Hi All,
I've just got an Samsung Galaxy S that is coded to a provider network.
So far so good ...
After I've installed an application and root the phone and then unroot it, my pone doesn't recognize my sim card ...
If I navigate to the Mobile Network from Settings then I get No SIM card inserted.
Facts to take into consideration:
- I have restarted the phone;
- I have applied a factory reset and lost all my data except music and files I've got on it;
- I have shacked the SIM card a little bit;
- I didn't applied a hard reset to it;
- I did tried to put a different provider SIM card and the message I get is to insert PIN then is asking for the UNLOCK NETWORK PIN;
- I am able to log in the phone but with no service
Please note that when starting / restarting the phone I get no Insert PIN popup
Anyone has an ideea why ?

PDA:
PHONE: Unknown
CSC:
I guess the IMEI cannot be recognized by the phone.
At least, I wrote it before rooting and flashing.
Any help will be highly apreciatted!

After several restarts, hard reseting the phone and enable-disable networking I still get the sim card removed from time to time ... I don't really know how to debug this... if there is anyone on this forum with the right experience in order to debug the system please write me and maybe we can find a solution.
I must mention that I have unlocked my phone and also rooted it.

well my sim card has been identified but i can't seem to register on the network.....thats as far as i got as a noob with my first android (xperia x8)......can someone help me from here on......
i get nothing from sims from various networks, it doesn't even register as having a sim in it...
unlocked and darkys rom... driving me crazy, it basically a large mp3 player at the moment...
Maybe have installed the wrong ROM. i9000 has many bases and radios. I had this problem installing 900mhz ROM on a 850mhz sim.

Hmm, ok this might be the issue, flashing the htc desire is so much simpler!!
Will try to find correct radios and stuff again...

Even I am having the EXACT same issues right now. I also did the factory reset but that doesn't help!

Have u managed to find a fix? im havin this issue except my phone remembers the IMEI....

Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone is still interested but I've found that putting the phone into flight mode and then rebooting seems to work, because when I then turn flight mode off it asks me for my pin code and service is restored. As long as the IMEI folder is still in the efs folder then things should be fine.
Hope this helps for anyone who is here or just stumbles across this.
I've had the same problem > Sim Card not found.
I went to the Vodafone repair center today they said the phone had water damage.
Its never been near any water ever-they said that it could have happened months ago - "perhaps you hand wet hands once?". Its still in warranty but the apparent water damage means the warranty its now invalid. So now I'm stuck with an expensive video/audio player with WiFi access. Any help or progress with this issue would be great. Thanks
I fixed the issue bu flashing a working Modem from another rom. Just extract the modem.bin and flash it with odin

:Been flashing rom in n out in this forum for ma LG P970 n a weird problem occured to me
-just flashed ma latest rom(Lezo Rom) n everything went smooth but only ma network didnt show up , Everything else work . Sim already installed in .
-Ma reflex was that ma sim burnt during flashing(it happened to me once) but not at all !! Tried it on ma nokia 5800 (v vip ) n it show that i had to edit ma PUK n pin code . Edited done
-Put back sim in fone but same result : sim missing
-So what i did was simply to go> setting > theme > brightness n pin code appeared to me .
-TADA n its done

i am looking here since 3 days to find a solution for my problem, but still not founded it. so, my problem is:
my i5801 (with flashed fw I5800XWJH2) doesnt recognize my sim card (which is french orange) card anymore. i tried to put into the phone an other sim card (which is german vodafone) and it works. while unlocking i lost my imei. it would be great when somebody could help me, because it start to be a bit frustrated for me.

no, i dont did it. few days ago it has well worked with my standard sim card but one day it has stopped to work.
Try to put your SIM into other phone. Maybe your SIM is crashed. If other SiM worked in your phone, it can be so. Sorry for my bad english.

if u have lost ur IMEI no it is a problem at least in my country u wont get net work connection if ur phone does not have an IMEI if u have backed up ur efs then see in the development section their is a thread on how to get ur IMIE back

I have MicroMax A100. Suddenly boot problem developed after unsuccessful installation of some games.
From Reflashing by above post able to boot device but could not detect sim card.

I tried all possible way i.e. remove battery & sim card as well as SDRAM for 10 mins. etc.
Nothing happens. Same SIM working well in other mobile.
When I google it I found many people having similar problem where after flashing SIM is not detecting. Is there any generic answer for this Generic Question.

Maybe you could reflash or do another rom or reset your whole device.

i would suggest you to try checking in other phones...(probably not a smartphone) i encountered the same problem after flashing my phone with the wrong ROM... somehow i got my SIM card running again.....
if you still face the problem... get your SIM card Replaced with a new SIM card and same number from your service provider. that way u can get your number activated:angel:

Recently I have updated my one x on 4.2.2 with the help of this http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-x-att/news/ and after that my phone is not picking singal of my sim before the update it was working ok. I tried 2 different other network sims and they worked but my sim is not working I had touched my tongue on the golden area of the sim and then re-insert the sim and it pick the signal but they are gone in 10 mins. Can anybody tell me how can I fix this problem ? Is this is the problem of the firmwear update ? can anybody tell me how can I downgrade my phone back to 4.1 ?

You can't downgrade to an earlier Android version unless you unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery, get s-off, and flash a custom ROM or run an earlier RUU. I think this is a bit extreme though because you're not experiencing a software issue, you're experiencing a physical problem with your SIM card or SIM card tray. You can try sticking a piece of tape (of two) to the back side of the SIM card, this will force the contacts together a bit better. That will probably fix your problem.

hello guys i have a strange problem. When installing Android 13 (no matter which ROM I choose), the mobile phone can no longer access the SIM card after the installation. Occasionally access to the SIM card works again and I can make calls, but after a new boot/airplane mode it's the same problem. I installed the latest firmware and TWRP and also tried it with older versions.
Have you ever had a problem like this and/or have any idea what it could be?
