Recovering deleted MP4 files form DoPod 818Pro - General Questions and Answers

I dump my DoPod memory by itsme's utilities, pdocread.exe then mount image file by using Mount Image Pro V.2.
MIP V.2 attached my dump file as FAT32 drive on my system.
I run TestDisk 6.10 to check my deleteted files under \My Documents\My Videos and found.
I copy those video files (MP4) to my system.
Thanks everybody who developed those utilities.
Now I got my old files back but I can't play recovered files.
Undeleted files form my dumped files its play well after copied to my PC.
Also JPG file can't show the pic if it is a recovered file, but I can see the pic if that was not deleted in my DoPod.
Any suggestion?
Is it because of ActiveSync file conversion?
Do I need to covnert those file in some way?
I don't thik so. I can play undelete MP4 file on my system when I copy it by TestDisk.
Thanks in advance.

Unicode filename and activesync

Is there any way to copy file with Unicode file name over activesync? Activesync doesn't even give an error, it just ignore the file completely. I have some chinese songs that I would like to copy over.
I know I can take out the macro sd, put it in a converter and transfer file over.

[Q] nbf file extension

Im wondering if someone can help me with my backup file which has an .nbf file extension. I use NTI backup to backup my files and save the *.nbf file to my external harddrive. I then re-format my computer. I can no longer access my .nbf file using the NTI backup recovery. Sorry, this is my first time to join a forum since I'm really disperate to recover all my files. Thank you.
i hope somsone can help ^^ i need it too
.nbf are file extensions from BACKUP NOW software.
You probably need to use their software to restore them.
.nbf file extension
Thank you Dark3n for your reply. Yes I did use NTI BACKUP NOW to backup all my files that is why I got this *.nbf file extension. The problem is I save all my .nbf files in my external harddrive and format my computer. I installed the NTI BACKUP NOW software again once I've done formatting my pc and then when I tried to retrieved my file through BACKUP NOW software it can't read my .nbf files. Is there any way I can extract the .nbf files? Thank you.

The video files in sdcard2 always random lost!

Recently, I found a strange thins~(my rom is vegan5.1.1)
I have copied some files (which include the video files and doc files) from my laptop to my micro sdcard in gtablet(patriot 8G 4 class). I copied them through the wifi by using "ES files explorer".
1,2 days later, I found that all the video files which I have copied to the sdcard lost! but the doc files exist!
Then i did some test, and found that it is not cause by the power off/on of the gtablet. The video files will suddenly disappear, maybe 2 hour later, or 2 days later...just a random time...for no reason...
besides that, the if I copy some video files by mounting my sdcard in my laptop, and then I put the sacard in my tablet, these vedio files will not lost even several days later...
anyone ever have the similar issue?
I just want to know why! why just the video files?
this problem is caused by the ROM, or ES files explorer, or my micro sdcard?
thanks!

It's known bug with Vegan B511.
Use ES File manager to create folder named .nomedia (dot nomedia) and put all your video files in there.
Thanks
btw, so if I want put some picture or audio files, I also need to create folder named .nomedia to resist the auto delete?

Auto delete only happen to video and image files. Audio is fine.
Create .nomedia folder and put all video & image files in there.

Recovering deleted / lost files from dump

Good evening everyone!
I was playing with ES File Manager and renaming some pictures by removing file extension to test Gallery and some other file browser. When i decided to rename back these files with their extension (.jpg) i've accidentally deleted a couple of them. Is there any way to recover no-extension files? As far as i've been looking for, most of tools i've used search for files by their extension (.jpg , .mp4, ... ) in the whole memory, and this is troublesome since the files i've deleted have got no format! So i was thinking to dump the memory (copying /dev/block/mmcblk0 to a raw file mmcblk0.raw with "cat" + ">" commands) and then proceeding with TestDisk + PhotoRec: the fact is that after i've copied the mmcblk0 there seems to be no way to browse its content. Does anyone know how to explore dumped memory file or how to recover files that had no extension?
Thank you in advance, :good:
P.S. please forgive my grammar: i'm not English and not used to write on forums >.<
Up.
Each time i copy the memory on computer (via ADB shell) the file copied reaches very large size: 14,7GB when i copied mmcblk0 and more than 9GB mmcblk0p36 (that should be the partition which contains user data from /sdcard/ right? )

recover lost photo with root access

hello,
I have a xiaomi redmi 9 pro phone.
rooted.
I used fstop app to move 80 photo from internal memory to sdcard. sdcard was full and the move has been done and create 0kb file in sdcard.
Photo from inernal memory have been deleted by the app.
I used a lot of app to look for my lost photo but I don't find stuff. I found a lot of "not deleted photo". I don't find any usefull tool that could ignore not deleted files (whatapp and my personnal photo are quite huge, more than 4000 photos).
also I'm surprised not to find a lot of thumbnail because there should be a lot of thumbnail on my phone and also a lot of deleted thumbnail.
I have the date and name of deleted photo isn't there a clever tool that exist and could find them ?
using tool like diskdigger or undeleter that need root access, I don't find stuff, even when looking in a lot of volume. What I'm missing ?
My dream tool :
look for really deleted file
if there are real file : filter by folder, by filename, date, etc.
do you have some tips for me ?
If you have rooted your phone and used several Android recovery tools, but none of them have scanned your lost photos. It is possible that they have been overwritten by new files. The overwritten files cannot be recovered.
That's what happens when you MOVE a file from one drive ( internal sdcard ) to another drive ( external sdcard ):
The file contents are copied in full to some location on the target disk drive.
The directory of the target folder on the target drive is updated to include the new file copied.
The directory of the source folder where the file used to reside is updated to no longer list the file. This causes the actual data for that file on the source drive to be released and marked as unused space.
