Hi I need to increase the size of the fonts in the start menu on WM6.1, is there a reg key or a software to do this?
thanks
Have you already enabled "large start menu" located in the start/settings/personal tab? Or, is that not big enough? Can't help beyond that, it makes it plenty large enough for me so never had to look for another way.

How do I make the text larger then what the slider in
Settings>System>Screen>Text Size
allows ?
Is there an app that sets this larger or a REG Value I can change.
I looked and so far can not find what I want.

I've used this purchased software with success for changing font size
http://www.penreader.com/pocket-pc-software/CETuner_2002.html
Not sure about it's functionality on windows mobile 6
Good Luck.
There a few ways. If you want reg settings, I'll have to sift through some old posts, otherwise you can use SK Tools. I highly recomend SK Tools, I think it's the best utility around & so do a lot of others. It's great for performance tweaking & modding the UI as well as cleaning up temp files & optimizing the registry.
Thanks I will try them.
My dad is thinking of going from a Razor to a Tilt but wants bigger fonts so he can read it.
Not worried about how much just how big.
SK Tools
SK Tools looks to be pretty cool.
But Still can not get the today screen font bigger then what "text size" in settings does.
Is there a way to do this ?
Maybe I missed a setting in SK Tools ?

Give this some play time as well. It's called zoom & you can map to a HW button & use on any page. I personally like to select the two last items in the options menu. Then you have to execute & imediately touch what you want to zoom in on. the tap again to exit. For the settings, you execute then don't touch the screen. After a moment the options will come up.

Pretty slick

Hi..how do I influence the size of the characters in the Raphael menus? The Start Menu has a nice letter size but all the other menus have a much bigger size. Ugly, I think. Is there a registry tweak thing for the Raphael that allows it?
Touch Pro Menu Size
I have the same problem... start menu is GINORMOUS and ugly. I feel like a blind person
Does anybody know how to fix this? The settings>system>text size adjusts the other onscreen text size but not in the start menu & signal/battery life/etc bar.
please help
so, you either change the raphael theme under Today, or with Advanced Configuration Tool turn the function 'Large Start Menu' off
There is a Reg edit
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\PopFnt then change Ht to 900 Decimal or less if you want the letters smaller.
This does normal Menus not the start menus

Hi yahu
where can the advanced config tool be found??
Here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420855&highlight=advanced+config
Or YOU can search for it!!
The info on how to do this is readily available. No need for a dedicated thread again.
Is there any way to change the full screen popup menu in 6.5 to the normal type of pop up menu?
Preferably to the larger type of popup menu (the finger friendly type) instead of the old 6.1/5.0 popup menu
Many thanks
Theres a number of things you can do to get it like that... you can install fingermenu.. or you can use Advanced Config to increase menu text size to LARGE which will make it similar to that.
Thanks Aegishua that is what I have and I dont want the full screen menu.
I just want the normal pop up menu, I have 'borrowed' this picture from elsewhere but I just want this type of menu...
No idea's anybody?
The one you have is...
Rhodium menu enhacement... so i think that feature is cooked inside... you must to find another rom without this feature cooked inside... or maybe there is a reg hack to disable the feature but i dont know where maybe you can search in HKLM/software/htc/
good luck
I would try another rom...
Thanks + QUE
I knew it would be a registry edit somewhere and after spending ages looking I coundent find anything but you hit the nail on the head "Rhodium menu enhacement"
A quick Google for the above pointed me to some cab files on XDA-Developers nd after deleting the entries hey presto I did look here but I did not know what the real name of the new style menu was so for anyone else intrested follow this...
Delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCMENUS
Delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCSCROLL
Delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\RESPROXY
Then navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\MASD and delete the two items HTCSCROLL and MENUENHANCEMENT
Then navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PKG and delete the item SHADOW
Then vavigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\GWE\MENU and delete the item CUIHANDLER
Thats it, enhanced menus but not full screen.

I am having the same issue and have been unable to find any info.
Several people have suggested advanced config, which has several font settings, but they do not seem to have any effect, at least on my device.
You may want to give it a try on yours.
Go to settings > system settings > screen and there is an option to change font size, see if that works for you. I didn't for me, but who knows

I've still not found a way to adjust fonts with TouchFlo, but at least for popup menus, you can disable TouchFlo, and then the device will go back to using Windows fonts, which can be adjusted using Advanced Config or other tool.
You can use TD2 Tools, go to the TouchFLO tab, and uncheck Enable TouchFlo Popup Menus.
Hi!
How can I change the hexagonal icons layout in the Start and Settings menu ("Honeycomb") back to the square layout? The hexagonal makes me feel dizzy.
Thanks
It's nearly impossible to do that, since the code for the hexagon layout is hidden deeply.
There are a lot of .cabs for that kicking around. What kind of phone.

I spent about an hour searching via Google
Phone - Xperia X2.
It is enough to just point me to the right registry value, if there is any.

Yes, the Start Menu and Setting menu. Sorry for not being clear
OK, no problem. Well I'm surprised that Denko is saying that there are a lot of cabs for that, because as far as I know, it is not possible.
Will await his reply then.
OK, I'v found something. A small configurable application called XTask, download link here.
Btw, if you don't know where to start, just click on the taskbar and drag the line down. The XTask Settings allow you to configure its internal menu and also replace the Start Menu entirely with its own diagonal icon layout.
Alternatively in its settings set it so its file manager starts when clicking the Start Menu icon and browse to Windows\Start Menu\Programs directory. It is normally alphabetically sorted and you can arrange shortcuts to various subfolders. It can be even more easily done with Total Commander or from PC.
And for phone settings click on Control. It arranges icons by same strange order, probably like the original Start Menu, but maybe I'll find how to change that.
