What is the reg key to disable Error reporting
How the heck do i move the Live Messenger and Windows Live Shortcuts for Start menu without getting a double. Where is the original entry that moves them from the windows directory to the Start Menu\ Programs.
I know how to do the steps just cant find the sections.

I did that with the shortcuts, but now i got 2 copies of each.

I have a real simple question....I lost my command instructions for Typho5.exe, and it has totally slipped my mind.
What is the command to to seperate GSM, IPL & SPL, & OS from nk.nbf with out the files being split up?
From what I remember it was - typho5.exe nk.nbf -nosplit?
Is that correct? I'm sure I'm missing something here.

Well, I had already said this once already, but look at the proxml file in the windows live folder, and delete the first two entries, or change the direct that there are to be installed too!

Thats correct!
If you open 'run' and type the address of the folder you can have it run with out opening a command prompt
e.g D:\DEV_WIZcrossbow CLEAN-V2\Dump\typho5.exe -x nk.nbf
Then you just place you nb file in the same folder each time and run it from the run command in start menu. It will keep it there as well for you to use and use!!!
funman i figured an easier way out. just rename the shortcuts and make the changes in the initflashfiles.dat. LOL. Thanks though. I guess your way is correct. Now my only issue is making my ROM have more memory. Im stuck at 23.49 available program memory. Im working off my vanilla rom. Any suggestions?

Well you could do it that way, but i would say that it would help your PPc if there was not redendet reg and other thing sitting in the PPC

Now that that is done, onto my memory issues. LOL. And i dont mean my brain. Basically im trying to get at least 30 mb available memory. here is the drill down of my startup folder.

I did it by making a resource file, placing it into windows and then making an
ico.lnk or icon.lnk ...don't remember and have no time to check now.
Dirrect that icon to the resource you created, make it invisible and put it into the folder you want to change appearence

doubt you can find it as a cab as it normaly is included in the rom
most likely you can just take the 1 exe file from another device
Here is the exe file from my wm6 rom - place in \windows and try it. I tested its dependencies and there are 3 dll files - hopefully you have these in your rom already.

which is followed by:
Cannot open Bubble Breaker resource file
I have a total of 4 BubbleBreaker files in my \windows directory.

Oh you did not mention you already had it in your rom - probably a problem with the cooked rom your using - can you not try another rom as finding the problem may be quite difficult?

Meschle, I sent those files to my phone from my friends phone. They were not on there initially, I put them there after attempting to use the file you suggested.

I am having the same problem when launching BubbleBreaker - SHCreateMenuBar failed, then device freezes. Sometimes I even have to soft reset it.
Now, besides BubbleBreaker being a favourite game, I'd like to be able to fix that issue. The link above doesn't work. However, I tried using BubbleBreaker.exe from my other device - when I try to paste "BubbleBreaker.exe" into the Windows directory, I get "Access denied" message. Is there a way to cheat the system, and will this actually work?
The device I am talking about is Sharp S01SH, firmware updated to 1.05a, running OS 5.1.476.3 AKU .3.5.0.

Right, found a few different CABs for BubbleBreaker and Solitaire. Installed - BubbleBreaker now works but is a quite different version from what I know it to be...
Solitaire doesn't work (neither of the three shortcuts that appeared in Programs/Games).
At least the annoying SHCreateMenuBar error is gone.
These work on Tilt "Bubble Breaker & Solitaire"
None of the cabs I tried install tje game as I know it. And these only make a new installation in Program Files, they do not fix/replace the built in Bubble breaker.
I tried copying the exe and other files from my other device, w-zero3, and replaced the existing ones on my s01sh - still the same shcreatemenubar failed error...

Sorry, you can't do much with it. At best you'll be able to see it as an archive, as you do on your desktop.

I have a Tilt with wm6 and I am running low on space. I noticed in my windows folder that I have several wma files in there that I did not put in there. They are taking up around 12mb of space but the system will not let me remove them! I have Total Commander and even after changing them to a non-system file, it still won't let me remove them. Do I need them for some odd reason? If not, how can I get rid of them and recover some much desired space?
For example, there is a Gin Blossoms song, a Stylistics song?, Ted Leo Pharmacy song, Communique song, the Oranges, Ray Charles, Frightened something, Assembly of something, and I want to delete the 3G up wave file and video since I have them disabled.

you'll need to cook your own rom, or find another rom to install that has all those files removed...
rom files are locked and must be removed before the rom is flashed onto your device.

what i did before was to create a blank file using notepad and then save it as a wma file with the same filename as the ones i wanted to remove. then using Resco Explorer, i copied it over the original file.
i know this will give me more storage space, will it give me more ram too?
no flash ram cant be used as app ram
and for at least most devices not using all the os flash dont even yeld any
storage ram for usage

Oldsap! I hope you realize that by doing this, you actually accomplished NOTHING. Files in ROM can be "covered" with a different version, but they are still there, taking up the space they already did. You merely supplanted a newer version with a smaller size (maybe "0"), covering the one that was there already.
Test my theory, try deleting the 0-byte file you copied there, and miraculously, the old file will appear again, untouched, and the same size it always was.
Test my theory again ... "cover up" one of the files that's 1MB with a file by the same name, but 0 bytes. Then check your storage space, and you will see that you did not save a single byte.
This is just the way that ROM files work. The only way to get rid of them is to cook them out - period.

Believe it or not, I like the theme. Someone want to extract it for me or give me the instructions to extract it? I bet I could find it somewhere in the diamond thread but my computer is being a pain in the @$$ and is dead slow. Would someone be so kind so that I can keep this theme after I flash a faster rom with no bloatware.

Um. Same as in any other ppc? I just think you're a lil over the top today otherwise you would've seen it! LOL! It's Menu>Edit>Paste. Same as where the copy is lol.
EDIT: Maybe I'm over the top. I forgot you said Total commander. I can't install that right now. I remember it was something like Move, Replace, Copy or something. I'll post again when i find it.

haha yeah i woulda been fine in file explorer but it wont let you paste there
and tc has copy/move but theres no paste its confusing
and how to make them work again under games
Pocket Mechanic will move them from device to storage card whilst still leaving the game installed.

I had this problem and just fixed it, didn't even use pocket mechanic
I have resco file explorer, all I simply did was move the games in the Gameloft folder on my device into Storage Card/Program Files/Gameloft
I then made copies of the shortcuts to the games and placed them in My Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Games
And voila, it worked, and no reappearing of the huge gameloft files in My Device
Did it without resco and didn't work

but t\and I have been doing so for ages BUT it just doesnt work for all ( like midnight pool for instance )
There are a lot of discussions about this ongoing out in the web. It does not work because of ONE file per game that cannot be run from SD.

Interesting, the games that I moved and worked included midnight pool 2.. (the games I moved were midnight pool 2, avatar and texas hold em poker)
Weird how it only works for some...
Maybe its differences in ROMs?
I am currently using the May 9th Energy ROM if that helps..

Well first of all you have to have resco
Then open it up, and simply just navigate to required folders and you are able to do all the cut and pasting by touch =]

i try to load the exe from the folder and nothing work only midnight pool 2 the only one that did work , am i doing something wrong ?

Nothing happens and theres no error , and the shortcuts right
Some gameloft games can be installed / moved to storage card. Just recreate the shortcut using tool like total commander - cecmd
