Keep Wifi active during Standby - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello everyone,
is there a tweak to keep the wifi connection active when I turn off the phone into standby mode?
I need this because I am using the program Mobiola Webcam via Wifi and I dont want the display on while I am streaming the video to my pc.
On my Omnia there was a Option for that. But I cant find this setting on the HTC touch Pro.
Thank you.

theres no setting but i wish there was.

I think Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool has a setting for this, or you can alter the appropriate setting in the registry.
Try here, for more info. http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-401130.html
If not search, the info you need is definitely here somewhere....

yes advance config and diamond tweak have the options and i use then it works great. I dont think advance config settings really work because when i enabled the option to have my wifi on during standby it did not work but then i changed the settings in diamond tweak and it worked perfectly.

Wifi auto connect?

Hi,
I wonder if there is a way to let my machine (PDA Phone: Dopod D810 with WM6) switch on the wifi connection automatically whenever I launch a program that requires Internet access (such as the Internet Explorer).
Now when I launch the IE and type in an URL, it will automatically switch on the GPRS connection to load the page. I don't want this. I want it switch on the Wifi connection automatically instead of the GPRS.
Could anybody help?
Thanks a lot!
That's a good idea. It's very anoying that we have to manualy switch on Wifi before clicking on IE.....
There must be a way, I bet it's just a simple reg tweak.
Anyone out there care to help out?
Thanks in advance......
I use PIE a lot over EDGE, so having WiFi on evertime i start PIE would be an overkill and a waste of battery, however, what about mapping a button/key to WiFi On/Off switch? Would that be possible?

HTC Touch HD - how to set wifi stay connected in standby

Hi,
I somewhere saw (i think in mobilemagic) an option to set Wifi staying connected in standby mode.
Is there any possibility to set this in without this tool - cause I'm using CommMgrPro instead and I'd like to stay connected when I'm at home to acces it from my PC.
Thanks in advance
i think advanced config has such an option. or touch HD tweak.
Ciao
Fred
Thanks
found it in both...
But it drains the battery very fast.
So I decided not to use.
Thanks anyway
wifi drains the battery pretty fast anyways... doesn't matter which software you use to keep it running.

I suggested something similar previously, and that was a program that would manage WLAN such that it keeps WLAN off when not needed, and once another program tries to access net (connect), it would then turn on the WLAN automatically so that connection can be used with that program.
Maybe something that could be implemented into the existing G-Profile.
There is a native timeout option somewhere in wlan settings but it only works when you are not connected to any router. And it should turn off when device is suspended if you haven't tweaked a specific regkey
you can use mortscript to run an app which toggles Wifi Off at a specific interval depending on your connection state. there are many small cabs scattered around the forum (easy to find)...
yeah i did it with mortscript. i have about 10 if-clauses. (start fring when wlan available etc.) very powerful scripting engine! i also created some reg keys which are monitored by homescreen+...

Please help wifi N

Please help!!
1.I have a Belkin router draft N and I can not connect. I can connect with all other routers except routers with draft N.
Is there something that I have to do.
2.I would like also to ask how can I deactivate the sound while I am dialing. It breaks my nervous.
Thanks.
Alright mate.
To turn off the keypad noise when dialing, go to the settings tab, menu, all settings, personal, phone and it's the keypad value you want to change.
For switching on wifi-N (which isn't actually a default setting) there's a registry change, but I cant remember what it is/where it is.
There's a cab for enabling it in the cabs list in my signature, or you can install BsB Tweaks and do it from there.
Hope this helps
the registry to change is
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BCMSDDHD1\Parms\11nModeDisable
change it to 0
My favourite way to change the registry is to use CeRegEditor on your PC..

it's superb, just connect your HD2 to the pc with your USB cable, run the app and explore away..

[Q] Better WiFi perofrmance settings

I have found that my WiFi is only working when I set "Best Wi-Fi Performance" in my Windows Mobile 6,5. When this option is off, WiFi doesnt work.
I think its hardware problem, but worst is, that in standard Android WiFi settings, I cant find similar option like one above. So I cant use WiFi on my Android and as it is my only option of Internet on that device, it makes Android useless for me.
My question is, is there any program, hack, tweak, file edit, shell command or whatever... that can boost WiFi similar to WM option?
