is precious
lol went to reply and hit thanks instead (welcome..)
but what I wanted to say is, how can you justify the permissions of that app?
They give no explanation at all, and has access to your SMS, Phone ID, Contacts, etc.

That is easy to answer it needs access to sms to display unread sms, to phone to display missed calls, to contacts to show to name in the missed call....
