Windows CE 6.0 part of Windows Mobile? - General Questions and Answers

When will Microsoft just give up Windows CE 5.x as the base for Windows Mobile and go with Windows CE 6.0 for all future os releases? Even Microsoft itself has a list of reasons (posted on its site) to use 6.0 instead of 5.x. We could even start seeing some better programs being written for Windows Mobile as a result.

WM 7 will be based on CE 6.0 core

Wince 5.0 device project - hardware recommendations

Hi,
I am working on a Windows CE 5.0 device project with MS Platform Builder. So far I am using the x86 emulators to test my image. I would like to run my Windows CE 5.0 image on the actual hardware. I would like to get the recommendations on Windows CE 5.0 hardware devices if anyone using any. I know I can use Icop Vortex ebox-II which comes with Windows CE 5.0 BSP (Board Support Package). Please post any other links to Windows CE 5.0 devices which I can use.
Thanks in advance.

Condeco V2 - Android

Hello.
I am trying to install android on a Condeco V2 tablet. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Device runs WinCE 7 OS, has probably a 32-bit SoC: modern Android OS versions require 64-bit SoC.

It is not WinCE 7, but it is android. Yes there are two versions of Windows and Android. I have one with android. The problem is that when I turn it on it immediately starts the base program and I want to have the usual android.
What is meant with base program ?
