Hi Guys,
I've just upgraded to DA Mobile 6 Release 5 RC1 rom and its working great, but only one minor problem.
ON the last WM5 rom, I could use the on screen keypad to type out a text message, rather than the qwerty on screen or the pad ( i had grown rather used to it).
I cant see the option for using the keypad input anywhere at all in any of the menus.
IS this feature not including in the rom, or am I just being dumb and missing it?
Regards
Goldfish
r u referring to XDA Mobile 6 Release 5 RC1?
your question is kind of jumbled. are you trying to use the on screen keyboard or the hardware keyboard on your device?

Try this out. Touch KeyPad/KeyBoard(Freeware)
ahhh, i get the ? now.
another one is the pocket keyboard, www.pocketcm.com
what i don't understand on both the one werd suggested and pocketkb is why they didn't put a period (.) on the main keyboard instead of having to go somewhere else, it's a hassle when using it to type a web address.
edit: actually just noticed on pocketcm website you are able to configure the keyboard layout, maybe it can be changed to add a period...anywho i don't use either, my fingers are too big lol
thanks for replying guys, sorry my message was a bit garbled.
I tried the touch keypad, but still cannot get the alpha numberical keypad
just like the one in the image under title Touch keyboard v1.0 Description
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-touch-keyboard-v1-0.html
Turn off one touch symbol presses in options. then create a new text message
tried that, didnt make a difference.
After installing touch keyboard, i get the same keyboard lay out on screen, no matter if i pick keypad or keyboard.
beginning to think that the rom may have got corrupted and needs re flashed
you have to be in a spot where you can enter text or else it shows the default keyboard man, that's why i said create a new text message. just read the comments on that page i linked if you have to
I turned off auto substitution and that seemed to fix it.
guys your all great, thanks for the help

Try either of these. I think they will give you what you are looking for... T9 Keypad SIP. The first is English only. The second has lots of international languages.
Hello!
I have a problem with alphabet bar in contacts list on Windows Mobile 6.5. There is alphabet bar on the right side of the list, so when i press any letter on it (except #) it shows me the end of the list, just to bottom of it. And i noticed that the letters "I" and "U" are missing.
I have Touch HD, Manila 2,5. The problem occurs both in HTC contact manager and in WM contact manager.
I tried to install random access, but after that WM contact manager stopped working at all. it can not be opened.
Please, anyone know how to fix this bug?
Thank you!
Hi,
As the title suggests, I'm wondering whether there is something out there that can give my phone (a T-Mobile-branded Vario IV) the predictive dialer like the one in the Vario II.
The dialer of the Vario II worked like this:
In the dialer when I started typing a number, say 017, then the dialer would give me a list of all contacts whose numbers had this combination of numbers (0171..., 0172...,0173..., etc).
So rather than the dialer recognizing letters in the typing, I wan't it to return me results based on the actual numbers I dial.
I hope someone can point me in the right direction with this.
Best,
DT
Try the latest NRG, his dialers have this option.
Did you try default WM6 dialer? Just disable phone skin in Adv.Config and restart.
hi, I was looking for answer on forum but i dont even know what to looking for so I post new thread...
I have in my TP EnergyROM with Coockie and Sense 2.5 from march 8 and I reinstalled EzInput 1.5 keyboards with polish lang pack cab...
my problem is that when i go into people->all people/add favourite->search field and start typing I'm kind of lost focus on first character - it marks itself and in a moment it unmark, then when i press another letter key it type automaticaly 2 characters at once and then unmark again - on text field is now 3 chars but i only tap on 2 keys?!?!?!?
example, to imagine what am I talking about:
1. in text field press "k"
k
2. then i press "o"
kkm
I use "phone kyboard" (and i really want to use this keyboard and not qwerty) with t9,
but when I disable t9 it does another stupid trick - I tap twice to get "k" [jkl] and he gives me jk in text field ?? :/
I also disable all t9/word completion/substitution in Input Options and in "Phone Keyboard" Options - reboot and still same behavior
when I am writing sms message or in the notepad there is no such behavior
and there is no such behavior when making appointments or typing in Internet serach text field....
I have also installed FingerKeyboard2 if this is important....
btw. sorry for my bad english...
Hi all!
Just wondering I anyone can tell me how to (if it's even possible) change which emojis appear along the top of the numbers and symbols on the keypad (when you press 12# when texting)?
Thank you!!

If you're using the HTC TouchPal keyboard, I'd recommend you go to Play Store and get the Google GBoard virtual keyboard.
You can switch between the two and test, and I'll bet a cold beer that you will like emojis, gifs, and other great goodies that come with using this keyboard.
